REACTION: Closer Raisel Iglesias re-signs with the Braves (97 saves with Atlanta) 🔥

Hey, while you were watching something else last night, little news, a little bit of news and the Atlanta Braves liking Riceel Glacia so much over the last three and a half years that they decided to run it back. A one-year deal for Iggy. Finished the season with really strong numbers in Atlanta last year. 11 seasons in the big leagues. His best overall campaign came in a Braves uniform in 2024 when he recorded a career-high tying 34 saves with a sub two erra. As we mentioned, really good at the end of the season. Last year, the Braves are serious about getting it back in order. And I think uh bringing Iggy back as a bullpen piece likely to close is a great step in that direction. Yeah. No, and the Dodgers had shown a lot of interest in him, so that kind of forced some people to get it done. We’re getting deals done a lot earlier. The Naylor deal, this deal. Yeah, we watched Framber go to the owners meet to the GM meetings last week and have meet have meetings with them, right? Things are moving at a there’s there’s still going to be a couple of guys who hold on until right until January, February where we’re all kind of waiting around on. But this is this is a nice sign here for both sides. It’s different now. Um we’re seeing these one-year deals. It’s intriguing. Well, I mean, you got, you know, the CBA expiration date coming up in November of 2026. These are the numbers we talked about with Iggy in the last 27 games. I mean, yeah, he sure did. You know what I like about this though, Matt? Like, you look at those last 27 games, he figured something out and went back to the same team that helped him figure it out. So, it’s not like he’s going to be going to somebody else is saying, “Well, here’s what I was doing really well the last 27 games, right? He’s going to be able to pick up right where he left off and have the same coaching and get going. Although I’m assuming they’ll have the same coaching. There’s that 2024 season we talked about. That was his best season overall in Major League Baseball. Best of 11 seasons. Three times he has had 34 year 34 save years, but never with the good peripheral numbers like he had that season. Notice how the Ks per nine were down a little bit, but it just made for a more successful year from overall. I’m not all about the punchouts.
