But, let’s get to this one. between the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I don’t want to get copyright if I say this, but I’ve been waiting all day for Sunday night and uh I’ve been waiting all day for this game, too, because this is a fantastic matchup. A battle between division leaders. The Rams 8-2 on the year, 7-3 against the number this season. Coming off a fifth straight win in a 2119 win over the Seattle Seahawks in their last game, while Tampa Bay 6-4 on the year, 5-5 on the year against the number after a 4432 loss to the Buffalo Bills in their last game and have now lost three of their last four. And you know, the Buccaneers have been competitive in a lot of games this season. And you know, especially against teams when taking the step up in competition and taking the step up on the road. I mean, hell, we saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers going to Seattle, pick up a three-point win there. They almost beat the Philadelphia Eagles. This was easily a team that could have been on a six-game win streak going into that loss against the Detroit Lions about a month ago. And uh unfortunately, you know, they they they weren’t. They’ve uh you know dropped a couple games since, but I still think this is a quality Tampa Bay Buccaneers team. Now, they’re still trying to navigate their way through all these injuries, the laundry list of injuries. I mean, you’ve got Chris Godwin, who was a limited participant in practice. Sterling Shepard was a full participant. We’ll have to see if those guys end up going here. Acha Ibuka was a full participant. So, if they can get healthy, I think this is this is a uh you know, a Buccaneers team that you got to watch out for. They’re always a team that maybe gets a little bit overlooked because of how poor the NFC South has been in the last few seasons, but you know, Tampa Bay is no joke. Baker Mayfield is still a solid quarterback and can definitely, you know, take down some solid defenses. We’ve seen at times this season. Now, the Rams, they’re solid defensively, but they can be had through the air. And this is a uh a Tampa Bay offense that since Bucky Irving got injured, hasn’t necessarily run the football as much. They’ve kind of been more of a passing team despite all these injuries to their receiving core. And that’s where you can attack this Rams defense. The Rams 21st against the pass. They are solid in yards per completion, yards per attempt allowed this season, but they are giving up their fair share of passing yards per game and a high completion percentage rate. I think that Tampa Bay is going to have some success in this game. And also Baker Mayfield as an underdog in his career has been borderline money. I mean, he’s been really, really solid as an underdog. That’s where you usually want to back him, especially getting up and over a score. The Rams offensively, yeah, don’t get me wrong, it seems been solid, but you know, they had a close call last week against the Seattle Seahawks. There’s been other games where they picked up comfortable victories, but they’ve been taking advantage of good situations. They took advantage of a banged up San Francisco team. Yes, it was a division rivalry, but still got the win there. They beat up on the uh on the New Orleans Saints, who have been a disaster, the Jacksonville Jaguars in a horrible travel spot for the Jags. They also beat the Baltimore Ravens, who were on a backup quarterback and just weren’t healthy at the time. And we’ve also seen them play close games against teams like Houston, a one-score game against Indie. They lost to San Fran earlier this season as eight and a half point favorites at home. So for me, I think the value here is on Tampa Bay plus the seven and a half in this one. I think it’s going to be a a closer prime time game. I think this is a four-point game, three four-point game, whichever way you slice it. So I’m going to take Tampa Bay in the points in this one, and that’s going to be my free pick.
