NHL Highlights | Senators vs. Sharks | November 22, 2025

While on the other bench, Travis Green in his
second season behind the bench with these Ottawa Senators. Off to a great start to their season
as well. First of two meetings between the Sharks and the Ottawa Senators as Ottawa plays
game two of a 7game 19-day road trip. And that goes against the usual culture in the NHL. Here’s
Celini. First shot for Mlin. And that one’s back. They score. Will Smith converts. It’s one-
nothing early. On further video review, we determined at 1838 the play
was offside. We have no goal. Missing his 18th game with torn thumb
ligament. Ottawa with a chance. David Pon the one-time. Nadulkovich there. Cross ice
feed just gets away from Celibbrini. Now Mlin trying to find a seam to Will Smith. It’s
picked up by John Clingberg to the net and almost got himself a 32 point earlier in the
period were it not for the offside. There’s a stop by Nadokovic. Here’s Mlin back in
on the attack. Drops it for Will Smith. He’ll find Clingberg open at the point.
Clingberg to the middle off the crossbar by Kurishv. Sharks Senators live from the
tank. We’re glad you’re along for the ride. Clo Shiru, the veteran on the far side on this
first power play unit. And now Stutsa again. Sanderson dishing back to the Germanb born center
iceman. A shot from the slot and they score. Dylan Cousins gets his stick out on it. A power play
goal for Ottawa. Real simple, right? And you’ve got that deflection in front. And it’s two layers.
So you got the layer down low and then that layer in the slot. Really nice play laying the
stick out. Watch the stick. The stick is set up for the target. There’s the target. You see the
target. You throw it as hard as you can. Good puck protection by Stitsla and then he drills
it right to the stick. So unit two out there. Grab God. Kurishv to Foley and the defenseman
Orlov as Omar will hold on here. A body check there from Hayden Hodson. That rattled Lucy’s
cage a bit. Here’s a stop shot. Saved by Omar as the former senator gets a chance to walk in
follow. Plays it off the boards. Wenberg throws on the brakes. Gets away from Stutzla and Jordan
Spence as TFoley controls off the boards. He’ll shoot it. Save by rebound. Wenberg back for Ekan
on this side. He’ll lunge out to find Clingberg. Got it through past Stutzler. Celibbrini out on
the wing for Smith and back up top. Clingberg loads up and scores. Scores. John Cllingberg
top shelf power play goal to tie the game. Again, watch 21 in front. Alex Wenberg
outstanding job of getting in the eyes of Lenus. Look where’s looking. All Mark’s
looking to the left of Wenberg and Clingberg smartly puts the shot to the other side. Puts
it to the right and what a beautiful shot it was. But Alice Wenberg in front and you take the
opportunity. Shots on net equals good stuff. It happens all the time. Volume shooting. There’s
Eller works against those stop. Chuck and De Ottawa’s got it up top for Shabbat. He’ll
shoot it. Saved by Nadulkovich. Aman will have to hurry and he does through center
on the move across the Ottawa line. Back to Smith. He’ll load up. Chance here for a score
and Weber shot stopped by. A great save by the Ottawa goalender. Prevents the Sharks from taking
a lead into the dressing room. He absolutely love that. Cellrini brings it in and there’s Wenberg
finding that little slot and oh boy, that is a heck of a save by Mark because that’s just going
over the glove into the top corner. Over tomark scored them both. Here’s Cllingberg again as
they get set up now. Gets the shot away and out with the glove hand to make the save with a
hit on Orlov and Orof shaken up. We should note Mario Ferraro did come out of the dressing room
to start the second period. But on that too, the puck Dimmitri goes to protect the puck and
the puck pops back a little bit. Bars Eller right off the faceoff win by Ottawa and again block
walks the Cousins pass now twoon-one down low one-time off the goal post by Zetland he’s got it
again fires this one wide on by KR gets that big body in there causes some disruption but Ottawa
keeps it in the zone finally clubed down and held by Nadulkovich for the Sharks I just go back to
that game against Vegas Randy in that 2016 playoff Here’s Kurishv with celibate and diving across.
Omar able to make the save off Mlin. Mlin working off the puck. Waits. Now he’s going to hit the
gas. He’s going into it now. He relaxes a little bit. He’s got such a right now. Ottawa is right
on the edge with their physicality. You’re 100% right. They are a physical team. Here’s Cousins
knocked down by Nadelkovich with the glove. Here’s Craft. Lays it off. Dandria. Look,
shoots and a stick save by Omar. Back to Dandria. It comes tie with a goal here
Thursday. There’s a shot from long range by Olaf. Stopped by Mark again. Shane
Pinto now with David Pon. He’ll send it back. Receives it from Shabbat. Pan shot
through the screen set by Pinto. Pan back for Stutzla. He’ll weave through center.
Stumbles. lost the puck. Here’s a turnover now to Winberg. He’s with Goodro Wenberg for the
Trey Safe. They score the rebound. Alex Winberg play. Sharks got theirs from the penalty kill.
I love the drive to the net away from the puck by Barkley Good row. And then Mario Ferraro. Wow.
How good does this feel? Mario, he jumps into the plate. He makes the play towards the net. Barkley
Goodro ties up his man and Alex Wenberg just takes the easy rebound. Just Barkley Goodro just
gives you everything. He’s got every shift. Smart player. Good for him. There’s a shot from the wing
by Eller that got through and Delkovich had an eye on it. Now the paddle behind the San Jose net.
Sertherland turns, fires, and that might have hit Eller. putting some pressure on the Senators.
There’s also been the announcement on the Fighting Majors to Reeves and Hodgson. There’s a tip in
front by Amio, but Delkovich there made a nice stop. Shane Pinto out on the wing for Michael
Adio. Cleared by Deé, but not out. Picked up by Giru. Twoon one down low. Here’s a shot and a
chance for Shabbat. He missed the net. For the Sharks, you can play up and down the lineup. What
the coaches love about him is that from the top of the circles down, he is a hard guy to play against
in the offensive zone. 20 goal scorers don’t just grow on trees. And God was one shy of 20 last
year. Played in 81 games. He was durable. A Hobie Baker Trophy winner as the best college player
back in 2018. Scored his fifth goal of the season for the Sharks Thursday night against the LA Kings
in that big shootout victory. There’s a giveaway by Graph. You rarely see it. Cousins denied by
Nadulkovich. And as Ekan has it now for San Jose, has some open ice in the middle. Here’s Ekan
over the line. Gets it out on the wing. Played by Wbert. Back to Lilren. Right into the mid of
Lenus Omar. Noodles as we’ve come to know him over the years. Oh my goodness. There’s a bad bounce
for the Sharks, but a good save by Nadelkovich. He’s 6’4 and he has a long reach but just lost it
off the toe of his stick and the Sharks are clear through the middle again. It’s spent time. There’s
no no trouble here. Here’s an oddman rush. Satland scores. Fabian Zetterland, the former Shark, ties
the game with a wrist shot. It’s 2-2. Timothy Lillerg on the change. Timothy Lilligan steps up
and that allows this to play right down on the attack. It’s it’s not a it’s not a great change
at all by the Sharks. A super shot by Fabian Zed, but it was again time spent in their zone.
Ryan Rosski is hot right now at his guys. You factor in the push along with the prowess by
Ottawa in the faceoff circle. This is troubles. Stutza denied by Nadulkovich. Point back
from Mcklin. He’ll quickly give it off to Eklan at the goal line. Will Smith looks off
the net. Has some room. Tries to sneak it past who makes the stop at the far post side. Look
at Alex Winberg going against Jake Sanderson. And so Will Smith sees there’s that space cuz
right there there’s the space. So take it and it’s a real close shot. It’s a really good idea
by Will Smith. Or for Tyler Tapoley. His pass knocked down by Stutsla. Here comes Pinto.
One man back. Or who stumbled turning. Pinto shot saved by Adulovic. A great short-handed
chance there for Ottawa. Pressured by Celrini. He gets it to Bath. Fumbled the puck. Will
Smith trying to work it in. Sharks tag up but lose the puck anyway as Sanderson now comes
ahead. A lead pass and a break here for Ottawa. And on the goal line they score. It’s poked
in by Tim Stutzla and the Senators have the lead. What a strange play. Just a really nice
pass in the gap and the puck sitting there and jeez Clingberg goes to try to clear it but his
stick gets caught in the pads of Nadulkovich. Watch this. He’s going to come clear this and
see how his stick gets caught and in comes Tim Stissa. That’s why you go to the net. That’s
why you keep playing and keep skating again. Off the tie up. Sharks have it. Kurishv back
over to Will Smith. Bouncing P. He’ll fire it and it’s knocked aside by Omar. Eklan now
back from Smith. William Ecklan in front. Kurishv shot. Windberger shot. Omar closes
the door. And you get three opportunities to the net to Foley there. There’s the
shot blocked. Nicely done by Sanderson. And then it goes to Wenberg and it’ll be
Klo Cheru against Alex Wenberg. Jeru ties up. It goes to Sanderson and that is going
to do it. The Ottawa Senators scored first, lost their lead in the second period, but
battled back and then got a gamewinner.

  1. Ottawa was great in faceoff wins towards the end. I think Ottawa won all but one faceoff in their zone when San Jose had the goalie pulled. It is hard to get things going offensively if you keep losing faceoffs.

  2. Sharks look really good. Whatever Celebrini is paid, it's not enough. Great win for my Sens. Congrats Zetterland! Jimmy Stu (<— Chucky's nickname for Tim S) showed why EFFORT scores goals. Ullmark getting better and better as the season wears on. Sens clawing out wins without our Captain. Wow! GO SENS GO!!
