They are still the current NFL Dynasty. It makes perfect sense just making sure that no matter what happens. This team has accomplished so much that they deserve the respect they are constantly given.

  1. Didn’t read the article but if I had to guess, the Chiefs haven’t been counted out yet because we aren’t currently literally counted out yet.

  2. Yeah I consider myself a doomer about this season. Tired of seeing no change when we lose. However, even with that, one down season where you’re still .500 after GOING to the Super Bowl is hardly the end of the dynasty.

Maybe I’ll feel different if we miss the playoffs. I think in the media our bar to achieve is so much higher. And amongst opposing fans we are the annoying franchise. So I get why haters are saying it. Copium.

  3. Last time they counted us out early we won the Super Bowl. We’re not counted out until we’re mathematically eliminated from playoff contention

  4. We missed the SB after getting slaughtered by Tampa Bay. Maybe this team is truly having a SB hangover from last season. Happens to other teams all the time

The guys look tired. They’ve played an extra season’s worth of games during the playoffs the last few seasons.

  5. I think they’ve only lost one game at home. I don’t know that they’ve lost any game by more than a score. They’ve had many fluky things happen that I’ve led to some of those losses so even if we just look at fluky things returning to the men and the law of averages the Chiefs should have better luck going down the stretch.

  6. PM can’t hit an open receiver and honestly has sucked throwing this season (he’s obviously been great when running, but that’s not good either as he had to do it so much). Our O-line is shoddy (but getting better with Simmons back, JT was obviously a HUGE miss). We have no pash rush without blitzing. We don’t use the run when the defense is pinning their ears back to play pass D.

I hope we sneak into the playoffs, then all bets are off. PM can still turn it on, we have a great WR room, but things are looking grim right now.

  7. Why is this even an article? We’re .500 overall but 0-5 in one score games. We’re 2 games out of the playoffs and have an easier schedule ahead of us than behind us including 4 of the teams ahead of us at home. We’re the number one team in FPI. Even if we weren’t a dynasty no one should be counting a team like that out

  8. Remember when people thought the patriots dynasty was over. 10 years without a Super Bowl

  9. I hate how the season is going, but they are top 5-10 in most offensive and defensive metrics. They just have been terrible in big spots.

  10. Sure. Annoyed. Tired. Could certainly stand less anxiety. Still, haven’t stopped rootin’. But

Ok. Get ‘em next year. We good.

  11. I think it’s just the annoyance of seeing the drive/game killing penalties time and time again. How many times has Taylor lined up incorrectly or had a false start that they are correcting. Or now Toub can’t seem to get Cochran to stop holding and we start with shit field position. Andy and Nagy calling bombs on 3rd and 2 when we got Hunt who’s a surgeon on that situation just to pull a three and out. It’s just been a wonky season that we can point to and say we could easily be at least three games better in the win column if there was some better execution.

  12. Chiefs are better than that 5-5 record, been a flukey season so far imo. I wont count out Chiefs until they are mathematically eliminated. If Chiefs make it to the playoffs I most certainly think we can make a run. I’ve seen them prove people wrong before.
