Miami Heat Blowout Bulls In NBA Cup Play | Kel’el Ware Double-Double | Keshad Johnson Has Best Game

Welcome on in guys. Tobin here with you and thanks for checking out the channel. Let me just tell you something. Okay, first lesson of the day. Pay attention class. That’s how you NBA cup right there. That is how you NBA cup 143 107. Your Miami Heat taking the Chicago Bulls to blowout city. absolutely hammered and I’m going to 2 and one in the NBA Cup. Now, as of right now, that puts the Miami Heat a halfame back of the Milwaukee Bucks, who are undefeated. So, the Heat are done three out of four. Their final NBA Cup game is against the Milwaukee Bucks. You obviously want to win that game and you want to move to 3-1 so you have a chance to move on. The Miami Heat do have the greatest point differential now plus 46 after that performance and absolutely annihilating the Chicago Bulls, but they also have to beware of the New York Knicks who beat them in the NBA Cup. So, if the Knicks finished 3-1, the Heat finished three- one, then it goes to headtohead. Now, if it’s a split, which I guess it wouldn’t be. Yeah, it could be a split. No, it couldn’t be a split because the Bucks have them next week. The Knicks play the Hornets on Wednesday and they play the Knicks on Friday. The Bucks play the Heat then the Knicks. So, if the Bucks win, they go to three and one, that game would be four because if the Knicks could tie if they beat the Hornets, then we’ll see head-to-head. That’d be the the difference. If the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks, that’s the East last game. So, if the Heat win, they’re moving on. Point differential doesn’t even matter as long as the Knicks don’t finish three and one. If it’s a three-way 3 in one, that’s a good then I think it goes to point differential if it’s a three-way. So if the Heat beat the Bucks, no, because that wouldn’t happen because that would mean the Knicks would be two and two. So basically the Heat got to win and they got to hope for the Bucks to beat the Knicks unless the Knicks somehow end up losing to the Hornets, which they’re all kumbaya now because LaMelo is not going. I think I confused myself even more. Anyway, the NBA Cup, we’re here, baby. The biggest thing for me, though, is your Miami Heat improved to 10 and six on the season. And I think today, my favorite part of the game, was none other than Showtime. Keshot Johnson, no doubt for me, he got the walk-off interview with Amy Otterbert. Welld deserved for him. Um I we talked about this in the in the in the idea of the starting lineups like hey who was gonna get an opportunity who would just start well ended up starting uh Kell. He ended up starting KL where we did get a good bevy of Keshan Johnson and I was happy about it was almost like somebody told him hey you’re going to play today play free play free play balls to the wall rebound. block, follow up, shoot with confidence, and he just looked like a completely different person. I know I’m not nuts. Okay, I know I’m not nuts. When I was like watching Keshot and GLeague or watching this guy work out pregame, I’m like, “This guy just looks he I’ve seen him look way too good in non NBA settings. This guy I don’t recognize who’s playing on the court. He’s playing conservative. He’s playing slow. He’s bobbling the ball all over the place. Now, look, this may be a flash in the pan game. He’s got to put it together. He’s got to be consistent. But today, at least looked like a guy who was playing with with a lot of fun, a lot of jubilation, and really enjoyed being back on a basketball court looking like he could play a little free and easy. Comes out, hits a three ball, then he’s rebounded all over the place, leads to a Haime Hz bucket. and he’s got a strong drive to the rim. He gets a foul. He’s getting boards all over the place. He’s just he’s he’s he’s he’s getting to the free throw line. He’s doing everything. You’re just like, “Wow.” And and and it’s been cool about this this season is just seeing with this Heat team being where it’s at. It’s been awesome seeing all of the guys really contribute along the way. But this was probably like the last guy on the team that you were just like waiting for one good night, one game. And mind you, this is a Bulls team that’s been a pain in the ass for the to play. They didn’t have Kobe White today. Crazy scenario where Red Velvet Kevin herder got kicked out of the game for just like flicking the ball annoyed, but uh he flicks the ball. The ball ends up hitting the official, they kick his ass out and he’s like, “What?” And not only that, they reviewed it and they still kicked his ass out. So, listen, I never liked that Kevin Herder. He seems like a menace to society. So, uh, you know, it was probably deserved. No, it it definitely wasn’t deserved. It was way way over the top. And the it was it was a wild thing. Um but Kell wear today, let’s look at his finals final numbers for today. He was 14 points, 12 rebounds, an assist, one steel, two block shots, uh two of five from downtown, six of six from the free throw line, three of 10 from the field. So yeah, still not the most efficient game in the world, but dude just played his ass off. He had uh you know, a ton of rebounds, offensive rebounds, keeping possessions alive. very happy that that that uh that KJ had a game like this. Showtime needed it and uh and he gave it to the Miami Heat. He uh he absolutely did. So, great performance from him. And then the starters today, I mean, everybody everybody seemed to put in work. the fir the first piece of good news was Norman Powell because he ends up tweaking a groin and you’re like all right like we good here already don’t have Wiggins you don’t have Yovic now you lose Norman Powell possibly for the road like you know you were going through it we were going through it with the crazy and it it It was it was it was a nutty thing to see. But either way, comes back. He had some big buckets for the Miami Heat. And then, you know, Bam did his thing today. Pretty pretty just consistent, easy does it. He gives you something. But the guy who you just you continue to love seeing what he’s pouring into this team and how his season has gone and that is Kell Wear. He’s been an absolute that, you know, Spo starts double bigs today and that was uh, you know, I was I was like, is he going to do it? Is he Is he not going to do it? I don’t know. He does it. Kell rewards him today. 20 points, 14 rebounds, block shot, two steals. Dude, he had the my probably one of my favorite plays of the game today. He starts a reflection. Boom. Out on the run. Gives it to Haime Hakez Jr. Hakez gives it back for the big time slam. I’m Look, he’s he’s just he’s just thrilling to watch when he’s out in that space. You see that athlete run. Um it was great to see. And then to see the way that the half close with Keshot swatting Josh Giddy out of here. It was uh it was really really an impressive impressive thing today. And then in the third quarter, I really thought that the guy who who who you know, I don’t even want to say like stuck the dagger, he like slowly was twisting the knife the dagger in like a matador into the bulls, dude. And it was just one of those third quarters like DaVon just got in the minute and he’s just like, I’m going to drive, then I’m going to get rebounds and then I’m just going to be flying all over the place. You’re going to hit me in the face. I don’t care. Then I’m going to get this little fade away. I’m just going to have it all moving and all working. And you’re just like, “Yeah, I like that. That’s good. That’s good.” DaVon Mitchell, you more. Yes. More of that. And he’s also one like this. This is just been very impressive for him. He uh let’s see his final numbers today. Gesh 16 points, seven to nine from the field, two of four from the line, 02 from three, six assists, one steel, dynamite. And then dude, Swedish Swiss, Hela Larson. This was another great moment today because a lot of stealing from the Heat today. They were tenacious turning the ball over. But games closing out, but you pile it on. He gets a steal and uh Eric Reid gives the Thunder little Dr. Jack Ramsay but throwback to Dan Marley Thunder Dan. And it was cool because Pel has the steel and then the windmill jam looked like those end of uh end of pregame Karan Butler alley oops or or or dunk contest having the bird take off. I mean, that Swedish bird took off to like an absolute missile with the uh the windmill jam. Absolutely sick. The the Arizona Wildcat boys today, they showed up strong, man. They showed up strong. They showed up impressive. And uh man, this heat team’s 10 and six. You seen a lot of the people like, you know, look, dude, I’m not gonna overreact to this. I’m enjoying the ride right now. This has been an unbelievably fun season. I’m so impressed with their ability to handle injury adversity this year because, you know, it was just such a a tough thing last year and you’ve had Bam out, had Norm out, had Wiggins out, obviously had Tyler out all year. Uh, no Yovic today and you know today you got one of those typical games like oh who’s stepping up tonight’s Keshot Johnson and I really think that today that’s going to be a game we remember that’s going to go a long way because I think like okay you remember it now you kind of remember the stuff that that helped you out. So, I uh I thought for me that was the the most important thing of today. But you just continue to get this relentlessness from Kell. DaVon’s been an absolute stud. Bam’s back in the fold. He’s making life miserable for everybody trying to score on him. Um Norman Pal is a dog. Hopefully, he’s okay. And this this groin thing doesn’t linger into the Philadelphia game. their ability to handle this kind of adversity this year has just been impressive to me. Um, and you know, it is you don’t want to look ahead to like everybody coming back because I feel like every time we’ve looked ahead to somebody coming back, then there’s been two guys have gone down. So, for right now, you just get impressed for where things are at on this uh on this type of win. But man, this was some kind of a this was some kind of a beatdown that they put on Chicago today. A team that has been frustrating for them. Similar record. They were eight and six coming to this. The Heat now improved to 10 and six. Chicago is 8-7. And like I said, I think it was reasonable to come into this road trip hoping for the split, but let’s get greedies, baby. Let’s get greedy. front end of a backtoback coming up. They don’t practice tomorrow. Sunday they play in Philly, then they’re back home for Dallas. But uh really really impressed how the stepups just keep happening all over the place for this

Miami Heat give the Bulls the business. Norman Powell plays through groin injury. Kel’el Ware keeps shining. Davion Mitchell put together a big 3Q to help Heat pull away. The biggest bright spot of the game was the performance of Keshad Johnson who got more playing time without Andrew Wiggins or Nikola Jović and he finally looked like he was playing free and easy. “Showtime” brought relentless energy and defense in his minutes. Hopefully this is a game to build off for the rest of the year.

  1. Storming Norman and Wiggs is such a good tandem on the wings. Kelel and Bam is such a good tandem up front. Herro has to play point. He has to be a faciliatator/scorer. If so…my God

  2. I believe we didn’t see much from Johnson before before he was trying to change his play style and feel to Miami Heat playbook but now we play more of free style and this is is the most he’s played since the play style changed to a rn and gun style fast pace style and he’s deff buying in and translating to this quicker and better than any other project that the Miami Heat have ran , they are experiencing him in this recent new offense and it’s a lot easier. This is better for KJ because I’m not sure that he really likes the fact that he has to study as if we are doing homework in high school just to be able to play and a starting lineup, but with this new offense, he gets a chance to play based off of feel rather than something rehearsed like please, etc. Bam said something about we barely run place anymore. We just play off of each other. And I really think that KJ is more comfortable with that sort of playing style so let’s just see what happens in the wrong one and hope for the best but I really think KJ is buying in. 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 go Miami heat!

  3. Like I said, please stay patient with certain players, the undeserved negativity about
Dru Smith while he was injured, and the negativity about
KESHAD JOHNSON and his slow adjustment to fit into the system and JOVIC who is young and inconsistent, and yall wanted to trade away FONTECCHIO without even knowing what he can do, PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE…..

  4. I put in the chat during the radio show to start kelel, someone in the chat said that didn't make sense. Seems like I was right, S/O to Keshad Johnson

  5. Pella Larsson Had +29 on the court tonight. Highest on the team. 16 points and 7 dimes. I think he is sneaky good. Crazy him and Ware were drafted in the same draft. They both are doing Great.

  6. I agree tobin, coming in to the season I was a little confused on our direction after watching the first 16 games it’s super fun to watch them every night and we’re not even fully healthy. Going to be even more fun when Tyler comes back
