Lamar Jackson: Mark Andrews Is Always There When You Need Him | Baltimore Ravens

So, you’ve had some pretty good touchdown runs in your career. Uh, how would you describe uh Mark Andrews uh one on that one? That was crazy. I was celebrating the whole time, you know. Um we practiced it early on in the week and uh it was looking pretty good, but we just needed a couple yards. But for him to go for a touchdown, that was amazing. And for him to have an alltime career, what it was, the receptions or receiving yards? That’s crazy. Shout out to Mark. What’s kind of going through your head as you watch him turn the corner on that play? Go. That’s all I’m saying in my mind. Go, go, go, go, go. Like he turned on the judge, too. I guess he looked at that 49 like, “No way.” Shout out to Martin. You, you and Mark came in together. You guys have, you know, won a lot of games. You guys are kind of have been connected throughout your careers. Just can you put into perspective? He gets a record, comes up with a big play today. just how how valuable he has been over the course of his career. Extremely valuable, man. Uh he’s always there, you know. He always there when we need him and he just showed that tonight, man. He’s just reliable. Lamar, you were one of the most vocal defending him when people were still caught up in the Buffalo game. How proud are you of how he’s handled this and to come through in a game like this? I mean, he’s a grown man, you know. I know he going to hold his own, you know, um just as much as people beat him up. I feel like he beat himself up, you know, so why kick somebody when they down, you know? That’s my brother at the end of the day, so I’m always going to have his back. Lamar, was there a theme or anything to those four Miles Garrett sacks? I mean, you know, he was obviously winning, but some of them looked like you were kind of double clutching or looking for space in the pocket. I mean, this type of defense going to create chaos. You know, um, they want to hit hit receiver, knock them off their routes and stuff like that. And they zone coverage with a guy like Miles Garrett pressuring. So you don’t want to just throw it up and cause a turnover even though we had two one tip pass, one off a linement helmet, you know, but we don’t want to just turn the ball over. So you going to try to go to a checkdown if anything, but he just kept tracing, you know, so that’s why we’re getting sacks. Were you looking for Dehop on the throwback on that that red zone sack? Like you ran to the right and looked like you were Dehop’s breaking to the the left corner. I always trying to see if someone, you know, popped open. Yeah. What does it say about this team that you can win a grinded out game like this on the road, really good defense? What does it say about this team? Uh man, we can fight through adversity, you know, and like at the same time, this is division of game, so we knew what type of game it’ll be. You know, that’s not with the turnovers and stuff like that, but we knew it was going to be a dog fight. Lamar, when you guys turn, they Wiggins had the interception, next play was a turnover. Was it tough to avoid frustration there and believe that if you just kept getting the ball back, you were going to break through? Yeah, you just got to keep a clear mind, you know, but um I I wouldn’t say frustration, but kind of ticked off because our defense just put us in a great spot and then for us to turn the ball back over us, we can’t have that, you know. And shout out to defense cuz they played a great game. I mean, most of these receiving yards that Mark has gained usually has come from you, your passes. It seemed you guys had a connection pretty early on. How would you describe that chemistry between you and Mark? I don’t know. I can’t call it. you know, we just I said that’s way back years ago like street ball, you know, if it’s not there, you know, you make something happen. You know, you see something in the defense, uh, we just connect. When you guys were, you know, starting one and five, how much confidence was there in the room that you guys could, you know, within about a month of time, once or time, you would get back to to five and five and, you know, like John Harbaugh said, kind of have your guys’ head back above water. We wasn’t really worried about uh trying to be five and five. We were trying to be two and five at the time, you know, then three and five. Like we just take it one game at a time cuz obviously we was one and five and you know, we’re not used to starting slow at all. So just had to worry about what was in front of us just like we did tonight. Okay. Next one.

  1. Everything ain't what it seems ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘€ like the difference between treasure and junk. We RAVENS Fans don't like these hair brained๐Ÿ˜ฎ…hold your breath๐Ÿ˜‘…roller-coaster…wait-n-see๐Ÿ˜ฅ moments! ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’œ
๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚Hang on yall! The ride ain't over yet ๐ŸŽข๐Ÿšจ

  2. Many Ravens fans was made at the fact that Mark left Lamar and not take accountability for the lost against the Bills last year in the playoffs. Had he stepped up as the team captain and took accountability then the fans would not have been so mad, but the Ravens have built a culture to blame Lamar for everything over the years, and it showed when Mark did not show up for himself nor the team. If we get to the playoffs, we will see if anything has changed. We know Harbaugh NEVER takes accountability NEVER.

  3. Lamar has to be estatic. He played like crap and they still won. That normally doesnt happen. Maybe this will ease his mind a bit come playoff time. Knowing he doesnt need to put that cape on.

  4. This guy is blessed beyond measure lol. I can't imagine being that giddy if I was another sack or two away from being put on IR behind this atrocious oline.

  5. Our O line was improving until Joe D'Alessandris died. Since then, it has regressed. Of the 32 starting left tackles, Ronnie Stanley rates somewhere in the middle. Even Linderbaum is not playing as well and he is on the small side for a center. The other three just have not improved, although it is really Vorhees first full season. Is Warhop teaching them different techniques than Joe D???
