Denver Broncos Just Made Another BRILLIANT Move…

Your Denver Broncos are at it again. Make another brilliant resigning of a guy before they have to overpay him in free agency. We also are linked to a free agent running back that nobody expected to clear waiverss and a superstar wide receiver is going to be hitting free agency next year and nobody saw that coming and we’ve got a breakdown should the Broncos pounce on that. If you’re new to the channel, I’m a diehard Denver Broncos fan. There is no byee when you’re sitting at nine and two at the top of the AFC. So George Payton is at it again. He just constantly throughout his tenure with the Denver Broncos has identified talent and paid them ahead of time before you owe that player a king’s ransom. And by doing that, he has so many players on this Denver Broncos roster who are playing on criminally low deals. We look at Quinn Miner steel. He’d get paid way more if he hit free agency. Pat Certan, it’s like criminally low how low we are paying Patrick Certan, Jonathan Cooper, the list goes on and on. And it continues to go on with the most accurate kicker in Denver Broncos history. We’re talking about Will Lutz here. Uh the Broncos used their by-week and locked down Shawn Payeyton’s dude. This was one of the first moves he wanted to do when he got to Denver. Uh he’s he had a ton of kickers early on in New Orleans. And once he found Will Lutz and knew that this dude has ice water running through his veins, he went and got him and it is just a brilliant move. Uh all you got to do is look around the league and just how bad kickers are and how many player how many teams would kill to have Will Lutz on their team. You look at uh even that Giants game, they probably don’t uh we probably don’t beat the Giants without that missed extra point. That Chiefs game, we know that blocked extra point was a huge part of that game. Uh the Rams are in search of a kicker. We see the Raiders are in trouble without a kicker. Uh the Atlanta Falcons are in trouble without a kicker. And and the Broncos didn’t just like get a serviceable dude. They got one of the absolute best. Uh multi-time AFC special teams player of the week. He was five for five in that game against the Kansas City Chiefs. And this dude is absolutely lights out when it comes to to kicking the ball, extra points, field goals. We’re going to break it down how he he actually uh he gets a lot of hate, but he’s actually better than Brandon McManus and Jason Elum. And I know that sounds like blasphemy, but I have the stats to prove it. And he is coming in here as the sixth highest paid kicker in football. And you just know that like in two years, he’s going to be like the 15th highest paid. And we’re going be like, how do we have Will Lutz locked down for the next four years and paying him so criminally low? So, I think that’s phenomenal. and just in general like 40,000 foot view. You look at this Broncos core that is now uh the top team in the AFC, the top team in the NFL right now and 90% of our roster is locked down for the foreseeable future and we’re coming off of Russell Wilson’s deadcap hit. So we’re we’re going to be good now and from now on and it’s just phenomenal. So how good is Will Lutz? Uh I grew up on Jason Elum. I absolutely adored Jason Elum and he was an 80% accurate field goal kicker. uh which seemed like absolutely phenomenal at the time. We know Elway loved him. And then I loved Brand McManis in that Super Bowl run that we had. It just felt like that playoff run he didn’t miss and was just absolutely insane. Now I’m watching him just dink them left and right and shank them uh with the Green Bay Packers. And Will Lutz blows them both away. He’s an 88.6% accurate field goal kicker. And when it matters the most, uh we look at how many game winners does he have this year? were four game winners where uh Shawn Peyton celebrating before he even gets to the T- box because he knows like that is going in. And that’s just not a feeling that we’ve had in Denver in a long long time. And everybody likes to hate on their kicker. Yes, there was that miss in the Colts game that probably ices it it away and it doesn’t even get to the the blown leverage call that we had. Uh but taking a look here at uh the one thing that you could say Jason Elim was better at than Brandon McManis was his extra point kicking. But there’s a huge caveat is that the NFL changed the rule after Jason Elum had already retired and has made kicking extra points way more difficult. They moved that back. So even that stat does not even uh play out. But look in here, when it comes to field goals, it’s not even close. Who is the most accurate field goal kicker in Denver Broncos history? It’s Will Lutz by a country mile. Uh and then when you take a look at it by distance, uh when you look here at really the 40 to 49 yard range, nobody’s better than Will Lutz. 30 to 39 yard range, he’s right there. And under 30 yards, uh he is he is right neck and neck with there. You the one downside with Will Lutz is he does not have a cannon leg. He can’t make it from uh kicking it, you know, throwing the ball over those hills like Uncle Rico could in um in Napoleon Dynamite. His 50 yards and plus, he he’s uh a 62% accurate field goal kicker. But I am just thrilled to death that the Broncos made this move and I think it’s going to age like a craft single on top of my kitchen counter. It’s going to be even better in a week after you’ve left left that out there. So absolutely phenomenal. Uh one of the big questions the Broncos have had with JK Dobbins being out until up until the Super Bowl is what we’re hearing from. Uh yesterday we had a chance to talk to Luca Evans, the lead beat reporter for the Denver Post. Without JK Dobbins, what are the Broncos going to do at the running back position? Well, a very very surprise waiver happened. Uh, and that is Damen Pierce. So, he was cut from the Houston Texans because not because he wasn’t good, but because he did not fit that running scheme. And then, uh, he has a chance to go through NFL waivers. If he’s, uh, claimed on waivers, then they have to honor his original contract. Uh, he was not claimed on waivers, which means any team in the NFL can reach out to him and call him and tell him, “Hey, here’s our vision for you. We’re not going to sign you to our practice squad. We want you to be activated to the 53. Here’s what we’ll pay you.” So, the Broncos have a real edge if they they want to go out and get Damen Pierce. You look at him as a rookie coming out of Florida. And this dude looked like, “Oh my goodness, how did the Houston Texans just score this guy that he almost had a thousand yards rushing as a a rookie from uh with the Houston Texans?” And the vibes around Damen Pierce in Texans land was a lot like how we felt about Philip Lindsay when we first got him, that he had four touchdowns. Uh he only played 13 games, so he didn’t he had a a stretch in there we did he didn’t even play. Okay. So, to to really be at on a thousand yard pace as a rookie is is wild. And then after that, uh he really kind of fell off um fell off the wayside. And what they’re saying is that the reason he was not a fit was because he did not adapt to the outside zone rushing scheme and that he’s a way more of a power gap type runner. So the question becomes like we know Shawn Payeyton invested so much time this off seasonason to move the Broncos to an outside zone scheme because that enables Bo Knicks to just absolutely thrive in the play action. Uh thinking of like a Kubak uh Jake Plamer like you’re you’re rolling out, you’re lining up under center. So the question becomes, could Shawn Peyton, if you had that type of talent, move us back to a a power gap? And the Broncos have actually played quite a bit of power gap system here. Uh, but does Shawn Peyton want like a the type of rusher who can do everything or a type of rusher like a Javvante Williams who comes in and just does one thing? We see Javvante Williams looked cooked with us because he he didn’t fit Shawn Peyton scheme and now is just absolutely balling out with the Dallas Cowboys. So, would Shawn Payeyton make adjustments to to the set to to fit him? And and looking at his his highlights, guys, a very very tough runner. Like looking here, multiple missed tackles there and just fighting through contact. an absolute stud and a powerhouse and the type of player who his rookie year was like, “How did we get this guy with the fourth over uh the fourth round draft pick cuz he’s so good.” Uh then you also do see that he has abilities um here was his first ever carry I believe against the Houston Texans and just houses it here. So you see again, but not a zone scheme, just hey, run power gap system right there. Just absolutely thrives. And then I saw a couple things on here I wanted to show. He also is a very good punt returner. Uh this is his huge punt return against the the Cleveland Browns that he had. I think it’s like a 90 yard punt return. So his special teams ability. Uh so let me know in the comments. Do you think the Broncos should make a flyer on him? The the odds on favor right now are that he ends up becoming a Charger. So the Broncos might even play him uh in week number 18. So let me know in the comments. Do you think the Broncos should make a run at Damen Pierce? Uh, other thing that is just absolutely wild here is that, uh, we know the Broncos, everyone was disappointed that we didn’t go out and get Jaylen Wadd or get Brian Thomas Jr. or get a wide receiver at the trade deadline. And looking ahead at the free agent class for this next coming uh, season, there are not a lot of running backs who you’re like, “Oh, I want that dude.” So, like that one of the best I mean wide receivers. So, one of the best wide receivers out there, Alec Pierce, I don’t think any of us would even know who he was if he was standing next to us in elevator. Uh, and you just keep going down the list. There’s no one on this page. Uh, like Mike Evans, he he’s like old enough to run for president right now. He’s going to be 35 by the time next season starts. And so, there’s not a player on there that really like jumps off the page. Uh, there is George Pickins, but he has a lot of character concerns. So, it is absolutely bonkers here that the San Francisco 49ers have voided the the guaranteed years for Brandon Iayuk and he will become a free agent next season and he could go anywhere. Uh Brandon Iayuk on paper is one of the best route runners I have ever seen. And he is just uh like ch take a look at some of this route running here. This in-n-out uh Pton Manning calls this the a burger route, right? Cuz it’s like in-n-out burger. Uh where he just jukes dudes and is one of the best route runners in all of professional football. He is coming off of an injury. And the reason that he was waved was because the 49ers didn’t feel like he was doing everything it took to get back out on the field and had some character concerns. he uh tried to show up Kyle Shanahan and wore different color shorts to a practice and Kyle Shanahan made him change his shorts in front of the the entire team. So I feel like if um but we’ve seen a ton of of guys who just don’t believe in Brock Pery and so they don’t show up. Like we’ve even heard Dre Greenlaw and Taleno Hufanga both talk about one of the reasons they came to Denver was because they had a quarterback they could actually believe in. Uh and and even San Francisco media was like oh does that mean nobody believes in Brock Pury? Probably does. So, might Brandon Aayuk be more bought in if he was here? So, let me know in the comments. Does this make you excited? And are you willing to look past a couple character concerns if it meant we had this type of talent? Either way, uh there is no by-week for your 9 and2 Broncos because we are that good that we are always in the news. It is phenomenal. If you didn’t have a chance to check it out, I got to talk to Luca Evans, the lead beat writer for the Denver Post. Awesome conversation. Had an absolute blast. Football is back a week from tomorrow. The Broncos are back. Uh, we got Chiefs Colts. Who are you rooting for? Going to be a great day. Broncos country. We got a ton to believe in. Ah, that was halfway

Denver Broncos just made another BRILLIANT move. George Paton and Sean Payton need to do a TED Talk about roster management. They’ve signed so many players to deals ahead of time that age incredibly well. From Zach Allen to Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto and Pat Surtain. Well, they’ve done it again and inked the most accurate kicker in Denver Broncos history to a long term deal. Wil Lutz is the actual man. In this video we break down why it’s a great deal and why Bo Nix will benefit from having a kicker who’s lights out for the foreseeable future. Enjoy this Broncos team now, but I’m telling you, they are going to be good for a LONG time to come. Sean Payton dethroned the Kansas City Chiefs, and the AFC West will run through Denver for a LONG time. We have 3 more full seasons of Bo Nix on a rookie contract, we’ll be out from under the Russell Wilson dead cap hit. We have 90% of our core locked up and will have LOTS of cap room to go fill any holes. I haven’t been this excited to be a Broncos fan since they signed Payton Manning. We have a TON to BO-Lieve in!

  1. I don't know who I want to win the Chiefs – Colts game. Of course I want the chiefs to lose, but I also want us to pick up that game on the Colts. Ideally, they should tie and that would work. It makes me sick to my stomach that I may have to go for the Chiefs in order to get that game back from the Colts that was STOLEN from us by the refs.WHAT TO DO? #GOBRONCOS #DBFL

  2. Next year we'll be free from the Russell Wilson deal, finally. We want to make sure we have our players for a few years because we could be in our Super Bowl window. I don't know if we're ready this year because the offense has been so inconsistent. The offense may have figured it out. We'll soon see. But either way, I think it's coming soon.

  3. All this money splashing around. They need to pay Vance Joseph. You don't want to face him in the playoffs. Is there a Ring of Shame? We need to build one just for Russell Wilson. I don't know if Pierce would be any better than Audric Estime. Why would we retool our offense for a RB? How is his pass protection? Can Pierce block downfield? I think Aiyuk costs too much mentally, emotionally, and monetarily. Pat Bryant is the truth. There needs to be a game where Pat Bryant gets featured. This late in the season chemistry is important.

  4. I took out my anger at the refs in that Indy game on Lutz, and he's been clutch all the way
We have a great RB, and even though the total didn't show it, we had many 4-7 yrd 1st down runs, so we can build on that
I would love it if we could grab that RB, just in case of injury and to spell Harvey occasionally
It's all lining up, even our loses are an injustice
Great breakdown Ben, really put things in perspective
    DB4L! 🫡

  5. This is great! He's earned it.
Nothing sucks more than proving yourself over and over and over and go unnoticed because all things seem to be going good, and no one thinks about locking you down and showing that appreciation.
    I'm happy for Lutz!
Companies out there should take notice- Lock your good guys down, because tho you're not thinking about them, they are thinking about their limited future and have to do what's best for them and their family. LOCK THEM DOWN!

  6. It's so awesome we have the owners that we do. Taking care of your guys who perform will only make Denver a more attractive place for FA. Love Pat Bowlen, and he was an incredible owner, but I am so happy we have Walton/Penner group. We are building a dynasty.

  7. Ik this video isn't about Bo Nix but go back in time to 2019 Oregon vs Auburn college game opener Arlington TX Bo Nix rookie season at Auburn down in the 4th quarter comes back and wins 9 seconds left in the game he has always had that IT factor and the has always been the come back KING for sure!!
