The Kansas City CHIEFS might be COOKED! Forget Super Bowl.. They may NOT make The Playoffs

The Chiefs 10 games into the season are 5005 and5 and have no control over their destiny or their ability to make the playoffs this year. There’s a lot of different scenarios. If certain teams win, they’re out. They need a few losses here and there, but it’s no straight path to the playoffs for the Chiefs. What do the Kansas City Chiefs do in this situation? Because this is the forking road. And I know we’ve talked about it before. Every season there’s some kind of lull in the season where you think the Kansas City Chiefs have struggled. They’re this, they’re that, but they’re going to find a way at the end of the season to win. They’re 500 right now and I do not see a path for them. I don’t see a path. I don’t see things improving in the way they’re going to need to for the Kansas City Chiefs to be in the playoffs. I mean, forget Super Bowl. This may be the first year they missed the playoffs. And that’s not what I was expecting to say coming into this season. It’s going to be tight. It’s not going to be like any other year. But again, if the Chiefs get in, they’re a very dangerous team that knows how to get to Super Bowls, knows how to prepare, and knows how to execute down the stretch. But they definitely need the Chargers to lose, which they did today, and the Jags to start losing. I don’t know, Chiefs fans, is this the year they miss it? We going to see.

  1. There’s no path for them for an obvious reason. Without that “extra boost”. They’re average at best. Exactly where their record sits currently. No real big surprise here.

  2. I'm not surprised by this at all. They've made the AFC championship game or the Super bowl for 5 years straight? That's a lot of long seasons, and was bound to catch up eventually, especially after losing the SB last year. I fully expect the Chiefs to be a powerhouse again next year, especially if they miss the playoffs and have a full off-season for once.

  3. If they win out they’ll make the playoffs but never I have seen a more ICU (inconsistent, complacent & undisciplined) football team filled with talent from top to bottom waste a great opportunity at chance to make another SB run. They’re top 7 in both total offense & defense (also rank 11th in TO margin), this falls on Reid! Coaching is more important in football than it is compared to basketball & baseball, a good football coach can make a good team great & a bad team good (clock management, defensive & offensive scheming is some of the most crucial parts of the game). Why Reid didn’t chip block more and run against the Broncos absolutely blows my mind to this day (especially when the “King of coming off bye weeks” had 2 weeks to prepare for the most important regular season game KC has had in the past decade) 🤦‍♂️ Going 3 & out with 4 min left (pass, pass & pass) against that defensive line is uncalled for & he allowed for Denver to keep all their timeouts 🤦‍♂️

  4. They just have absolutely no elite or top tier talent on offense. Not on the O line or skill position players. Howie Roseman and Belichick both would have let go of Chris Jones whos old and expensive and not dominant at all and travis Kelce,, who is the exact same. Im sorry but the Chiefs GM has been horrible for yrs. He was being praised for moving off and not paying players and he thought he could just put magomes out there with anyone and win it all. Absolutely horrible and sloppy job from the GM. They need to be the team who trades for AJ Brown because he will be traded only to an AFC team and it would be perfect for KC. Then in the draft get the run game fixed and boom back to dominating
