You’ve got a Tampa Bay Lightning player underneath this group of players here. It was a hard hit by Sand Dean on James who’s getting up very slowly on the wall directly across from the bench. There was no penalty being called on Sand Dean, but after a hard hit, you get together, you talk it through, and sometimes there’s a bout, but not in this game here tonight. James will go down the runway to the locker room after the hit by Sandine. Second Lightning forward to do so. the other Nikita Coocher off in this period and Cooper’s calling the referee over. He’s giving it the what four. Thought there should have been a penalty. There’s the shot to the numbers there by Sandine finishing his check. James turned into him. And this is the last time they will see each other in the regular season. And Mike’s still dancing in there as the puck bounces wide to the cage. Now they’re getting nasty. Everybody’s involved. He knows his job. Things got a little hairy in front of the net and Douglas grabbed the first guy he was looking for, which was Tom Wilson. Both teams up. All the fans up to salute the combatants. So, here’s a great chance with a buck 35 to go for the Caps to make it a onegoal game. And here they are right in the neutral zone. He had already dropped his gloves. Notice Tom as he’s grabbing is dropping his other glove, his right-handed glove to start this bout against Douglas who was hunting him around the ice. And that is the correct call by the referees here tonight. the instigator, the five and the 10 that goes along with

  22. I love this from Douglas. Wilson tried to decline the fight but Douglas gave him no choice. More "enforcers" need to take note: If someone is trying to duck you, then just give them no choice.

  24. Have reserved bitching about the refs for most of my life. But THAT was a penalty… camera show clearly the ref watching that boarding. No call. Ridiculous.

    And while at it… someone needs to have a serious conversation with Wilson. IOW, wreck the dude.

  26. I really don't want Wilson playing for Team Canada, he can't resist the dirty play and on the "big stage" it's a guarantee. We have tons of great players, he isn't a good representation of the sport or the Olympic spirit. NHL hockey is nasty.

  36. Вилсон красавчик!!! Виноват судья, надо было удалить всех 4 игроков Тампы, когда они полезли в драку на одного после свистка и все было бы спокойно. Надо удалять зачинщиков драки!!!

  37. Douglas is one of those modern NHLers who feel that they need to chew on a baby soother to play… and he got his just deserts. Well done, Tom. Do Connor next. 🙂
