You can kiss the playoff hopes goodbye, but if you win this game, moves to 3 and 0 on the year in the NFC North, get back to 500 with the NFC still being wide open, bikes might have a good chance, you know, still win the division because there is an opportunity today where if the Packers lose to the Giants, unlikely, but the Lions lose to the Eagles and the Vikings beat the Bears. All four NFC North teams will be a game apart. So, it starts with a win today. And if you guys want the Vikes to beat the Bears, hit me with those skulls down below in the comments section. Um, I think the Vikings are going to handle the Bears today. I’m pretty confident in a win. I think this could be like 3420 in favor of the Vikings. But this is just you’re at home, you’re wearing the purple on purple. It’s going to be great. Um, I think this is going to be very similar to the Falcons game last year where uh, if you guys remember, I mean, Jefferson and Addison combined for five touchdowns, both them going for over 150 yards. It was one of the best wide receiver duo games I’ve ever seen in my life. So, hopefully they can replicate that today. Uh, W. Meer saying he had a nasty one-hander in warm-ups. He uh, he had a look in his eyes walking into the stadium today. Even at warm-ups, he looked ready to rock and roll. So, hopefully 18 has a good game. Bounces back from probably his uh, probably his worst game of his NFL career last week against the Ravens. So, uh, we’ll see. Same with Brian Flores because you know you lose this game, you move to four and six, season’s over. Um you can just call it like it is. But if you move to five and five, you’re three and0 in the NFC North. You got two more home games in the division. Like you will still have a chance to play for the NFC North title. You got back-to-back home games against the Packers and Lions to finish the year. Still got to go to Lambo. But if you could start off 3-0, JJ McCarthy 3 and 0 in the division. Um it it would be absolutely huge. Reed Southern saying, “Do you feel good about this game?” I do feel good about this game. Um I was a little nervous. Um as the week went on, but I just think this Vikings team is going to show up. Um I think I think they’re going to show up today. This would be a typical Viking spot to kind of bounce back after embarrassing themselves at home last week. I mean, eight fall starts at home. that can’t happen. Uh Kevin Okcono said JJ McCarthy had his best week of practice that he’s ever seen. Now, is that the coach hyping up the quarterback or is that truth? Hopefully, it’s truth, but I think they’re gonna I think they’re going to have a good game today. Jay Love saying looking forward to a W today. Me, too. Me, too. Um yeah, we’ll see, man. I just think uh it’s it’s really just going to come down today for the Vikings. Um stopping the Bears run game. Bears are one of the best rushing offenses in the league. Fourth in the league or third in the league in uh or second in the league, take that back, in rush yards per game. But they like to run the ball a whole lot. Yards per carry. They’re averaging five yards per clip this season, which is third in the National Football League. They’re running the ball a lot, almost 30 carries a night. Um they’re also finding the end zone, 1.2 times per game on the ground. So, they’re going to try to get downhill and you know, that’s the formula to beating this Brian Flores defense. You set up the run game, you have your quarterback, get in rhythm early, and uh you know, we’ll see if the Vikings can uh shut down this Bears rushing attack, which is very dynamic. Um Kyle Manungai, DeAndre Swift, they’re not like the Derrick Henry’s. They’re not the you know, those elite level guys, but uh they are they are two solid running backs. Yeah, Harrison Smith pick six today would go crazy in his uh 200th career game. But, you know, here’s something that’s gonna be huge for the Vikings defense is uh just bring Kale Williams to the ground. Um, I think Kale Williams now, does he struggle in certain aspects of being the quarterback where it’s just like, you know, getting the ball out on time, on target, still has some accuracy issues, especially when you keep him in the pocket. But he still has this backyard football ability where he is just tough to bring down. This is the most missed tackles forced by a quarterback this season per PFF. Kale Williams, 26 missed tackles. Who’s in second in the National Football League is Josh Allen. So clearly that’s a superstar trait playing backyard football getting outside of the pocket. So that’s going to be huge for this defense today and especially when you have like somebody like you know Dallas Turner who hasn’t played a lot and when he’s played he hasn’t played good. A lot of eyes are going to be on DT today because he’s probably going to play 90% of snaps. Like when you lose Jonathan Gennard and I think this is specific with the Vikings defense because Gernard’s an every down guy. him and Cashman and Van Genko and Byron Murphy and even Harrison Smith now and Josh Patelis are really only every down guys on this defense. So, it’s just kind of finding somebody to fill in those snaps. So, Dallas Turner, he’s going to be playing a whole lot. So, hopefully he can uh you know get it done here. Those are two worst defenses in the league. I think Brian Flores would do a good job today. Oh, Brady, then I thought you were a Cubs fan, man. My bad. Pat, what are your predictions on how JJ plays? I think he’s going to have his best game of his NFL career. He should. This is his easiest contest of his NFL career. Think about it. He was going against the Ravens, the Lions on the road, the Falcons have a good pass defense, and then week one was his first ever career start um taking on the Chicago Bears. So, having the Bears at home should be the easiest matchup of his NFL career so far. I’m going to kill this guy. I’m going to kill him. I’m going to kill him. Dude, you got to You’re going to give Dylan a heart attack and you’re going to have to step in here and produce, Jeremy. That was ridiculous on Thursday night. I should have brought that up to you yesterday. That was That was insane. You scaring the crap out of us on Thursday. That was a joke. I almost had piss running down my leg. I was so scared. Um I mean Byron Murphy Byron Murphy struggled this year. he has not lived up to that contract uh whatsoever. Um but you know what everybody, the beautiful part about the NFL season and why this is the best reality TV show ever is because you you get a new episode that comes out every week. And your thoughts on your favorite football team, whoever it may be, can change every single week. I think there’s a chance the Vikings put belt to ass on the Bears today where it’s 38-10. It’s 42-10. But also, I think the Bears could put belt the ass on the Vikings. Like this game today, if you told me the Vikings win tight, the Bears win tight, anybody blows each other out, that is all on the table today. These Vikings Bears games are weird, but I will say Vikings are eight- one against Chicago over their n last nine games. Kevin Okonnell six- one against the Bears. It’s the most wins he has against any team in the NFL being the head coach of the Vikings. Um yeah, like Lynn’s saying in the chat, any given Sunday, Lynn, anything can happen. Even your guy Harrison Smith in his 200th career game, maybe he gets a little pick six today, Lynn. And I’ll uh Lyn, if that happens, Harrison Smith gets a pick six today. Um, one thing that’s also concerning about Kevin Okano’s play calling, the Vikings in terms of just a run blocking offensive line this year, one of the better ones in the National Football League. Their run block win rate is fourth in the entire NFL. Run the damn football. Like, it’s uh it’s a it’s that clip from the blind side. Like, enough with the trick plays, Bert. Run the damn ball. I wouldn’t be saying the KOC because guys, this can’t happen. Like this is like trying to go on a run in the postseason of the MLB without a bullpen. It’s not going to work. Like maybe that’s a bad example with the Dodgers just winning it, but they still have guys like Sasaki and all them coming out of the pen. You cannot win a championship in the NFL without a running game. I don’t care how good you are passing the football. Like even the Rams team when they had Cooper Cup going for 2100 yards in that single season plus the playoffs, um they still were able to run the ball. Like let’s get the run game going today. But you know, Kevin Okonnell, like it’s like in that clip from Spider-Man. Um, it’s like the Green Goblin Ga mask. It’s just like calling over his right shoulder. Um if they’re not able to keep Caleb in the pocket, he’s able to make stuff happen. Like it could it could get seriously ugly. Um but hopefully that’s not the case. Um lane integrity is going to be huge. Just bringing them down is going to be big. So hopefully they can uh hopefully they can do just that as Debo all the way up to the 33 yard line here. I just uh that’s the one thing I’m a little nervous about um is the Bears are able to just take the crowd out of it. They get up early. They’ve established a run early and often. And uh I don’t know. I I I still think today kind of similar to last week like JJ’s going to have to go win this one. And that’s just reality of being a quarterback in the NFL. Um, you’re going to have to go win a lot of games and he’s going to have to go toe-to-toe with Ko Williams, but JJ’s got an easier test compared to KO. Um, he’s not going against Flores. He’s going against Dennis Allen and that poor Bears defense. So, uh, we’ll see. We’ll see. He’s done it before. Yeah, he looked great in that fourth quarter. Um, but this is also one, uh, matchup to watch. KOC verse himself. Um, what do I mean by that? Short yardage situations. Can he stay committed to the run? Your defense has been holding it their own for the most part. You can’t let Caleb get in rhythm, though. [Music] One of the most heartbreaking losses in Vikings franchise history just came today at US Bank Stadium as they lost a game-winning field goal to the Chicago Bears and it resulted in a 19-7 win for Chicago and I am just completely distraught right now. Um that game was horrible. Uh JJ McCarthy was horrible for pretty much every single drive until that last one and then the Vikings somehow battle back from 16 to three down in the fourth quarter. You were able to somehow take the lead 17 to 16 and then the special teams unit which has been amazing all all day. They give up a 50 plus yard return, set the Bears up at the Vikings 40 line and pretty much just hands them a game-winning field goal opportunity. And this game I mean I’m so at a loss for words right now. We’re giving our reaction about 15 minutes after. Just just completely flabbergasted. You know, it is just one of those seasons for this Vikings franchise. And this isn’t a Kevin Oonnell thing. This isn’t, you know, first off, it’s not a JJ thing. It’s not a KOC thing. It wasn’t a Zimmer thing. It wasn’t a Leslie Frasier thing. Like, this team just finds ways to lose games that you shouldn’t find a way to lose. I mean, you were terrible throughout this whole game. You have an amazing fourth quarter. defense kept you in this one and then you give up a game-winning field goal off an unbelievable just botch of special teams play on that kick return and it just sucks because the Bears just came into your building. They ended your season. They get to seven wins. Bikes are four and six. You just won 14 games a year ago and now this team is right back to where they always are, purgatory, where they are never good enough to get a top five pick. They’re never or never bad enough to get a top five pick. They’re never good enough to be a Super Bowl contender. And it is just the most Viking season of all time. The most Viking season. And just this game was the most perfect way to end a historically Vikings s season. So, we’ll talk about JJ McCarthy here. But, I do want to say thank you guys so much. We crossed over 67,000 subs. So, shout out to all of you guys. But, uh, you guys are uh, you know, keeping me motivated here, but that was uh, man, that was bad. Uh, this this this one stings. Uh, it is. I mean, it’s going to be tough to watch football um, for the rest of the day. And, uh, you know, that one just hurts. But, I do want to take a second. Thank you guys so much. Hit 67K. So, shout out to all of you guys. Um, JJ McCarthy. Um, listen, I put out a video earlier this week. We need to be patient with him and I stand by that. Um, listen, he was he was he was bad all day today. I mean, 16 of 32, 150 yards, had two picks in the first half. Um, one of the interceptions, he kind of got hit low. Kevin Byron made a good play on the ball. And then Deshawn Wright pick, you sometimes just need to tip your cap. That was a hell of a play. Um, but he was bad. Um, he was he was he was really bad. And I wanted to get up on here and talk about JJ and just the stones and the balls he had to lead another game-winning touchdown drive against the Bears where he was horrible throughout the entire game, but the Vikings special teams and the defense let him down. Um, they kept him in the game the whole time and then when finally JJ showed up, the other side didn’t end up playing well and that’s why you lost. It was just a horrible loss. I I am still at a loss for words right now and JJ it’s it is going to take some time and and it’s going to take a lot longer than you know I originally thought. I still think this kid’s got all types of potential. I think clearly we’re seeing in the biggest moments he still plays his best football. Um but for three and a half quarters, for majority of the game, he was absolutely horrible. And we’re just going to have to go through these groin pains and it results in a loss season for the Vikings where they have spent $350 million on this roster for this specific season and you’re four and six and you have some crushing losses. Like the win in Detroit, that was amazing. But then you completely combusted last week against Baltimore and then today you beat yourself again. Like you were again terrible for most of this game and the drops. TJ Hawinson late in that game. Jefferson over the middle. Addison had bad drops. Aaron Jones had a drop. It was like finally when JJ threw a good ball, the receivers couldn’t catch and then the receivers getting open, JJ couldn’t find them. It was just again just a typical Vikings game. Like that’s the best way I could say it. The Vikings lost in the most Vikings way possible. And I don’t know how this team stays locked in. I don’t know how this team doesn’t quit, but uh you know, your playoff hopes are done. Like you’re four and six. You needed, you know, you’re going to have to go 10 and seven to make the playoffs in the NFC. You’re not going 10 and seven. You’re in Seattle. You’re in Green Bay. You still have the Lions and the Packers at home. Yeah, I mean just just terrible, man. I’m I’m truly sick right now. And listen, I wish I could say I’m shocked. Um that was just bad. That was just bad. Um like I want to I want to get up on here and make the whole postgame show about JJ and the nuts he showed the you know bounce back and why that’s why Vikings fans should be positive um leaving this one. But you wasted like a historically great game by the defense. You were stopping the run. You had KO bottled up. I mean, Kale Williams was I mean, he was terrible today. He was 16 of 32 for 193 yards. You kept him in the pocket. You’re able to sack him a couple times. You had great performances on defense, but you still just didn’t do enough to win this game. And we’ll talk about the defense here in a second, but just be patient with JJ. Um, it’s going to be a long road clearly. And this again, this game is just, you know, Vikings just have these years where they just find ways to lose games. And like I I truly believe this. The Vikings aren’t the worst franchise in the NFL. They are the most cursed franchise. Um this this this organization has the fourth highest winning percentage of all time out of all NFL teams. They don’t have a Super Bowl. I think under Kevin Oonnell, they have a top five winning percentage in the league. No playoff wins. And just yet again, this team, they just combust. They just combust over and over again. Um, it’s just bad. So, honestly, guys, is the Viking season over? I mean, I think it is. Um, there’s no other way around it. I mean, you lose this one to the Bears, I mean, it’s it’s done. Um, so you guys let me know. Is the Viking season over? Give me a Y for yes. give me an end for no. Um I in terms of you making the playoffs, it’s 100% over, but you know, you still got a lot to look forward to and that’s just developing JJ over these next what, seven games. Um yeah, I think the playoff hopes are done. I mean, you had a chance to get back to 500 and uh you just lose a heartbreaker, man. You just lose a heartbreaker. Um just just disappointed, distraught. Um, you got the same amount of wins as the Dolphins. You got four wins. You’re four and six. You’re I mean, you’re not a good football team this year. Drops again. More penalties today. Um, I thought guys like Jaylen Redmond had another great outing. Andrew Van Ginkle all over the football field. Um, you’re able to contain Caleb. Um, I thought Caleb was just off target a lot today. You were kind of able to limit his Superman ability of the escape ability. I mean, we saw it in certain spots, but still able to get home. Um, but again like it came down to, you know, a special teams gaff and that’s just that’s just so it’s just bad, man. It’s just bad. Um, I’m at a loss for words right now, everybody. I I actually don’t have much to say. Um, it’s just terrible. That is just terrible. Like this team, you were 14 and three and you blow it like you blow it. you had a terrible off season and now in a game like guys the Bears defense sucks. They’re they they are one of the worst defenses in the league. Yes, they get a lot of takeaways. The Vikings offense couldn’t do anything today. I mean for majority of that game they were terrible. Um absolutely terrible. And I mean these are probably season highs for the Bears. You you only scored 17 points at home, went on a late touchdown drive. You only had 265 yards of offense. JJ McCarthy was bad. The receivers were bad. KOC tried to stay committed to the run and I honestly felt like Kevin Okonnell play calling wise had a good game. Again, you just miss too many easy ones. Um that’s why you were in that position. Like it should never came down to it. And uh it’s just bad, man. Like you you got to chalk this up to I already know. Like I mean yes JJ gets a lot of the blame. the offense gets a lot of the blame, the receivers get a lot of the blame. Um it’s just a it’s just a Vikings organizational loss. Like that’s what it really felt like. And uh clearly JJ is not ready um to lead a team to the playoffs and uh they thought he was, but uh clearly he’s not. It’s going to take some time. like the Vikings are going to have to now nail a lot of draft picks because you’re not going to have any money to spend in free agency it just is what it is and uh just terrible just terrible so we appreciate you guys tuning in I’ll have another video coming out later tonight give you guys better thoughts there um season comes down the JJ developing Um, just is what it is. Maybe JJ McCarthy is not the quarterback y’all thought he was. It was a close game, but might as well kiss the playoffs bye-bye. Who the thought seeing the Bears at 7-3 would be a nightmare fuel(as of the lions and packers wasn’t enough when it comes to having WINNING records). Even though they’re still a month of football left(iirc) There’s no reason to have faith in them anymore, especially since we now saw the real McCarthy(I mean, despite beating the lions, but they ain’t about the lions). I wish y’all never got rid of Sam Darnold, as it pains me to say. I mean, just look at Sam Darnold for now he’s a superstar in Seattle.

Maybe if we change to a correct historical logo theme the football Gods will smile on the Vikes Andy us fans. I have loved the horn logo for years ,but if it’s not historically correct then it MUST be changed.

As the season goes on JJ will get better. Bad games and mistakes are apart of the learning process as a young Quarterback. Just because other Quarterbacks have great rookie seasons doesn’t mean that has to be his journey. He is getting out all of the negatives early on. In all of the games he’s started in he showed good mental toughness and leadership. It’s not a lot of quarterbacks in the NFL that possess those traits. The accuracy and decision making will improve with reps and time.
