POST-RAW | Kris Knoblauch 11.22.25

Chris, maybe just take us through the victory and how important it was for your club to end this long road trip with the win. Yeah, it was long. It was grueling. Um, you know, I thought our effort the last two games was probably our best. Uh, not easy coming here in Tampa Bay and Florida, uh, playing those two teams, but I thought our guys were really focused and did the little things that we needed to do. How about the night from both Echome and Booard? Three assists each, but just so important for tonight. Yeah, those two have been playing really well and we leaned on them a lot in the previous game in Tampa Bay and played some really hard minutes especially late in the game um in that back to back and then tonight same thing and you know started off really well um and they just continued from there. A couple plays that Bard made on the on the first two goals. The first one to keep the puck in and then the other one made that nice pass to Rosie. But all night those two were splendid. How about Stewart Skinner rising to the challenge in the third period, especially down the stretch? Yeah, he played uh really good tonight, especially in the third period. They had some chances and you need some saves and, you know, one-time off the one side and um couple point blank semi- breakaways there. Um we needed them and he he rose to the occasion. How would you Oh, sorry, Gino. How would you assess the seven game road trip with a 33 and one record, Chris? Um, you know, I mean, the fact that we came out 500, I would say we’re, you know, probably we should be pleased. I guess anytime you win your last one, it’s it’s nice. Uh, but, you know, there are some games that got away from us. Um, you know, to go in and say on this road trip we were going to be 500, we’d say, “Yeah, that’s that’s okay.” But I think some of those games how they slipped away is maybe a little um bitter for us. But, um, yeah, overall, I like where our guys are going. Are you seeing more signs of the team that you kind of expect to see and want to see moving forward? Um, absolutely. Absolutely. Um, you know, there’s always things that we can improve on. Uh, but, um, you know, first and foremost is how well you play defense and how well you compete for pucks, those loose pucks. And uh you know last few games I’ve seen a lot more um us coming up with the pucks and you know the back check um breaking up plays where they have a opportunity to score but our second effort to break those up at the last second you know I’m seeing more of that and that’s what we need. How about facility pod goes and throughout this road trip it looked like he was pretty consistent with his effort and has just pods has been really good almost every single game every single shift and that’s what we like about him is just how consistent he is and not only consistent but just good you know the things that he did and that goal um you know for him to make it it looks like it’s a bad angle but that’s a that’s a that’s a good play like that’s um it wasn’t a lucky shot like he knew where he was putting that. Um, but yeah, Pods is a very valuable player to our team and I think he’ll just continue to gain more confidence, you know, as with with a puck and contribute a little more offensively. And I know you have firsthand experience with how good Sergey Babroski could be, but just the positives of being able to chase him on 17 shots tonight from your group, how important that was to the victory. Yeah. you know, anytime um you’re able to score some goals, you know, you know, there’s always games where you play really well and you just can’t get them in. And tonight, we were able to get them in.

  1. What. A. GAME πŸ’™πŸ§‘πŸ’™πŸ§‘πŸ’™ Everyone was fabulous tonight!! Freddie WON that fight!!
And Stu and Picks' performance in these last two games PROVED what I've been saying: Our goalie tandem ARE GREAT GOALIES when the Oilers play top-to-bottom defense!! All they need is a team who supports them, and look what they can do. Both of them blocked 30+ shots, which is nuts!! I AM SO PROUD OF OUR GORGEOUS GOALIE TANDEM!! ✨
    STU AND PICKS FOREVER!! πŸ’™πŸ§‘

  2. Also, my lil parody song from earlier needs a reprise… let's go:

    I SAID PANTHERS

  3. Finally a solid win against our enemy Panthers. So hard work and Connor Clattenburg size and toughness helps. More victories to come if they continue to play like this. Still want Paul Coffey back

  4. You changed up your System finally…nice job of finding a more cohesive D-zone exit….smart move…much better N-zone TRANSITIONS…and pretty good work together in the O-zone entries…. keep chipping away…. dont go back to that Quick-up D-Zone exit it doesnt fool or beat anyone hasnt for ten years now. Go Oilers!!!

  5. lets remember we are 25th in points percentage. we are NOT looking good despite the win…. first season in three years I can't see our Oilers win the cup.. next season (yet I still think Kris is the right man for the job and manages the team well despite clear drop in quality after the summer break)
