The Av’s can just beat you in so many ways. The depth in the offseason actually concerned me. I didn’t see the vision. As it’s coming together… wow, this team is scary.
If they can figure out their power play and stay healthy, I don’t see another team that could beat us in 7. To clarify… their power play doesn’t need to get a whole lot better. 20% would do it.
I’d love to see another cup for us that being said there’s a lot of hockey left to be played this season, and hopefully we can stay healthy too.
I dont know if they’ll stay this hot, there’s quite a bit that can go wrong before the end. It is Nate and Cale carrying as usual, Necas has been good too but I don’t think his 30% shooting percentage is sustainable, only a matter of time before it tapers off a bit. They need to figure out the PP a bit too, I think they should try split Nate and Necas up on PP like they did with OT, they both try to do the same thing and compete for the same ice. Put Val or someone in front of the net instead
If they can get past or avoid the Stars in the playoffs
You can never stop an Avalanche
I obviously don’t think they’ll stay this hot all year. But with the Olympics this year and half the team playing in them they’ll be tired the 2nd half of the season. Build wins now and when they inevitably slow down they can lose a few games and it won’t matter as much
If this team can stay healthy-ish, they have a great shot.

I wouldn’t be so quick to compare this team to 2022. They’re a wagon but it’s early and every season has ebbs and flows. What matters is getting past the Stars
Yes. The avalanche can
The only major injury we’ve had other than Blackie is nuke and somebody in this sub the game before that happened dared the hockey gods by saying it’s nice no one is hurt this season.
I’m getting that vibe again because thg goes on a decent tangent about how crazy it’s been for Colorado specifically to be really healthy given past history

Dave Hakstol is sure doing his best to stop them

DeBoer can, just needs a team.
