Canucks are now currently 3rd in the draft lottery

No one is going to out tank the 25-26 Flames
Ivar Stenberg is legit
Ivar Stenberg now has the best Points Per Game rate in SHL history among draft eligibles:
I. Stenberg: 0.95
D. Sedin: 0.84
P. Forsberg: 0.74
H. Sedin: 0.69
Still a long season, but promising signs
I refuse to accept Tynan being a name
Honestly, if they can get a pick anywhere in the top 3, all 3 of those players are going to be franchise players.
Dealing Kane, Sherwood, Hughes should result in at least another 1st and 2nd (Hughes should bring a haul). This is a good draft class so let’s kick this partial rebuild into high gear!
Don’t worry, the Nucks will win 8 out of their last 10 games to barely miss the playoffs and draft 14th as usual
Canucks Luck that this Center drafted is not good too. But I guess they need everything at this point.
well late November historically canucks will go on a stupid win streak till Christmas, be in the playoffs then in January, February, and March forget how to play just enough we finish in the teens of the draft and miss the playoffs be 4 ish points
For some reason I keep having a premonition that we will finish the season towards the bottom of the barrel and win the odds. I know everyone rolls their eyes at this… but… we’re due
if we’re getting Verhoeff, I sure hope that we at least make up for drafting elite forwards with later draft picks from trading Sherwood, Kane, and Hughes, or the Hughes trade gives us some good forward prospects back
Finally the Canucks are getting things done.
But how do we get 1st or 2nd? 🤣
Not good enough! #1 or bust!
(We’ll normally bust because of a hot streak in March that turns it into a 12th overall pick, but still …)
Give me Verhoeff or give me death
I’d be over the moon on the Stenberg pick tbh. Sedin level production in the SHL as a an 18 year old
The oilers will get 1st overall somehow. They’ll place 7th and get first overall. I’m calling it.
And we drop to 11th
5 of the top (Or should I say bottom) 6 are in the west?
As the tradition goes, the Canucks will drop a couple of places in the lottery and draft 5th.
Once our injured players come back we won’t be this low in the standings
That top 3 this year is nasty. I personally hope that is where we finish.
Dont worry the league always make sure neither we nor buffalo will ever get 1st overall
is mckenna still going 1st i thought he was struggling a bit in ncaa
The other day on Canucks talk former scout Jason Bukula (sp?) was really pumping Stenberg’s tires along with Drancer. I don’t pretend to know anything about any of these guys, but it sounds like the top 3 are all pretty incredible.
Plz just take the best center available
Ahh yes, I see we are entering the almost annual dream of a high pick phase of the season. Soon to be followed by optimism that ‘maybe they can get in’ to the playoffs. Finally, culminating in the mushy middle where we cling to our 3.5% chance of 1st overall.
Awesome. I’m in full support of this
Pacific Division represent!
You must not be aware of the previous results of our lottery luck. The blueberry man is nothing but bad luck.
Go Canucks Go!!!
15th overall pick here we come
I think it’s finally starting to sink in for people, which is healthy.
30th in the league but 3 wins from a playoff spot and being top 3 in the division lol wtf is this league? Too many shit mid teams rn
3/6 being the western canadian teams..
Oh good, more wingers. Just what we need.
I hit the ‘Sim lottery’ button today for shits and giggles and we won lol
Can we just end the season right now before they f it up?
God damn I really don’t want mcdavid, celebrini, and McKenna in our division. We’re doomed
Bring linsanity home
You guys know if we actually tanked, like literally got last and lost every game, we’d somehow “get awarded” like 10th in the lottery draft.
As opposed to going on a heater late in the season at pick like 15th
Time stamp it . The exact moment canucks go on a heater
I said this before, but people overestimate the sample size at Thanksgiving.
.500 is statistically recoverable, but it cannot be any lower. The streaks they would need to start putting together to recover start straying a lot further into statistcal outliers, even for good teams.
A loss to the Flames tomorrow puts them so much deeper into that high-unlikelihood area, that it should decide the season, imo.
