The Falcons season from hell just got a little bit more hellish. We found out that Falcons rookie nickel defensive back Billy Bowman suffered an Achilles injury on a Friday walkthrough ahead of the team’s week 12 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. He’s already been declared out for that game. And Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said it’s not looking good when describing Bowman’s injury. So, we’re fearing the worst. And this only comes on the heels of the season ending injury to quarterback Michael Penn. Bowman was one of four rookie defenders that was making positive contributions to the Falcons defensive turnaround this year and now without Pennix. That young developing core of defenders was really the only reason to tune into the three and seven Falcons this year. And this potential Achilles tear is not only going to put Bowman down for 2025, but it also is going to negatively impact his ability to bounce back strong in 2026.
