Tim Stützle, Thomas Chabot, Fabian Zetterlund, Travis Green Postgame Media vs SJS
First off, we’ll start with the goal. Maybe what you see from that pass from Sandy and then able to finish it off with uh Nicole. Yeah. Uh it was a great pass by Sandy. Uh I didn’t know it was offside or not. So kind of just followed up the play and uh yeah, great fake by Drake and all Kazzy had to do is put it in, but uh he didn’t. So uh yeah, I followed up and it was a big goal. Back toback wins now in comeback fashion on the road here. What’s working for the group in comeback fashion again here on the trip so far? Yeah, I think we know what’s working. Um, when they’re scored there, I tried getting it behind them, turn it over, and uh, yeah, they’re offensive team and, uh, we can’t really feed that rush and they came at us and scored and, uh, yeah, but we just kept it simple and, uh, kept playing our game and didn’t really got fad faded away when we’re down a goal. The second period specifically, I think it was 10-1 the shots after the Sharks had scored to make it 2-1. What’ you like from the team in the offensive zone after that goal? Yeah, uh, I think K’s line was, uh, great. Uh, they were heming them in. uh good changes and then the other guys came on the ice. I think we had really good ozone changes and they were tired. So, uh it’s easier playing against tired guys than when they’re fresh off the ice. For you personally as well, just how important is a win like this to, you know, get rewarded for the chances that you’ve put together over the past few games as well? Uh yeah, I think I was shooting it more uh today than I was uh last game. So, that’s that was my mindset coming in and had a couple good looks. I think our Paul play was good the first two and then we kind of didn’t keep it simple there and the third we had a chance to kind of bury him but um yeah I think we just got back at it and scored a big goal and um yeah I mean G I don’t even know if he lost a face off all night so uh it was pretty incredible. Maybe just to comment on that late uh period late third period faceoffs for G and winning those draws just how important is that for the group late in the game? Yeah, I don’t know. I uh there’s not one guy in the whole league I’d rather have out there than G uh for those draws. I have all the confidence in the world than him. And um yeah, I I just know if he needs a draw really really bad, uh he’s winning it. So it’s yeah, it was incredible to watch. Fabian has struggled offensively this year a little bit. How much does it mean to see him get on the board, especially against his former team? Yeah, I wouldn’t I wouldn’t say he struggled. Um he’s gotten lots of looks. Uh he’s playing the right way. Uh he’s forch checking really hard. Uh goes to the right areas and uh yeah, just great to see him get rewarded, but uh I wouldn’t say he’s he’s struggled at all. Yeah, first off, maybe just what you see from the team here tonight? Uh great game. Uh I thought we started a little slow and then uh I think we took over halfway through the game to be honest. I think uh we didn’t give them a whole lot. We created a lot of chances off our for check, which is uh usually our bread and butter. And um you know what, I thought we we didn’t give their their young guys, their top players a lot of room to get creative and and to make plays. So I thought overall pretty good game from everybody. And for you personally back in action, how do you feel out there? Felt great. It’s I mean there’s nothing worse than missing time. So uh felt great to be back out there and and playing with my teammates. A couple good looks for you in the offensive zone as well as the game went along in the second period specifically. What did you see from the group in the Ozone and the second? I think we like I said when we took over the game they uh um we didn’t they didn’t have anywhere to go and we created a lot of turnovers off of forche and then it led to a lot of ozone time for us and um obviously would you like to see more go in for sure but I mean uh it changed the momentum and it gave us uh a lot of rhythm to to get back into it and win this game. A lot of different reps as well with Jordan and with Nick on your deep pairing so far here tonight. Just maybe what did you see from the overall makeup of the deep pairs when you spent time with those two? Yeah, it’s great. I mean, they’re fun guys to play with and uh thought Nick and I had a great night overall. We didn’t give them a whole lot obviously um better on breakouts and we uh didn’t spend a whole lot of time. So, I mean, it’s off uh it’s on to keep building and and focus in on on that and take that over to to Monday night. feel to get one in this building and come away with two points after this. Yeah. Uh what a night. No, I mean it felt felt unreal. Uh great uh great pass by club there. Find me in the middle and then uh I thought I had Ky on the uh other side too, but I yeah shoot is not a bad option either, you know. And overall getting the win, another resilient effort to battle the way back in this one. What did you see from the team overall here tonight? Uh yeah, I mean uh half of the game uh the rest half of it we play really good. I mean we we do everything right out there, you We skate, we check, we do uh we play a hard game, you know, and uh they have a tough time to handle that. I mean, we know we’re a good team and we got to play like that every night and uh uh yeah, we do a really good job. Spoke past couple days about Dylan and about Lars on that line with you. What do you see from their contribution overall with you tonight? Uh yeah, I mean, like I said before, uh two really good players. Uh uh makes it easy for me to be around there and out there with them on the ice and uh yeah, we we’re building some more chemistry here. What does it say about the resilience of this group? again as mentioned battling your way back in this one getting a little late in the second resilience of this group so far early on this trip. Uh yeah I mean uh we stick with it you know uh we have the same thing in Anaheim and uh yeah we do it today again and uh yeah we move on after the goal you kind of hit your stick on on the glass there. Was that kind of the release of the frustration that had been building or was that just excitement or? Uh to be honest, I don’t really know. Uh just happened so fast. Uh uh I think I actually hit that before right there. So uh yeah, nice to do it again. Battles back. What’ you see from your team here tonight? Just a real another gritty effort. A lot like the other night. Um, I thought we played decent in the first half of the game and then I thought we kind of picked up the pace of our game with our tracking and our our forch check and uh spent a lot of time in their zone. Had a lot of good looks. Uh was it was a nice win. After the Sharks were able to make it a two-1 game, a lot of pressure in the offensive zone. What did you see from the group in the Ozone? We just got a little we got on our toes. We started tracking pucks whether it was off our forch check or in the ozone. rebounds. Uh allowed us to spend some time in their zone. We had shorter shifts and uh yeah, it was a good game. Aben Zetlin gets the goal of the equalized back in San Jose. What do you see from him and that line overall? Yeah, nice game. Um you know, nice to see him get rewarded finally. He’s been snake bitten, but uh you know, we we had a lot of good efforts by everyone tonight. And Claru late in the faceoff circle, you put him out there for multiple draws. Just how important is a guy like that to have them? Uh it’s, you know, we’ve got a lot of good centermen that are good on face off, but G’s a veteran guy and, you know, he can always count on him and came up with a big night in the circle tonight. Lena Smark also with some big saves down the stretch. Couple solid starts for him now over the last little bit. What do you see from him tonight? And liked his game. Thought he tracked the puck well. Um, you know what I liked is at the end of the game, you know, you know when the they have an empty net and we had ice dice it a few times, they’re going to get some looks.

did chabby just get a stinger?
See you boys on Monday!! ❤
Glad to hear Timmy back up Fabian, when the goals aren't coming there is still plenty you can contribute. Great road wins!
Can we get some creative questions instead of the same bland stuff every post game? I would have loved to hear if Chabot is ok after running back to the bench in excruciating pain
