AR is in elite company 💫

  1. Love Reaves but this seems like a weird and bad metric overall. For something measuring 3P Shooting, Mid Range and Finishing talent over the last season, you’d assume a large part would be efficiency + volume.

Tyrese Maxey shot 1.4% below league average TS% last season @ 26.3 PPG. He was comfortably below league average in FG%, 3P%, 2P% and eFG%. His mid range shooting is decent but not remotely noteworthy (43.8%) as a massive asset. The only reason why his efficiency even gets close to league average is his free throw generation.

Don’t get me wrong, Maxey had an excellent season when healthy in tough circumstances. Efficiency isn’t everything but this specific stat should key in on that aspect and it’s strange that they would place him there which makes me think their ‘talent’ assessments are basically random. Multiple names off hand I could think of which who did in every category.

All in all, sounds like a goofy metric to me.

  2. Whats absolutely nuts is I ALWAYS see him comparable to the top elite guards but people still say, we pay him too much, we need trade him! Lol
