🚨BREAKING: San Francisco 49ers Expected To Release WR Brandon Aiyuk | Stunning 49ers News

Some shocking San Francisco 49ers news on this Friday night. 15 months after Brandon Iayuk signed a 4-year $120 million contract worth $30 million per season, making him one of the highest paid wide receivers in the National Football League. It looks as though Aayuk and the Ners are headed toward a divorce. This is the San Francisco 49ers report. My name is Chase Senior. Let’s talk about it here. This is why you subscribe to the channel. My sister’s in town. We’re doing a Hier Rocks competition tomorrow. I was at the venue taking a look at the track. What to expect for tomorrow’s race. Got the breaking news. Had to race home. Talk some Niners here. Hit that sub button. We just surpassed 180,000 subscribers. And anytime there is breaking news, you know I have you covered. Mike Silver, Diana Rousini with this reporting here and let’s run through it all. This is a shocking and stunning story. Over the last couple of weeks, this has started to pick up some momentum because Brandon Aayuk is nowhere to be found. The Niners have not open up his practice window. And increasingly, we’ve had this question here on the show that we’ve discussed. Is Aayuk going to play this year? It looks as though he has played his last game with the 49ers. Disastrous situation for San Francisco considering the money that they gave him. And can you imagine becoming an allp pro for an organization that drafted you in the first round of the NFL draft where every year you progressed and you got better to the point where you became an allpro and that organization, that team shows faith in you. They show confidence in you. They make a massive investment in you. A four-year $120 million contract, $30 million per year, and then 15 months later, and this has been in the works for the last couple of weeks, you just quit on the team. It’s insane. And there’s really no other way to look at this other than that that this relationship is fractured. It has been for a long time. And for everybody who said clickbait, why do you keep talking about Aayuk and his reported bad relationship with the Ners? They’re fine. Things have not been fine for a very long time. And Brandon Aayuk has quit on the San Francisco 49ers. Looks as though he’s never going to play in a Niners uniform again. So here is what Mike Silver and Diana Rousini reported in The Athletic. Quote, “15 months ago, Brandon Aayuk and the Ners ended a contentious contract dispute by negotiating a 4-year, $120 million contract extension. It now appears that Aayuk and the Ners are headed for a stunning divorce. And remember how we had talked so much in the leadup to that contract and after it that Aayuk had been and was unhappy with the team. This is why I guess he was taking subtle jabs at the organization. This is why he had all the cryptic posts on social media. This is why he got undressed on the practice field after that verbal dispute with Kyle Shanahan after he got a bag when he wore the wrong practice uniform to practice. It’s not how leaders act. It’s not how leaders roll. Can you imagine Fred Warner ever doing that? I remember tweeting that out and Niner fans who won’t let anybody talk negatively about the team were saying clickbait. This guy’s a joke. Chase Senior’s a fraud. Well, look at where we are on this Friday, November 21st. And Aayuk is going to be playing somewhere else most likely in 2026. More from Rousini and Silver. Aayuk, who suffered a season ending injury last October, was placed on the physically unable to perform list in July, has yet to be activated. It’s now likely has played his last game with the franchise, according to numerous sources briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition of being anonymous to discuss a sensitive situation. Some in the organization are holding out hope that the relationship can be salvaged enough for him to return this season. However, multiple sources believe that a reconciliation is unlikely. And if you’re a diehard Niner fan and you always want the best for your team and you always want everybody to speak positively about the NerS even though they haven’t won a Super Bowl since the 1994 season, you should be pissed off by this because this is anti-team. This is selfish. This is all me and this is Brandon Aayou being a me and I guy. This isn’t about the team here and this is a bad look for him. And according to Matt Mayoko, NBC Sports Bay Area, he confirmed this report. Brennan Aayuk had his contract guarantees voided for 2026 because the Niners were annoyed that he wasn’t showing up to meetings. There was a lack of communication and he didn’t meet the terms of his contract. And here you go from Silver and Rousini. Iuk sources say has failed to attend meetings and declined to participate in other team activities in recent months. And the Niners have grown increasingly frustrated with the receivers’s lack of communication. The Niner sources say responded by voiding the guaranteed money in Iayuk’s contract for 2026, asserting that the absences amounted to a uh failure to fulfill his contractual obligations. Aayuk, according to multiple league sources, told the NFL Players Association representatives he did not want to fight the move via an official grievance that would clear the way for his expected release at season’s end. So, Aayuk has acted in a way where he doesn’t even want to fight this even though he’s going to lose some guaranteed money and it’s gotten to a point where it’s so bad that he’s willing to fork over some of that cash to play somewhere else next year. Aayuk did not respond to a text message seeking comment. His agent, Ryan Williams, declined a comment. A spokesman for the NerS declined to comment. Invoiding Iayuk’s future guarantees, the Niners can recover a significant portion of the contract. That’s big for the team. His 2026 option bonus would have paid out 24.9 plus million. He stood to earn $1.215 $215 million in base salary for 2026 as well as $100,000 workout bonuses and roster bonuses of $750,000 per game. We’re talking about a player who is a second team allp pro in 2023 and he would probably hit the market with big uncertainties about his health because he tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus in his right knee October 20th, 2024 against the Kansas City Chiefs, underwent that major reconstructive surgery. If Aayuk wants a huge new deal, what team is going to be willing to sign him to a sizable contract if he doesn’t play this year, prove that he’s healthy, prove that he’s still a legit player knowing the health concerns. It’s a huge risk. So, I just don’t understand the calculated move from Brandon Aayuk. It’s really not that calculated from Silver and Rousini. It was expected that IU could return for the latter part of the year, but he has remained on pup. His presence at the team’s training facility has become scarce, scarce. Sources say IU typically works out early in the morning, departs before other Niners players arrive. Numerous members of the organization, including some Niners players, have reached out to Aayuk in recent weeks in an unsuccessful attempt to bring him back into the fold. One source said Iayuk’s relationship with Kyle Shanahan and others tested in the aftermath of the team’s overtime defeat in the Chiefs against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl that year. Came off 1,342 receiving yards, second in the NFL in yards per reception, second highest graded wide receiver in football. He was a second team allp pro. Now he was unwilling to play at the $14.1 million deal for that fifthear option and so he held out. It was messy. Took to social media, voiced how displeased he was with the organization. The ners still paid him and he still remained unhappy. The ners could have traded him to the Patriots. Aayuk didn’t want to go there. They could have traded him to the Cleveland Browns. I didn’t want to go there. So, he pretty much just took the money and then just quit on the team a little bit later. And as we know, his relationship with the NerS during that hold out, it became strained. It became contentious. Kyle Shanahan was not happy with how Aayuk was acting. Shanahan and other big-time people in the organization frustrated by AU changing his mind on contract terms during that contract negotiation and what potential trade destinations were acceptable. The Niners were willing to move him. He didn’t have a no trade clause, but he didn’t want to go to those teams and wasn’t going to sign a contract with those teams. This is just insane. And then after he signed that deal, when you think about it, he was out of shape. He was disinterested, had a bad attitude, had bad body language as well, and only caught 13 passes for 167 yards, no touchdowns in the first four games. And then there was that sideline spat or they were on the field technically when Aayuk wasn’t in the right practice gear. Toss his gloves and his cleats, removed his shorts on the practice field, tried to kick him off his leg and then replace him with the required black ones. So it looks like the Niners are going to release him. I guess they could try to trade him, but again, what’s his trade value? If Brandon Aayuk doesn’t play this year, how much is he netting back given what his contract is? And so the Niners really have no leverage here. If a team really wants BA, they could trade for him, but they have to give up draft capital and they have to give him a contract. But other teams across the NFL know that the Niners have no leverage and they’ll just wait for the Niners to release him and then they can sign him to a much cheaper contract with incentives where he can prove that he can stay healthy. And if he puts up numbers and stays healthy, then he can meet some of those contractual numbers. Now, today’s San Francisco 49ers report brought to you by Prize Picks. It’s good to be right now. If we assume that Aayuk gets released and the voided guarantees go through, the NerS will gain 25 to$26 million in cap space for next year. That’s big for this organization. The $27 million in guaranteed money for IUK in 2026 would then pretty much go away and the NerS would be free of that money which would be huge. But the Brandon Aayuk Ners era is officially over and they’re going to release him by seasons end. Crazy story, shocking story, a stunning story. And Aayuk will be playing elsewhere in 2026. 1. I was lucky enough to be at the last superbowl the 49ers ever won.. I will have to say iv seen a lot of WR come and go… other than Terrell Owens he’s the best drafted WR since then

  2. Something def wrong to throw his career away like that. Do you think any other top NFL team wants him on their roster? With that poisonous attitude? No way. He will end up like Kapernick if he isnt careful

  3. They’re so good free agents that we can sign with that money; as we could use a vet/legit LG or C; and adding an EDGE to the mix, maybe Joey Bosa?

Call me insane, but Bosa can be had for 12M, and we can sign a stud IOL for about 15M. The insane part would be to sign David Njoku, TE from the Browns. That way we solve the legit second TE and receiver hole left by BA. Resign Bourne and JJ and be done in FA.

Then we can use draft picks on OL, especially OT (future Trent replacement) and Center, and add another EDGE and DT with our first four picks.

Then we can use the remainder on LB, DB, OL, RB, WR and DL.

  4. a John Lynch and front office fuk up. so what else is new? congratulations Lynch now Boss is the only first round draft pick that is here during your regime. and my dead grandmother could have drafted Bosa

  5. That entire contract should be voided by the NFL you can’t just quit on a team and reap the benefits of a contract without any consequences

  6. It’s insane. As you said they made him one of best paid WR in the league. After that he played an insanely bad season last year and now is doing this? What is that? Good riddance bro and good luck finding a new team that will tolerate such a behavior. But I will say it would be interesting to know his perspective and his reasons why he started acting that way…
