[Highlight] Packers RB Josh Jacobs on the MetLife stadium: “Definitely the worst. Always been the worst. I know if I ever play there again I will never talk about it because I talked about it all week, how bad it was, and it bit me in the ass.”

  1. While this argument is not statistically correct (the rate of injury is no longer higher since the change in surface), I do worry it will limit the ability to attract free agents in the future

  2. I don’t doubt that he hates MetLife’s turf. But him saying it’s always been the worst is disingenuous considering the last time he was in town was 2021 unless I overlooked a game. Which was before the turf was replaced.

  3. The place is such a shithole all around,it’s upsetting that’s it’s fairly new and we will have to deal with the big toaster for a long time to come.

  4. He played on the turf and got injured and is himself blaming the turf for the injury. But most here say the guy on the field who got hurt isn’t as smart as the majority here because of some analytics. I’ll trust the players who are out there on it.

  5. I wonder if this has an impact on our ability to land free agents? Everyone knows its the worst field with what feels like the highest probability of leg/knee/foot injuries

  6. Everyone is getting too stuck on the turf piece. That’s only part of what makes it awful. It’s that under the turf is legit just a slab of concrete. So it’s like 2 inches of turf over concrete especially on cold nights that shit has to hurt.

  7. MetLife stadium is the absolute worst and I may not ever go to another game tbh lol. Besides the traffic when driving/crowds on train, the stadium is just lifeless. No fun camaraderie/activities or interesting food options. It’s just average.

I went to a Falcons game a few years ago in ATL and that was an incredible experience. Gorgeous stadium, tons of fun games outside, and food was so cheap. It’s such a shame what we gotta deal with in NY.

  8. I wonder what makes it worse than the turf in the Lions stadium that he plays on every year… You know, the exact same turf that we use in MetLife 🤦‍♂️
