🚨STEPHEN A. SMITH CALLS DRAKE MAYE A LIAR!!

[Music] Well, I didn’t want to talk about this because literally posted I want to say a day before if I decided to post this before or after about Cam Newton’s comments. Well, on Thursday, they spoke about Drake May’s clapback and Stephen A. Smith had words to say about Drake May and it just flat out pissed me off. So, we’re going to talk about it on the channel. I’m probably going to have a big gigantic rant about the biggest loser at ESPN and the reason why it’s completely failing. Welcome into Patriots Today by Chat Sports. By the way, I am your host Brett Alber. So, let’s just get to Stephen A’s comments, shall we? He called Drake May a liar. He said Drake May is a liar. First take is First Take is the number one show in the morning. Don’t tell me you an athlete and don’t know that. Don’t tell me that you’re an athlete and you don’t know that Cam Non is on this show. You lying. Yeah, whatever, man. Whatever. So, this is why you subscribe to the channel because we’re talking everything Patriots all the time. Patriots today not spewing a whole bunch of BS and First Take, well, they’re spewing out excuse my language, nonstop all the time. And it’s it’s pretty much an unwatchable show at this point. and it makes content like this for guys like me to create videos of just why are you talking about this? So, let’s talk about why the hell did Stephen A. Smith call Drake May a liar? Well, it starts off, if you missed out on the video that I posted, it was about Cam Newton’s comments. And Cam Newton has just been talking non-stop about the Patriots saying that, hey, Drake May is not a top five uh deep passer in the NFL. They’re not good. They’re frauds. And then he called them fool’s gold. And this is the exact quote from Cam Newton. It has fool’s gold written all over them. The thing that I have a problem with is if you keep playing sorry scrubs, then you’re going to have this falsetto of a mentality going into the playoffs. And it has one and done written all over it. Well, Drake May, they asked him about it throughout the week. Well, and for one, he’s just he’s just flat out wrong. He is just flat out wrong because the Patriots beat a top defense in the Browns. They beat a top defense in the Falcons. They beat the Buffalo Bills. They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So, what that’s just that’s just flatout wrong. And then he kept going about it and just kept talking about it. And he says, “I have more concerns with the Patriots playing five or six teams that have losing records than going into a situation where the competition exceeds that you may have been used to.” That’s the biggest question I have for Drake May. And if you want to talk about everything and I can explain to you why he’s completely wrong, you can go watch the literal last video that I posted on this channel. But of course, Drake May took the high road because he is a classy individual and he’s not going to be that kind of trash talker in any way, shape, or form. So this is what he said when he was asked about Cam Newton’s comments, and he said, “Well, I don’t know what show he’s on. I think they get paid to make remarks and make certain comments. So, I just worry about what people in our organization think and worry about what we think and what my teammates think. People are going to have different opinions. I’m just going out there on Sundays and worrying about ourselves. And that’s exactly what you want to hear. You want to hear no distractions going into your locker room. No distractions that you’re going to think, “Oh, what are other people saying?” Well, Stephen A didn’t think kindly to Drake May’s comment that he said, “I don’t even know what show he’s on.” So out of all of that, Stephen A. Smith ended up calling Drake May a liar. And that is just like I mean why why would he go out and do that? There is no need for him to say Drake May is a liar because it doesn’t do anything for you. It doesn’t make you look like the bigger person. It doesn’t make you look like oh Drake May’s in the wrong here. It it ju it just it’s so flat out stupid to me. And thank God that Ryan Clark actually speaking good for once said, “No, Stephen A, you can’t talk about that. That that is just no, you’re not going to call him a liar.” He was backing up Drake May. But like Stephen A, where do you get off, dude? Calling someone a liar on national television is just the biggest bunch of that I have ever heard. It seems like every single week over and over and over ESPN is just Why do you think they took you off of NBA Countdown for a reason? Because you don’t know what you’re talking about. And then he was like, “Of course you’re going to know that Drake May would know that we are the number one ESPN show on television.” But um when would he have time to watch the show? I don’t have time to watch the show. I’m g giving here making content for you Patriots fans out here. So I don’t watch first take. But then Drake May, he’s going out there preparing for the Cincinnati Bengals, preparing each and every week watching film. When would he have time to watch it? Do you really think that he’s going to sit down on his TV? Oh, I wonder what’s happening on first take right now while he’s at the facility. No. No, I don’t. I don’t think he is anytime. I don’t think he watches any TV show because he’s locked in on the season and he’s locked in on everything that’s going around with the Patriots. Not ESPN, not Fox, not whatever. This just shows that Stephen A. Smith’s ego is absolutely off the charts that he thinks that every single person on the world on the planet is watching First Take and that’s just that’s just not the case. And it shows just how bad the show is falling. And then Cam Newton went and doubled down his comments on their fool’s gold and he’s just going to be proven wrong. He’s of course going to be proven wrong. And it just gets annoying and annoying and annoying because I have to sit here and listen to those guys have a national platform and talk about my quarterback and just he’s a liar. Give me a break. Give me a freaking break. There’s a reason why I don’t watch the show anymore. One, it’s because I work here now and I actually have to do work instead of watching a bunch of losers talk about sports, but you can talk about you can watch actual good people give you the content here at Chat Sports. And Bleacher Report came out with an article and talked about every single team’s most valuable trade piece. And they listed Raandre Stevenson as the most valuable piece for the Patriots. And we know about Raandre Stevenson and how yeah, he has the fumbling problems. Yeah, he’s missed the last three games with a toe injury. Yeah, a lot of people think that Tayvon Henderson should be the starting running back. But here’s what Bleacher Report had to say. The 27-year-old still has his moments which should be enough to draw some interest. Meanwhile, rookie second round pickon Henderson has emerged as the clear-cut top dog in the New England backfield. And now talking about that, I could see the Patriots trading Raandre Stevenson. Obviously, the trade deadline has already passed. It’s not going to happen this year, but next off season when the Patriots are really starting to make moves, look into the future of what all right, what do we need to fix? What do we need to do differently? I could see the Patriots looking to try and trade the veteran running back. He’s going to be 28 years old and you know in dog or running back years that is like a hundred. He’s getting up there in age and you can see right there 83 carries, 279 yards. He is still a very productive running back for the Patriots in a sense of pass blocking, in a sense of the downhill runs that is better than Trayvon Henderson. But Trayvon Henderson is the way more explosive back and I think at some point as he continues to develop, he’s still a rookie, but at some point, yeah, the Patriots are going to want to start Trayvon Henderson. I think the future at the running back position is going to be Trayvon Henderson. But all the fans, go on my Twitter right now, go on my Instagram, go look at the video. Everybody’s saying Brett Reandre should not be the starter. It should be this guy. Everybody wants to see it because he scored five touchdowns in literally two games and he has been going off lately. And if you look at the stats, yeah, they all look better. They all look better for Tvon Henderson. Less fumbles, higher yards per carry, more rushing touchdowns, more rushing yards, but also he has 17 more carries. And with Raandre, I still think that he’s a better pass blocker. I still think that on the goal line, I’d rather give it to Raandre than I’d rather give it to Trevon Henderson. When the play starts as a pass primary team, when you get the ball to start the drive, I’d rather have Raandre in than Trayvon. Now, when it gets to third down, second down, fourth down, probably going to want Trayvon Henderson in. And next year, if the Patriots, let’s say, decided to cut him. Let’s say they decided, well, it’s a dead cap hit of $8 million, which I don’t think the Patriots want to eat, but in 2027, it cuts down to $3.2 million. So, I think that uh it would be I think that the Patriots would look to get rid of him after this season. But if you wanted to trade him, don’t expect to get more than a fifth round pick. They’re going to see an aging running back with a fumbling problem. They’re probably going to say, “Hey, I don’t know if we want to trade anything for him.” It’s just going to be, “Well, we’ll give you a six. We’ll give you a pick swap. Maybe we’ll give you a fifth. It’ll be a conditional sixth. it could turn into a fifth round pick. But right now with the production that Raandre is giving, he’s kind of just your goal line piece. He’s kind of your pass blocker. So with with that, I don’t think the Patriots would even get anything for him. I think they would look to just, hey, you can take him. Some person’s going to take a flyer on him. But at that point, they would definitely cut him in my eyes in 2027. I think for sure that the Patriots would cut him, release him at a 3.2 cap hit. Yeah, he he won’t be a Patriot past 2027. Would you trade Raandre this off season? What do you guys think? I’m gonna go my T for trade. I still think that he should be the starter for the rest of the year, but I’m saying 60% 40% splits Raandre Ton and slowly but surely give Trevon that.
