He’s right, and I do hope the Nuggets figure it out.

Losing to this team and that outlook from Jok are a bad sign. Early on he called last year essentially perfectly 😕.
I had a ton of hope for the team, but I’m worried it’s just an rest schedule giving is fools gold
This team looks great. The only problem is that team in Oklahoma that looks better.
Nuggets stay in the gym, stay tough; don’t take that shit
They’re going to have to dig in (to Kroenkes wallet for trade pieces)
We should be 16-0 (I know its not realistic). Every single loss has been avoidable. GSW was the worst i have ever seen Jokic play and we lost because Steph had like 11 points in the last 2 minutes. Portland was decided by the refs and if 2 calls don’t go our way we win. Bulls were on a b2b against Utah and we gave no effort. We were 13 point favourites against the kings and led by 13 in the 3rd q and then Westbrook couldn’t miss. If we have 1 more guy to give each starter a little bit more rest we win all 4 of these games.
Its the consistency. We can be really good, but we still fall complacent same as last seasons.
Denver still should make it to the playoffs no doubt, but I think Jokic looking at OKC and wants to compete with that. Lets be honest they are seriously really good.
everyone needs to pray AG comes back because without him our win now season is essentially over
The Nuggets will figure it out. He’s just being the leader he is and raising the bar for his teammates. Toews and Landy do this for the Avs too constructive criticism isn’t a bad thing.
Seems like he doesn’t want to get complacent and that’s a good mentality to have, this is how you should respond to a tough loss.
And he’s right it does feel like we could play a bit better, which feels a bit wild considering we’re top 5 in off and def rtg (not sure after this last game if our def rtg is still #2 though), lots of close games already and things haven’t gone our way. There’s still some things that need to be ironed out.
On the bright side, this means the ceiling for the team is pretty high. I feel more hopeful than I did last yr since I knew the issues were roster related and nothing Jokic/Murray/AG could do would change that. This year feels different
I see what he means. Were a really good team, we are not better than OKC
Honestly the way I see it. This season will be decided on matchups. It’s clear who’s 1-3 in the west. The focus right now should be getting experience to the players that need it and get the other ones healthy while giving the starters enough rest to make it through the season. I don’t wanna see Jamal with dead legs at the end of the season. We know what Joker can bring but he needs as much balance as others at this time of the year. Matching up with houston at the 2-seed would be worst case scenario at this point. It’s much better playing Minny or LA at the 4th seed and then playing OKC in the second round so season record should not be the main concern.
Jokic at this point in his career need to be playing with an actual all-star. Yes Jamal came in the season ready to go for once in a while, but he hasn’t leveled up as a player. He’s been our leading scorer only 3 times so far this season. Jokic doesn’t want to be the leading scorer every single night. Jamal in reality should be that and doing it efficiently. Jokic dropped 34 and 44 in a B2B. He raised his level. Jamal dropped 26 and then 23 vs Sac. These are not far from his averages the last 3-4 seasons, but we need another level up. Do something like drop 30 vs Houston and 28 vs Sac or then 34 vs Sac
I agree. Our record just like last season is inflated. GSW in the opener was a real team but we lost. Portland was a game for us to test ourselves but we lost that one too. We got destroyed by a solid team ,the Bulls, at home (their bench destroyed ours). We barely beat the Rockets who are the best team we have faced since the start of the season. Now we lost to an awful Kings team. I am happy we have a good record but we still havent really proven to the league we are a legit team. We may have a high offensive and defense rating but most of our competition were teams we are suppose to beat and are not that great.
Spurs most likely without Wemby on Nov 28
An upward trending Suns team on Nov 29
A solid Hawks team on Dec 5
An upward trending Magic team on Dec 18, Dec 27
Rematch against the Rockets on Dec 20
A struggling but still solid Timberwolves team on Dec 25
Heats, then a good Raptors team, then the Cavs.
The games are going to be tougher with much better opponents before the All Star Break. We may have a 12-4 start now but dont be surprised when our standings start to drop a bit. This team needs more challenging tough games to get them in the right direction.
We are simply not on the level of OKC yet. Be fucking real. If Jokic can be realistic about the position of this team, I’m sure yall can too.
Said the same thing and the butthurt glazers rained in….now we got it straight from the horses mouth. B2B is not an excuse we played terrible, Joker was the only person with effort, everyone else, especially watson throwing lazy passes and giving up on defense. At least take your possessions seriously. Joker had two 50 point game losses because he doesnt give up, and gives consistent effort. The west is stacked meaning one or two dumb losses can have us facing OKC in the first round. 2 last year in March could have put us in the play in
we need ag and cb to bring the energy. i bet we woulda won atleast one of these games with one of them refreshing the energy
“we need fewer back to back games”
Lmao is jokic a doomer too?
Is there anyone who disagrees with him?
He is 100% correct, they got a lot of weak teams and got lucky with star players missing in other teams, a fornutate sequence. only real tests were houston yesterday, and suns and minnesota rare off shooting night for edwards. Rather than that they won against a bunch of tanking teams or teams missing a star player.
The fact alone that in these 15 games they played pelicans 2 times, sacramento 3 times and indiana.
the whole list of wins and losses:
w phx
w minnesota (no edwards)
w pelicans (2-15 tanking)
w sac (4-13)
w miami (Adebayo got injured first quarter)
w gsw (no curry)
w indiana (2-14 tanking team)
w sac (4-13)
w clippers (5-11)
w minnesota (off game for edwards 0-8 3P, 34% FG)
w pelicans (2-15 tanking)
w houston
L against GWS with curry
L against Chicago
L against Sac
L against Portland
This is an all-in year and it hasn’t been demonstrated on the court. Gordon’s injury is going to be significant, as is CB’s but prior to that – beyond Murray and Jokic playing at a high level, there have been too many inconsistent games and performances.
Ermmm u guys beat rockets on the road… im shocked u guys even lost. Just lost focus, it’s not a big deal. I mean I guess it is if ur trying to get HCA against okc but tha would’ve the only reason to freak out
You cannot lost against Chicago and Sacramento at home. These teams are bottom feeders (Chicago is slightly improved) and you especially can’t lose against them at home. Joker is right. The team was content with beating Houston and didn’t give a damn on the back to back.
