🚨MAJOR NEWS: Bears Sign 4 Veterans To 53-man Roster + LOSE Tremaine Edmunds, Johnson to IR
Tons of Bears news for you guys ahead of their week 12 match up against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lots of moves, lots of new IR news and also the Pittsburgh Steelers get a big boost. I’m going to go through it all right now. But before we get more into today’s show, if you’re tired of all these injuries and losing key starters, hit the like button on this video. Along with that, too, do you feel like the trainer should get some heat? Comment Y for yes or N for no. And if you do that right now by liking, commenting, and subscribing, you get all this uh opportunity to enter to win a Colston Love autograph photo. Now, let’s go into it. Bears roster moves from Jeremy Fowler, linebacker Tummaine Emmens, and Rashan Johnson placed on IR. Linebacker Carl Jones and running back Britain Brown signed to the 53man roster. Tight end Nicola Kick and offensive lineman Jordan McFatenic called up from the practice squad. Quarterbacks Jaylen Johnson and Kyler Gordon remain on IR. That’s a lot to break down. Let’s break it all down for you. Starting off with bad to worst on the injury front, especially for IR for the Chicago Bears as they start off with Tmaine Edmonds who hits IR ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers week. We got the Steelers, the Eagles, and the Packers in the next three weeks. And that’s a huge, huge lineup that we could have really used him. Clearly, this groin injury is more serious than we thought. And it all started this morning at 9:54 a.m. Central time when Brad Bigs tweeted out Bears media website shows that linebacker Tmaine Edmonds has been moved to the injured reserve. We’ll see if that is announced by the club. One source this week said the groin injury Edmonds has was likely a multi-week injury. Stay tuned for this one. This is just bad. This is getting bothersome how these injuries continue to happen. I understand football is a very tough game. Tummaine Edmonds very tough guy, but he’s having a career year at the moment. And while we’re losing him, along with that, we weren’t gonna have TJ Edwards. And we even lost Noah Su this week. So, Tmaine Edmonds, this is what we’re losing. 89 total tackles so far through 10 games, 46 of them being solo with four interceptions in nine passive questions. He’s tied for second in the NFL with interceptions at the moment and first by tight ends. He still or excuse me, linebackers. He has three tackles for loss and one sack as well. So, who’s the next man up that’s going to take over this linebacker room considering we’re missing our top three linebackers? Here’s the look of it right now. So, you have Demarco Jackson who’s played in nine games so far for the Bears with 11 tackles. Along with that, too, you have Ruben Hippoly who might finally get some big playing opportunity that Bears fans have been looking for. He’s got six games and four tackles under his belt. And then you got Amen who just came back from IR. He’s played in two games so far for the Bears. One special teams tackle, nothing from the field. But it is time to shine for these guys. This is a huge opportunity for them to come out, have a big game, make a key impact. Hopefully, the Chicago Bears have them best prepared. But there’s a few good things going here. Jackson played in Dennis Allen’s scheme during his time in New Orleans. That makes him an instant plug-and-play type guy. He was a regarded player that Dennis Allen really enjoyed. So, he comes to Chicago and he came to Chicago earlier this year. He is now taking over. Then you have Ruben Hippolite who Dennis Allen was pumped about picking. The super athletic outside linebacker finally will get some playing opportunity and this could be his legacy game like a lot of Bears Twitter is going out there and saying. So then this is where it’s not going to be a legacy game. It’s going to be the same defensive back room that we have been dealing with with Jaylen Johnson and Kyler Gordon. Both of them still ruled out this upcoming week. This came from Jeremy Fowler and he said defeensive backs Kyler Gordon and Jaylen Johnson both questionable for Sunday versus Pittsburgh won’t be activated this week per sources, but the team is hopeful that both can come off IR next week against Philadelphia if all goes well. So a big boost that week, which absolutely stinks. And then another one too is that Rashan Johnson is back on the IR. He’s been on and off the injury report. Everyone thought that he played last week, now he hits it again. So this just hurts a lot. This is a guy that’s been trying to go out there and when he is out there he is impactful but unfortunately he hits IR again so the Bears won’t have him and this is just my overall thoughts. We’ve dealt with this for both this. So in regards to Tmaine Evans we haven’t. This one’s new. But the defensive back room we barely had Kyler Gordon this year. We really haven’t had Jaylen Johnson at all this year. So Nan Wright, Tyreek Stevenson and CJ Gardner Johnson taking over the way again for the Bears which they’ve held their own. But this is going to be a big battle against Aaron Rogers and those Steelers. He’s still questionable at the time of this recording. But also on top of it too, Dennis Allen now has six starters out this upcoming week. This guy has been under fire so far for just at least his rankings. And listen, best takeaway team in football. But all things considered, he’s been under fire from stress because of all his guys getting injured. Six starters out. Tmaine Evans, Jaylen Johnson, Kyler Gordon, Dio, Noah Su. I mean, like, listen, that is just absolutely insane. He’s also had to deal with Grady Jarrett so far this year, too. and TJ Edwards. So, there’s your six right there. Absolutely insane what he’s had to deal with. So, we’re gonna go through all the roster moves that just happened for the Chicago Bears. But before we do, help me go fulltime. We are 85 away and on along with that too, we’re 85 away from our next goal of 39,600. And before I get into all the roster moves today, I would like to thank today’s sponsor, Mint Mobile. An upfront payment of $45 for 3 months, $90 for 6 months, or $180 for 12 months is required. Let’s get into all those roster moves right now as the Bears made four of them ahead of their matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Starting off with number one is that they brought Carl Jones Jr. back onto the roster. He’s been on and off being on the practice squad, but a linebacker in special teamamers that the Bears need, especially with all these injuries that are happening right now. and he knows this defense. An instant guy that can come in and he’ll be playing. So 61, 226 pounds. He is um excuse me 25 years old attending UCLA and undrafted rookie free agent. But so far this year in 2025 for the Bears, he has 10 total tackles, two of them being solo with no interceptions, no pass deflections, and nothing across the board. So mainly he’s going to be on special teams. but a good dep piece for the Bears to bring in in the linebacker room I talked about earlier likely going to be guys taking over this upcoming Sunday for the Chicago Bears. Now Britain Brown, a guy I’ve been very high on and I’ve always wanted him to stay on this roster. It looks like he’s going to be on it for a while as he signed to the 53man roster. Good news overall here for the Chicago Bears as he will be active this upcoming Sunday. And I’m excited about it because of the fact that this guy rocks. I mean 6’1, 205 lbs, 28 years old, attended UCLA and was a 250th overall pick in 2022 by the Las Vegas Raiders. Going more into it, he had five attempts against the Bengals in his one appearance with the Bears this year in the regular season with 37 rushing yards, 7.4 yards per carry with one rushing touchdowns and two first downs. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I think him over Rashan Johnson is the better move. He’s a bigger, faster running back than Johnson. He’s better at hitting the gap. And along with that too, he’s reliable. He doesn’t get injured. He’s a very good player. He’s good with the team. So, I’m happy to see that the Chicago Bears brought him up and are going to have him on the roster and it’s probably going to be for a significant amount of time. So, make sure that you guys go out and look for that. And also keep an eye on him as again those stats against the Bengals, he ripped it up over seven yards per carry and he did that in the preseason as well. So, this is good stuff overall here for the Chicago Bears. Then the Bears brought up tight end Nicola Kalanick who was a part of the Raiders last year. Bears picked him up, put him on the practice squad, but a big tight end that brings good blocking ability and can play that fullback position like we’ve seen with Smith and Carlson throughout the last couple of weeks, but he comes up onto the Chicago Bears roster for this upcoming week against the uh excuse me, Pittsburgh Steelers. Then Jordan McFaten, one of the best interior offensive linemen of the preseason this past year, will also be on the Bears 53man roster. He comes up and Bears picked him up last year from the Chargers. He had a great preseason this year. In fact, the Bears were actually trying to shop him around because they were hoping someone would offer a late round pick for him. Well, unfortunately, they didn’t, but fortunately enough for the Bears are able to keep him and he gets his first action of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers if he is called upon. So, Bears call him up and happy to see what they’re doing here. Now, the Steelers got a boost like I kind of talked about earlier, and it’s a good one for them because it’s on their defense. And no, it’s nothing about Aaron Rogers yet, but Ian Rapaort tweeted out, “The Steelers are upgrading defensive tackle Cam Hayward and quarterback Darius Slay, and they are no longer questionable. Both will play against the Chicago Bears.” So, a big challenge for the offense, just like the defense that they’re going to have. So, this is going to be a matchup that truly shows if this team is special or not, which I think they are. I still think the Bears have the advantage here. Soldier Field’s going to be rocking. They’re going against the Steelers. They have all the momentum behind them. Things are going in the right direction. So, big overall news here for the Chicago Bears. But guys, with that, thank you as always for tuning in to this episode of Just Another Your Chicago Bears. If you haven’t already, if you please could like this video, comment your thoughts, and subscribe to the channel. But with that, thank you as always for this episode of Just Another Your Chicago Bears. My name is Broaddy and as always, bear it out,
The Chicago Bears enter Week 12 facing one of their toughest challenges of the season, and the latest updates out of Halas Hall have completely shifted expectations heading into this matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In a stunning blow to the defense, the Bears will be without Tremaine Edmunds, T.J. Edwards, and Noah Sewell, leaving Chicago without all three of their starting linebackers. On top of that, the secondary has taken another major hit. Per Jeremy Fowler, Kyler Gordon and Jaylon Johnson will remain out, giving the Bears one of their thinnest defensive units of the year heading into a game that could shape their playoff push.
The roster moves reflect just how much this team is trying to stabilize things quickly. The Bears officially placed LB Tremaine Edmunds and RB Roschon Johnson on IR, removing two major contributors for at least the next four weeks. To counter the losses, the front office elevated reinforcements, signing LB Carl Jones Jr. and RB Brittain Brown to the active roster, while also calling up TE Nikola Kalinic and OL Jordan McFadden from the practice squad as the team looks to reshuffle depth across multiple positions. Even with these moves, it’s clear Chicago will be relying heavily on young players and smart coaching adjustments to survive this stretch.
The tough injury news for Chicago is only amplified by what the Steelers are getting back. Pittsburgh welcomes Cam Heyward and Darius Slay, two veteran difference-makers who could drastically change the tone of the game. With the Bears missing key starters and the Steelers getting major defensive help, this matchup becomes an enormous test for Chicago’s offense and Ben Johnson’s adaptability. Caleb Williams and the offensive line will need to be sharp from the opening snap, especially against a Pittsburgh pass rush that is now far more dangerous.
Despite the adversity, the Bears have continued to stay competitive all season, and this upcoming matchup has major implications for the NFC playoff race. The team has shown resilience in every phase, and this week will require leadership, discipline, and execution at the highest level. Whether the Bears can overcome these losses—and spoil the Steelers’ return of two impact defenders—will be a defining storyline in Week 12.

Dennis Allen is freaking outstanding!!! He literally is a defensive mastermind. All of our starters pretty much has been hurt and he knows who to put in. Respect to that man
30-24 Bears. 🐻⬇️
Let’s go!!!!! Bear Down baby we got this!!! Claws up!!! 🐻
This does come down to depth and how well you evaluate talent! How can you build a team without keeping developing players on the practice squad. Guys on special teams need to be better and moved up to offense and defense next man up we don’t need special team lifers we need the one ready to get a shot because the starter was better right now!!!
