Top rankings from our good friend Pete Prrisco just dropped a new number one team. We got the Rams. BJ is here with us. Rams, Patriots, Eagles, the Colts are at number one. What do you think about the Rams? Broncos should be higher. Really? Number five. Should be higher, man. Championship type defense. They saw what they did versus the Chiefs this last week. Uh but not mad. The Rams are number one. Okay. Biggest riser by the way goes to the Jags 13. Oh my god. Tawa looked like looked like MVP. No, just kidding. Um, but hey, what a blowout win over the Chargers after you get embarrassed by the Texans. Speaking of the Chargers, they’re down to 16. The Chiefs no longer in the top 10. Le, yeah, not surprised at all. They’ve really struggled to find their identity this year. The playoffs started today, they wouldn’t be in the playoffs. Yep, they would not. And then we have the Dolphins up two spots or up to number 23, excuse me, after winning two straight. No movement with those bottom four teams, Saints, Jets, Browns, and the Titans coming in at number 32. So, as you mentioned, Leah, if the playoffs were to start today, the Kansas City Chiefs would be on the outside looking in. They’d be in Cancun or Plarman or wherever the heck, you know, location they want to be in. Denver, the one seat in the AFC, Philadelphia, the one seed in the NFC, Buffalo and uh Pittsburgh, that would be one of the matchups. And Le, we’re going to go through as things stand right now. We’ll go AFC, we’ll go NFC, and you’re going to make your predictions. We’re going to work our way all the way through to the Super Bowl. So, let’s start with the AFC side of things and how things stand right now and we want you to make your picks and how you think it’s all going to shake out. Yeah. So, in the first round, your Taw Jaguars are playing the Patriots. I have the Patriots advancing. I love what Drake May has been able to to do. Also, they have one of the best defenses in football. Nobody’s talked about it because Drake May has been one of the top candidates for the MVP. You go to the Chargers, Colts, the run game travels in the playoffs, but they’ll actually be home in this game. Jonathan Taylor will be too much for the Chargers. also offensive line issues and then the Bills I have them advancing versus the Steelers also and they’ll play the Colts in the divisional round. Okay, so we have the Bills and the Broncos in the divisional round five versus one and then we have the Colts and the Patriots. Those are the two divisional matchups in the AFC. Y so let’s switch gears and go to the NFC where the one seed here is the Eagles, but walk us through the wild card round. How does that all play out? Yeah, the 49ers and Rams play in in the wild card. They’re divisional foes. I have the Rams winning that game. We know the 49ers won earlier this year, but I think the Rams are playing at a different level right now. The Packers versus the Bears. The Packers have owned the Bears for the longest I can remember. I think that continues in the playoffs as well. The Packers advance and then we have a rematch from what we saw earlier this season. Seahawks versus the Bucks, but the Bucks were at home this time. They won in Seattle. I think they’ll get a couple people back. I think the Bucks will advance. Okay, so it’s Bucks, Rams, and then Packers Eagles. I want to switch back and go to the Bills and the Broncos. So, you do have the Bills making a a deep run because it has been kind of a roller coaster of a season here for Buffalo. So, let’s go back to the AFC and we’ll talk about that first matchup in the division around with the Bills and the Broncos here. We’ve seen it before, but this is a different Broncos team. I would be excited to see this matchup. Now, to me, this is good on good. You got Josh Allen in the offense versus that Denver Broncos defense. We’re assuming because this is the playoffs PS2 would be back. So this Denver defense would be even better. They lead the league in sacks right now, right? And not just by a little, by 17. The next closest team has 32. They have 49 sacks, right? So like they can get after the quarterback. I have the Denver Broncos advancing on this game because I think they have a championship type defense. They also remind me of that 2015 Denver Broncos team and I think they this defense propels them to the next level. All right, Colts paths. How do you see that shaking out? who punches their ticket to the AFC Championship. Now, this game would be in New England if it ended right now, right in the playoffs started. I actually think Indianapolis coach get it done because again, the run game travels. Uh, when you look at it, Daniel Jones, he has had some issues turning the ball over as of late, but Jonathan Taylor has been the best offensive weapon in football. Nobody has been able to slow him down even when they know he’s going to get the football. So you look at it, the Patriots do have a really good defense, but Jonathan Taylor can get things done. And then the way that Daniel Jones or or Indiana Jones when he’s playing like he’s playing, he’s able to get the ball to all his playmakers on the outside. And the thing is, you can never key in on one guy cuz it could be Michael Pitman one day. It could be Alex Pierce, could be Josh. You just never know who’s getting the ball. I have the Colts advancing and we talked about the Denver Broncos getting stronger on defense. They’ll be getting some players back as well on defense uh as the season progresses. Okay, so the AFC Championship Broncos Colts. Let’s go over to the NFC Championship where we have the Packers and the Eagles. Who advances here? This is a rematch that we saw in the wild card last year and I just think too many injuries for the Green Bay Packers. I know people will say, “Well, the Philadelphia Eagles DJ, they’ve really struggled on the offensive side. One thing they do pack is that defense and Vic Vanio and how they refortify that at the tread deadline. Getting a guy like Jaylen Phillips, also bringing in a savvy vet like Brandon Graham, this defensive line comes at you with waves. I think that’s what where they struggled earlier this year, Jacqueline. They didn’t have the subsequent depth because of guys like Milton Williams leaving and Josh Sweat leaving. Now they have the subsequent depth and you’re getting the best defensive line. And Adori Jackson actually had a really good game. He had kind of been picked on as that third quarter. Love that he actually played well. All right. And then we have Rams Bucks. You have the Rams moving forward. Tell us why. When you look at it, this Rams team, everybody talks about Matt Stafford and obviously he is the leading candidate for the MVP. He’s playing probably the best that he’s played in his career. The defense is the difference though on this team. Chris Schula and the way he’s been able to use some of these reclamation projects like Darius Williams at corner, Emanuel Forbes. A lot of people thought Emanuel Forbes was the bus. He’s playing like a at a Pro Bowl this year. So to me, I just think they have too much on offense and the defense is the difference in why the Rams advance. Okay, so on the AFC side, Broncos, Colts, NFC, Eagles, Rams. We’ll start with the AFC. Yeah. who is punching their ticket to the Super Bowl, neither of these teams have been there for a hot minute. It’s been a minute, right? Uh the last time the Broncos went, their defense kind of resembled this team right here. So, I have them advancing because of that. I like the Denver Broncos defense. Again, I talked about it. I know people will say, “No, JK Dobbins, you need the run game in the playoffs.” I believe they’ll get RJ Harvin and Jal McLaclin going. And also, Bo Knicks will be part of the run game. I don’t think people talk about that enough. Shawn Peyton likes to use his quarterback’s mobility. This defense is just out of this world. I think they will suffocate the Colts if the playoffs started right now. Okay, so who’s facing the Broncos or the Eagles making their way back to the Super Bowl? We’re going to see Matt Stafford and the Rams. Last time they were there, they beat Joe Cool in Cincinnati. So they did and we saw this matchup in a divisional round last year in the playoffs. And people were wondering, could Matt Stafford throw in the cold? Well, he proved he could throw in the cold, but I just like Vic Vanio’s defense too much. I think the the Eagles at home if the playoffs started right now would be too much. This would be a lowscoring game. We kind of saw the Seattle Seahawks get after the Rams. Let’s not forget the Rams forced the Seahawks to turn it over four times and that was still a game at the end. They still had an opportunity to win on a 61yd field goal. The Eagles defense is just as good as the Seattle Seahawks. So I’m going to lead towards the Eagles. We know Jaylen Herz is a winner. All he does is win. And if it’s third and one, fourth and one, the tush push is coming out. You’re not going to be able to stop it. But I lean because of Vicio’s defense. I think the Eagles get it done. Okay. So, it’s the battle of two great defenses and the Broncos and the Eagles here punching their ticket to the Super Bowl. Do the Eagles go back to back? What happens? You know, people would probably pulling their hair out if this is the matchup cuz we could get like a 710 game, which I would love because that’s high quality football. I think the Denver Broncos get it done. I know people will say the Eagles have been there before. They have an opportunity for back-to-back chances to win it. I just think this is a special defense. It reminds me so much of that 2015 defense. And that’s right right there. Guys coming off the edge at you in in bunches. Yes, they don’t have JK Dobbins, but they’ll be able to run the ball with Jal McGlin and RJ Harvey. And then when you look at it, Jacqueline, has there been a better fourth quarter quarterback than Bo Knicks? There hasn’t been in the NFL. They take the football away to get after the quarterback and they have a clutch quarterback when it matters the most. To me, that is the most important thing. Yes, Bo. Nixon struggled quarters one through three. He actually played really well versus Chiefs. But when we got to have it, those got to have it moments. Bo Nick has showed you throughout the year in the fourth quarter, he can get it done. And Boon Knicks is still a young quarterback. We can’t forget he has a lot to learn, a lot of football ahead of him. So there you have it. The prediction. Le Duzible thinking it’s the Broncos and the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
