Now the season is completely over, whats your thoughts?

No brainer. Keep trading down and collecting picks.
Pointless conversation with 6 games left in the season.
Moving down 1 spot, getting draft capital and still getting the guy you would have taken at 2 seems like a no brainer
Knowing this team we’ll end up like pick 7ish but if we’re at 2 we should be trading back multiple times
I want the number 1 overall pick then we flip it for 2 1st rounders and 2 second rounders like the bears did with the panthers.
Draft a kicker!!!
I’ll never argue against a good trade down, but I feel like mocks at this point are tough since we only have the #2 spot due to not having had our bye week yet. With our SOS, we’d have lose out and get some help to wind up #2. Plus games against the Commanders, Vikings, and Raiders left on the schedule and Kafka doing everything he can to audition for a HC role, I think we’re gonna wind up in the 5-10 range most likely.
I’m assuming Moore goes back to school but I don’t see how the Giants don’t trade down if Mendoza or Simpson are still available for QB-needy teams
Cleveland drafting another quarterback after taking 2 last year is crazy and completely on brand.
This sounds fine but the Giants obviously do not need a QB. Even the Browns may not be stupid enough to make this trade. Another team higher up might actually trade up to do it. A good GM might be able to manufacture interest to get someone to, but it’s still moot until we see our final position. We’ve been bad enough to blow our draft position the last few years and I think that continues

Might be able to get more for it, but if not, this makes sense.
Also on par the Browns to draft another QB.
I’d love to see this with another flip back no later than the early teens, but this is real life.
Currently a large gap between R2-R4 (34-102 as currently projected. A gap of 70 picks still remains and this team has so many holes/needs depth.
That all said however, Schoen has done so in the past with a trade back twice in 2022 R2: 36 > 38 & 146 then 38 > 43 & 114
NJY would select Breece Hall @ 36
ATL would select Arnold Ebiketie @ 38
NYG would select Wan’Dale Robinson @ 43, Dane Belton @ 114, & Micah McFadden @ 146
(Full transparency I feel Schoen should be out of a job and not be ‘leading this coaching search’)
Giants are going to win a couple and have a worse pick then the Browns
Why would this make sense for the Browns. They’re flipping draft spots with us so they can take a QB, when it flat out says in the analysis that the Giants don’t need a QB. So if we aren’t going to take one, why would the Browns need to get ahead of us?
So the Browns flip with the Giants so they can draft a QB, even though they know the Giants won’t draft a QB that high?
Can someone make that make sense?
Truly the ONLY argument would be so that someone else doesn’t trade with the Giants to get that spot. But realistically with the standings, the only team that would trade into that spot would be the Jets, and they’d have a better offer considering they have 2 firsts and 2 seconds in 2026. Or could offer one of their 3 first round, or multiple 2nd round picks in 2027.
>Now the season is completely over, whats your thoughts?
Plenty of time to pick up an unneeded win or two to drop to the lower half of the top 10.
As much as we need another WR, they should take the ohio st safety. The secondary is so bad. Can absolutely use another lineman in rd2
Why would the browns care to move up one spot in a draft with no QB talent when they know the giants aren’t drafting a QB anyway? Unless there’s a serious threat of someone trading up to jump the Browns seems very unlikely
They would probably get more in draft capital even if it just one spot. The browns need to contend with other teams wanting the pick.
I’d rather be pick 5-6 and get an extra 1st round pick. Than be 3rs with two thirds.
drafting oregon qb’s in back to back years seems ridiculous
A trade back this year would be ideal for adding talent. Let’s keep it high as we can to lure QB needy teams up!
MORE PiCKs
Well, the season isn’t “completely over” yet because the draft positioning could change a lot over the last 7 games.
These kind of trades happen like every draft so its worth discussing. New regimes looking to make their stamp with a new QB, what have you. QBs getting drafted ahead of better players is a tale as old as time. We should take advantage of that if we are in the position to do so. Only thing is goofy Schoen doesn’t seem to be the one to pull this off. Trading up for a bust he can do in his sleep
It doesnt seem like this draft has a clear 1.01 prospect that’s non qb. I’ve seen guys like Reese, downs, Tate, Tyson and others go anywhere from 1.01 to 1.15.
I’m all for trading down to get more picks, and I’d do a second trade after this one if we end up here
no, I wouldn’t take it
Id make the teams sweat it out. I would ask for sun, the moon, and the stars from each team. Knowing I have the Browns deal in the back pocket.
Trade down to 3rd. get the extra two 3s or more. save a few dollars on the cap by signing the 3rd overall Instead second..
When on the clock with the third. Wait for those other QB hungry teams to call back. They know what your ask was for the 2nd pick. which was astronomical…. The bars been set…. Someone will offer that second trade down.
Nkw you’ve really loaded up on picks. Saved mkre in the slot signing.
Id trade down again if someone is willing to move up. To low teens.
Now. you’ve got all these picks. I’d load up in D, and OL, 2nd WR. Someone offers you next years 1 for your 2, or next years 2nd for your 3rd. you’ve got so many picks, jump on it. This team needs so much more help then one stud can provide Massive holes at CB, S and LB, OL and WR2 That one player can’t fill them all.
Give me Caleb Downs, Tate/Tyson, or a tackle and I’ll be happy. Also wouldn’t mind Reese but I have a feeling he may go no 1
