Sens Today: Looking For Another Strong Game on The Road
[Music] Setting up the second of the trip in San Jose on Saturday. The Suns looking to once again build momentum off of the game in Anaheim going into tonight’s tilt against the San Jose Sharks. And we’ll get lineup confirmations a little bit closer to puck drop. But one thing is for certain, Lassie Thompson loaned to Belleville this morning. We’ll see if there are any defensive changes corresponding with Thompson heading back down to Belleville. Lars Eller also spoke yesterday about the momentum being built off of the game in Anaheim and what the SS need to do tonight against the Sharks. It’s really um not just important, but is a good feeling getting off with two points when you know you’re going to have seven games on the road. Uh a good start just helps build build the mood and uh momentum and a good feeling in the room. Everybody’s smiling today and uh we want to try to continue to build on that tomorrow. just us being on point with our game, uh, executing, willing to put in the work, um, and see if we can get a little bit better from where we were yesterday. Eller also spoke about playing on that line with Dylan Cousins and Fabian Zetto, the adjustment of playing on the wing and how he and Dylan Cousins, both natural centers, can work in unison and in cohesion, both as centers on that line. It’s easy to when you’re playing with uh good players, and I think we uh we were able to create some good looks on some offense. uh didn’t maybe get rewarded, but uh I think there was some some positives to build on. It means that we we’re able to take uh draws on our strong sides for once and um also both guys are comfortable. Whoever gets back first has to play, you know, down low and uh we can I think we’re both capable of of doing both. So, I think it’s a that’s a strength uh when you have those uh uh abilities on your line. We’ll see if that line sticks together for this one here tonight and the impact that they can bring against the Sharks. And as for the San Jose Sharks, they enter 108 and three so far on the season. A good start to the year for the Upstart and young San Jose Sharks. They enter off of back-to-back wins both on home ice. Both in extra time as well. First, a 3-2 overtime victory against the Utah Mammoth and most recently a 4-3 shootout win over the LA Kings. They’ve picked up points in nine of their last 11 games played. The Sens won both of their games last season against the Sharks. A 4-3 victory here in San Jose and a 5-3 win on home ice. Looking for another positive result in San Jose here tonight. With that, it’s the Sens and the Sharks on Saturday afternoon from San Jose. For Sense 360, I’m Jackson Star.
After a good start to the road trip in Anaheim, the team looks to continue the good momentum tonight in San Jose. Jackson Starr breaks down the latest new ahead of puck drop against the Sharks.
