NHL Highlights | Hurricanes vs. Jets | November 21, 2025

Comry under the microscope for sure. This will
be the 79th start of his career. He won against Columbus on Tuesday in that 5-2 victory and
he is the go-to guy now. Miss with everything surrounding this game. Let’s remember two terrific
teams. A good test for both first place team in the East Carolina. Here’s Stall cutting shoots.
Scores Jordan 16 seconds in opens the scoring. First shot of the game in a pressure
game. Eric Comry is stepping in as a starting goalender here for the next four to
six weeks. And Jordan Stall, he’s the checker, the center of that checking line that goes
up against Jonathan Taves, the second line for the Jets. And he does a little stop up.
This is a heck of a play from the big man, the veteran on his offside. He stops. Little
slip over stall. Slap pass toward the front. It was redirected and collected now by Taves.
will cut away from the checker blocker. Jonathan Taves. There’s a shot right on by Perfetti
and they’ll rebound off the bus stop. Well read there by Shley. One- nothing Hurricanes
as that’ll leak out to center. Jets are six and four at home. Carolina 73 and one on the
road. Mark Shley Josh Moresy shot scores. Morrisy with goals and two
straight. We’re tied at one. make it five and high fives all around for
Josh Morsy and the Jets and Mark Shley with three assists in his franchise record setting
games played game against Columbus and one of them was to Josh Morsy and this is about the line
that can dictate their style that that’s the line that will win this match up rider in on the for
check and centering pass L is there he bats out a good save by busy who kicked out that right
is the line that’s going to have the puck more and you can’t expect those three men to defend
the Lowry line. If they get the puck on the wall like they do and they chum and they get into the
front of the net, how can you battle? How can you compete with that style? You can’t. The same is
true the other way. If Stankov play mentioned the fact that the Hurricanes are first in the East
by a point. The Jets are seventh in the West, but four points separate third place from 12th.
That shot sails wide. had his sixth 40point season last year. Somewhat unheralded offensively, I’d
say. Hall plays it to Stall. Jordan Stall’s got Robinson nearby. He’ll steer it back to Chatfield.
Shot kicked away by Comry. Shot by Keandre Miller who came over from the Rangers in a big deal.
July the first stall using that reach against Baron. A couple of big centermen there. Baron
will grab it and start away. That’s how you kill a play. Logan Stanley on the hips. He just wins a
battle. knocks his man off of his feet and boom, instantly the Jets out of trouble. DeAndre Miller
now 25 years old, pretty good skater. Champfield turned it over. Here comes Shley. Shaggley’s
got Connor with it. Valardi sets it up and a save by Stall as Connor tried to bang that one
in. Boy, that line can make things happen in the blink of an eye. A little flick of the puck from
Polardi springs shely. A little detailed play, but how dangerous this top line for Winnipeg can be.
Carried ahead by Punk. threw it toward the blue line reaching for it was shotly got gloved down
by the defense by Seth Jarvis from Winnipeg where we 24 here he comes turns it on cuts back leaves
it but waiting there was Baron as they chip away at it bear walks up sets it up good stop by as he
read the pass to Jarvis makes a couple beautiful saves there’s Nikolai Eers chuming on the wall so
the Hurricanes get it out of the pile and quickly to the 17 seconds left in the penalty to Valardi.
Now Walker send that to Hall. Stan Khovich shot. Good reactionary save by Cry. That’ll bounce to
the line. Held in by Walker. Good mobility from Cry. Great save and he needed that up. Now
short-handed Martin Hook will sweep that. It was blocked and they cut it back and threw it
to the corner. Would have been trying to get possession. Now Riley at center 50 games with a
heart problem last year. Coerfetti Valardi scores. Gabriel Valardi seventh gives the Jets their first
lead. Four. And that is pressure game. Play with pressure. And that’s a straight line attack from
Valardi. He gets into a passing lane and he just knocks this one down. And look at Perfetti who
tracks him. He mirrors Valardi and he anticipates possible turnover. Delivered it behind the goal.
jumped away from Stanley. He tangles with Hall. Follows him up toward the blue line. Long shot
jump shot blocker save for the Winnipeg native Seth Jarvis. 33 goals, 32 goals. So consistent.
Here comes Lowry with a head of steam. Lowry. Oh, he missed an open net. Little hesitation move.
A great looking rush. He just couldn’t finish. He got his first to open the scoring against the
Blue Jackets on Tuesday. The Winnipeg Jets right back in. No need a rudder stops at the hatch
marks looking for Lowry. He was tied up by a follow as Jarvis get over after it. Pinching
was develop. He’ll turn and charge back for a change. Got 75 Carolina. They had a stall
goal of 16 seconds but then two for Winnipeg. Morsy and Valardi cut off stall center shot down
front. Dave hit Perry in front of Conry and the Jets Baron will drive that in on the back end.
That is a difficult save for Comry to make. How quickly that comes out of the corner from Stall
Martin gets that shot reaction save from Conry. Cut away from a check of the 28 points but can’t
get it out that time or that time. A turn. Oh, he sent that through the stop in the middle
that was headed for the net and he volied that away. had a chance to fall in behind Eric Carry.
Let’s take another look. It does. And oh, baby, did Dlo knock that out of thin air? He did. That
was on route to What a save. Terriic hands from Dlo. That shot stickked away by Comry. See Walker
stepping up on him and Key shot it in behind the net. Keepy with two assists in 14 games. Now
a chance for Shley. Shley shoots and busy got a piece. Snish was in front. You’re spending it
offensively. And speaking of that, look at that. Shipley above his option. Create the turnover. And
that close. Got it right back behind and took an odd bounce. A good one for Stanley, but he topped
it up. Mark couldn’t play it cleanly. Same for Sh for Chfield. Back to the lineup
tonight. Redirected score. What a play. Stall with a second. And we’re tied at two. This is a plan and timing this perfectly.
A nice wind of the puck low to high. And watch Chapfield waits. Waits and he’s waiting
for his captain to arrive in that high slot. He’s shooting for the tip. And that pass
has to have enough velocity so that when redirected it can still have enough gas
to get to the net. Jordan Stall now Mark Shley over the logo at center leaving
it. That’s poked away by Miller. And this is Sebastian short-handed. Morsy getting
back. Oh, stop recovery. Rebound. They score. And it’s the local boy Jarvis. A short-handed
goal. And Carolina leads at 3 to2. Team the story so far in this second period has been puck
management and pucks being turned over. Whether sloppy plays or or Carolina forcing it over. This
is Aaho. He creates the play. A little backhand tuck to the five hole. Comry makes the first save,
but the Winnipeg Seth Jarvis skates in the second layer and makes sure of that one. Down to the goal
line now. Punk ran into him. Jarvis for Sebastian who has an assist in this game. Point pass. Eers
starts to walk across ice pass and slits the scores. Nikolai Eers with a splendid pass. It’s a
power play goal and the Carolina lead is two. Boy, that that penalty kill was doing a heck of a job
up till that point. They they were mistake free. Nothing through the middle. No seam plays were
given or allowed. Keep high ice and he rolls, but he rolls too loose on Eers. And
what that does is opens up that seam right there. That’s a huge seam and no chance
for Eric Comry. It’s been a difficult night, but you’re not hanging any of this
on number one. That’s for sure. You make one mistake and that’s what Miller
took his pass in the corner. There’s a good skater. He moved it back toward the line.
Jets maybe with a chance. Valardi’s open. Here he comes. Gabriel Valardi skating in.
Looking for Connor. It’s in. They score. With a second and it’s four to three. Well, the
Jets desperately needed something good to happen here. a twoon one with Runway and it’s a shot
a pass intended to the backside for Kyle Connor and just look at the the skate of Chapfield. He
opens up and that one intended for 81 ends up five holes unsuspectingly. There’s some puck
luck that the Jets needed and the Hurricanes kicking it up over skated it. Quick shot by Nita
Rider. It’s up in the air. They storm the bowl and it is frozen by busy with chaos all around.
Nope. Second effort right there from Josh Morsy as he goes down and the Jets push on. They do
rule no goal. They took a look at it as Kevin said. Referee Brandon. It’ll be Stan Kovven and
Taves. Logan Stanovven 22 years old. Taves beats him. He’s been stellar all year in the circle.
Good speed. Conor knocking ahead to himself. Connor Shley. Oh, what a setup and a big stop by
Busy who’s looking for it, but he’s got it. Man, is this an intent shift from Connor. Look at the
feet. It just like a spring being uncoiled all the way up the ice from Kyle Connor to win this
puck. He beats two guys to it and then has are used to that kind of pressure as a rare turnover
again. Valardi Shley tries a tow drag move and he pulls it off. Here he comes. Shley trying to
go outside in Shley got the back hand right on goal before Comry sprinted to the bench. Look at
that little tow drag and some help. Shley’s able to slurp that one up again. And oh, the puck just
doesn’t leave good players alone. And he finds a way to walk the dog, so to speak, all the way
to the net. One of many chances the Jets have had here in the last stall again in neutral ice.
Now Connor Shley’s going to the net. Mark Shley stops. Good save. Empty net jets. This one’s
wired to the top corner. Nice start on time from Valardi and he gets that into the hands of
Connor. Boom. Now thrown off the boards. Martin will try to swallow the rest of the clock.
He’ll backhand it down. It’ll miss the goal, but that’ll be enough for the Hurricanes
to hang on and win it four to three.
