Yay……….
Ref should have been fined too. Homer nearly had his head torn off. No call.
No thanks, we’ll take the flag instead
What’s new?
We are used to no calls what else?
Sorry Jalen, we missed the call on the field, so we need to fine you so that we don’t appear too biased. -NFL
What’s the point of the fine? Would have been better to fine the refs for not throwing a flag.
I wonder if he can appeal that and have it overturned since it wasn’t called lol
$5000 feels like a slap on the wrist. Enough for the NFL to say “yeah we noticed” but not “yeah we care”.
So the player gets fined 5K because the referees didn’t properly do their job, and wouldnt have been fined if the play was flagged? But the refs, nothing, sure
Still can’t understand how this wasn’t called. I was in the fucking upper deck at us bank stadium, opposite endzone, and saw it clearly…
We don’t care about fines we want calls. They should be fining the ref, not the players
The ref was staring right at it too. Anyone have the screen shot
Refs should be investigated 2 Games were it seems they tried to sway for the Vikings to win
So an uncalled flag is 5k? This is motivation for people to be sneaky lol…….
This put Homer on the injury report
Maybe
That and the phantom holding call that erased what would have been a first and goal in week one were both game changing calls/no calls. If Wright isn’t flagged for the defender slipping in front of him we’re 8-2 currently. If we extend that play last week on third down and get points and quite possibly avoid almost blowing a late game lead *again*.
I’m quite glad this series with the Vikes is over. Refball strikes again.
Such a joke. There’s zero excuse for shit like that to go unnoticed.
Fines should be proportional to the player’s salary.
The ref should get an equal fine. Then they would improve.
Dont fine the player. Fine the refs. It wasnt egregious but it still happened. Refs are paid to do a good job and they do it terribly
Who cares we needed the flag not his fine total bs. Did the refs get $500 fines for missing a call in your line of site. Bs
What a weird number. Did someone look at it and say “whoa, that was a flagrant foul, we better hit him with the old 5K Triple Three?”
How soon till a bunch of cameras with AI can replace field refs?
Only the ref should be fined.
Refs need to be in booths and replay should absolutely be in play to embrace human error. I hope that I’ll live to see the day that they’re off the field of play and mistakes can be fixed with out penalizing or stripping a team for asking for another look.
Ref in question has also been fined $400 and will miss the next game due to suspension.
