  1. A 32-year-old corner outfielder who has been a below-average hitter for two years and only had one really good year with the bat?

If he’s cheap, sure, but he’s not likely to be especially useful. Probably could have just kept Yastrzemski to get the same production.

  2. He’s worth looking into for his power alone

I don’t expect him to repeat his 2023 performance but maybe he can provide something useful

  3. I don’t know if this is the move but I am of the mindset that bench bats really need to be like Dom Smith level of useful for this team to be successful

  4. Zero plate discipline. For all you WAR guys he was nearly a 3 win player though and has big pop

  5. Farhan would have been all over that guy so we could have a 4th or 5th slugger with an OPS in the .600s.

    With Buster there’s no chance

  6. Would actually love to kick the tires on him. He’s a very good corner outfielder, with an incredibly strong arm. Yeah he won’t hit for shit or walk, but he’ll occasionally smack a homer 450 feet (all 19 of his homers last season would have gone out in Oracle FWIW). But he had a DRS of 16, which ties him for 3rd for all qualified outfielders last year. He’s also an above average base runner. Having him as a defensive replacement/bench option would be great, and he’s at least doing enough defensively to be startable as an end of lineup type guy who offers some power (his exit velo is excellent, everything else is nasty lmao).
