FEATURE: Nate Landman’s Journey With The Rams Is Just Getting Started
Coming to the league undrafted, you never know where your opportunity is going to come. Once the Rams came into conversation, it was like, “All right, this is the place I need to be. This is a great fit.” Excited to do it tomorrow, man. Sir, happy for you. Thank you guys for believing in me. Give me the shot. I think this team is the pinnacle of my football experience. This is the most happy I’ve ever been playing the game off the field around the guys with these coaches in this city. It feels like home. The impressive thing about him is how he not only just came in and learned the defense, he became so confident that he could start talking about other spots. Hey, let’s take the field. Let’s go. Hey, take the field. Take the field. As an inside backer, you’re talking to the front. You’re talking to Sarah. You have a piece in the whole defense. Keep up the energy, boys. Execute. Middle linebacker position. That leadership quality just grows. I’ve always grown up in the defense where the mic linebacker is kind of the quarterback of the defense, you know, directing traffic and that’s that’s a place where I feel comfortable in. Hey, way to grind that series out. The way that Lamb Man commands the huddle, the way that he’s getting punch out opportunities, the way that they’re fitting up the run. I mean, I’m ecstatic if you can’t tell already. Um, I’m ecstatic about, you know, what this defense is going to be and ultimately how it’s going to help this team win football. Houston driving. Houston needs a touchdown. Can you describe that punch out play? You know, we’re down the red zone. It’s getting to a long drive. Your job and this win. Hey, win on three. 1 2 3. Where? Straoud throws right side number. Both fumbled. It’s on the deck. Braden Fisk scoops it up. The whole sideline erupts. The celebration out of control. Kind of blacked out in that moment for whatever reason. You know, I took my helmet off and just ran straight to the guys to celebrate with the team. Whole sideline came to celebrate. Your world count. Couldn’t be more proud to be a Ram, be part of this organization. Super grateful for them giving us the chance and then the teammates for taking me in, allowing them to earn their respect. How would you describe the impact that Nate Layman has brought to your defense this year? He has a certain energy that you can’t even like describe. Hey, time to lock the gates. They got to take this four quarters, baby. Nate’s probably one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. So, like by day two or three, he kind of understood everything and then he was who you see now. Fumbled. Rams are on it. A land man that charred it loose. It’s the peanut punch. Land man with another forced fumble. This dude is everywhere. They push the pocket to his lap. The ball’s chopped out. It’s a fumble. LA is on it. Wherever he is, he finds a way to get the football. He would tell you it’s practice performance equals game reality. He’s constantly going after him. Whether it’s OTAAS, whether it’s training camp, any type of practice that the ball’s out there, he’s looking for those punch ops. Jonathan Taylor to his right. Gobbled up. Coming to work every day, being myself, not trying to do too much, just trying to be the player that I am. Nate Lman gets LA off the grat. Being able to learn from him, just build an energy to where we just we could just flow off each other. The standard that he hold me to, the standard I hold him to. It’s been really fun. Everything we work hard for football. Where would you rather be? Let’s go. Let’s go. Just so grateful to be a part of this team and, you know, be led by Shawn and Shula and Money. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Thanks for watching. Make sure to like and subscribe so you don’t miss out on our videos.

Two of the best LB's in the NFC and both are UDFA's. Incredible.

22.5 mill not to bad :)π
Mind you LA RAMS do not sign linebackers. Not because they don't think the position is not important, but because they haven't found one worth paying.
What a day it is!!! πππ
Iβm so glad that the Rams have given the Land Man an extension. He brings aggressiveness and physicality to the linebacker group.

The Rams are so lucky to get such a selfless team player and a great leader. I hope he gets all the incentive that comes along with the guaranteed. He really deserves it.
This was the right move, and I'm glad the team didn't wait until the off season.
