Let’s go down to Romes. So, I I I know that we’re the pontificator of purple positivity, but there’s simply no way to sugarcoat this. That was the most embarrassing half of football that this team has ever seen. And it may be hyperbolic in the moment and recency bias and all that stuff, but I honestly don’t remember a single time when a team that’s this talented completely just rolled over and died, right? And I mean, sure, there’s been some tough Vikings teams, you know, that they were undertalented, but they fought the good fight. This was just a complete and utter no call, no show second half in all phases. And a lot of dudes were stealing money, stealing checks today, man. It was just the offensive line was terrible. McCarthy was bad. The play calling was atrocious. He got away from the run. The defense was borderline breaking. I mean, they gave up 13 points. second half should be able to overcome that. Miles Price and the special teams it was just an absolute embarrassment, right? And you’ve said that Kevin McConnell and Quy should be safe, right? That just coming off a 14- win season. They just got extensions, but you’ve lost five out of six. And the last few in the most embarrassing ways possible, you snatch defeat from the draws of victory against the Bears. Then you have this in a spot where you’re the healthiest you’ve been all year. And now you drop to four and seven. And the haters and the losers having a field there right now, right? And you know this this team has a whole lot of would a could a shoulda. And you know the Vikings have run hot in single score games in recent years. Not so much this year, but this was just an absolute train wreck embarrassment in the second half, right? And sort of is what it is. Yeah. All right. And I I I know that JJ McCarthy is going to get all the blame for this game. But why does Kevin McConnell get away from the run which has been dominant when you’re slightly behind all of a sudden? He’s like Bear Gillis. Oh, we’re down 11 points. Better drink my own piss when there’s tons of time left in the second half. Just don’t understand it. Retired vet life two bucks. Uh what’s worse than a no call no show? I think the plane left at halftime. Honestly, that that’s the case. Uh, butterbean two bucks. I mean, since I can’t remember, we always have a few games a year we don’t show up. Also, please fire coach hat. I beg all that matters uh is getting JJ experience. Like I said, I I know McCarthy is going to get all the blame in this game, but I mean JJ McCarthy is not blocking Micah Parsons. Did he hang on to the ball too long at times? Sure. But also, what’s the reason why he’s hanging on to the ball? Uh, is there too many long developing plays downfield where you don’t have the offensive line to protect? Where have we seen that before? That’s Kevin McConnell’s MMO, man. I mean, you you could piss him on all you want about quick and easy throws. What if those aren’t schemed up or what if those are taken away by the defense, right? Because the defense gets a vote, too, man. Because you always got to think, what are defenses doing? They’re stacking the line of scrimmage, daring JJ McCarthy to throw deep. So when he throws deep cuz that’s what’s open sometimes it doesn’t work out. And you know the first McCarthy interception Justin School in a left tackle cuz Darasaw’s hurt again. And you know Rashan Gary Ran Gary’s garbage by the way. But he grabs onto JJ’s arm and then this is just a perfect encapsulation for what’sever for everything that’s going on. Two plays perfect encapsulation. So JJ gets his arm hit and the ball goes directly to a Packers defender, McDuffy I think it was. So instead like other teams like hey quarterback’s arm gets hit. All right little strip sack action. You know the ball falls harmlessly to the ground incomplete. Well maybe not a strip sack but uh you know obviously his arm is moving forward but you know falls incomplete nine times out of 10 for the Vikings directly towards a defender who can’t catch but somehow catches that one. And then the Vikings on the next drive, they force a fumble and it bounces right into the gut of Packers offensive lineman. So that’s basically everything this year. Last year the Vikings got the ball bounces. This year not so much. All right. The the second McCarthy pick was all on him. That was bad. That was bad, man. Fully understand. Uh squad five bucks. I thought I I thought I thought got we couldn’t get any worse after last week. And like I said, hold my beer. That’s very fair. Kelly, uh, again, this live stream just jumps around while I’m trying to read questions. Kell Regasses 14 Bucks. Parsons owns Darasaw. Get hawk out of there. I know he’s young, but JJ has shown nothing to make me feel good about him. We’ve been in the playoff team in the 80s with 8% of other quarterbacks in the league. Fire Matt Daniels. Well, I mean, we had Carson Wentz and that didn’t really inspire confidence here, but you look at the way that Jamus is operating, man. We had Jameson’s side of Carson Wentz. Yeah. Yeah. Uh Derek Baker 20 bucks. I should not blame McCarthy for this loss. Vikings lost the game in the trenches. A season dominated by injuries, mental errors. Uh Eric Wilson only addition who has earned his paycheck. Absolutely. Because we did up, you know, we’re talking about the Jonathan Allen contract, Javon Hargrave contract, and then uh Jaylen Redmond contract because honestly there’s only a fistful of Vikings players who didn’t quit today. You you could probably count them on one hand. Wilson, Jaylen Redmond were among them. That’s it. Uh who could it be now? Five bucks, four yards in the second half. I’m out of words. This is rock bomb territory. Yeah, offense have minus 27 yards in the second half. And you can play JJ all you want. He’s the one out there executing, but you know, why is McCarthy being put in a situation by Kevin McConnell where it’s like, oh, pass, pass, pass, straight drop backs in the shadow of your own end zone. Got Michael Parsons out there wrecking Darasaw. Yeah. Uh Adam Parsons also took out Diamond Jackson’s knee too. Great. Shane Nelson Fab Bucks. Who is that fault for this? Do we blame JJ? Coach is whom? I’m sick and tired of rooting for a team that never gives what we put into this team. Well, uh if the rule of thumb is that the head coach or the quarterback always gets to blame, the head coach deserves all the blame, right? Because like like we said, there’s too many times where this team just no calls, no shows. And you can go back and take a look at the tape and, you know, try and stack up good days all you want, but at the bottom line, this team just came out flat. Uh, and the run game was busting early. I almost said busting. Uh, but they’re busting out. They’re getting some big time holes. The offensive line was looking good. And then it’s like, hey, let’s stop doing that. I I wish we had a count. Like, how many carries did they have in the second half? Like four, maybe. And the defense, the defense just hasn’t had any juice all year. And even when Gernard was out there, too, it just seems like they’ve been lacking. And it’s something, it’s more than just, well, they don’t have Beey, but I don’t know, just the swagger they had last year getting after the quarterback, causing havoc, just not there. Just not there, man. Uh Jake Loft is five bucks. Honestly, lost a lot of faith in Kevin McConnell this year. I think he’s lost the locker room. How else can you explain these no-shows? Which is fair. Joseph McShane 10 bucks. Quay has drafted one starter not counting a kicker in 28 selections. If we can’t grade McCarthy this early career, we can’t consider him a starter either. Quy is the problem. I mean, at a certain point, it does stack up, right? And also, the last couple of drafts for Spielman outside of Jefferson, uh, Matelus and Darasaw were not good either. So, I mean, it’s a institutional thing. You know, last year’s free agent class is great. This year, not so much. Yeah. Um, Sean Sean Spec two bucks. This team is so taken. Give me a break. What’s taken mean? Uh, how far can I go? Two bucks. I should have took Knicks over JJ. Oh, it’s easy to say now. Bick’s also 97 years old. Uh, Chris Wy two bucks. Okal not to blame. NFL quarterbacks need to throw. Okay. All right. Uh Knocks the the Drexs. Nah, man. JJ doesn’t have it. It’s bro show time. Well, today certainly does not help. You know, McCarthy had a fistful of good completions, but other than that, just like hanging on to the rock, refusing to scramble when it was clearly there. Second interception. Uh so State Soldier, five bucks. We cannot continue to say JJ is anything but terrible. Even Nuke shine for a moment. Well, I mean, he’s had some shining moments except the the luster of those are certainly dissipating rather quickly. All right. And I I I don’t know if the answer is the bro show, UDFA, QB that you hope is going to be something, but I don’t know, man. Uh Fighty Fatty at this point, the whole season is just about developing. JJ, it’s correct. But man, there’s just a cavalcade of of errors this year, right? And obviously, you know, McCarthy’s had high highs. You know, the Bears game, the Lions game, but I mean, this one is just like you want to help out your young quarterback. Miles Price, don’t get hit by the ball. Defense, get the get the ball back. Uh, stop the run. Offense, stop drop. He had two more drops today on top of six, you know, last week. Kevin Con, don’t get away from the dominant running game where your offensive line is moving forward. And JJ McCarthy, don’t throw that second pick. How about that? I mean, there just so much there’s so much bad about this team right now, which stinks because it’d be one thing if the Vikings were the Giants or the Saints where you expected them to be bad. But the Vikings on paper on purpose, I mean, they were supposed to be revved up, ready to go. And yes, as we said, it’s a three-year Super Bowl window with JJ McCarthy, but I mean, it still sucks when when one season just kaput. Actually, I think the Vikings might be eliminated from playoff contention. Or it might be like point4% like the West Phillips or something. I don’t know. The Irish American two bucks here 2026 goal. Uh, I mean it it it really sucks to say that it’s not even Thanksgiving, but I mean might not be wrong in that regard, but I don’t know, man. I don’t know. Uh, nice things. I mean, Will Racker crushed it. It’s good to see. Uh, Ryan Wright uh, was definitely made of the right stuff today. Eric Wilson didn’t give up. Jaylen Redmond didn’t give up. Diamond Dallas Turner had another splash play again. stringing together a really couple nice g couple couple nice games it just like you know Gernard’s been hurt understandable but even before that like Gernard leaving the league in almost sacks where’s the Andrew Vano splash plays he got paid by the way you know where’s Telus Matelis where’s Theo Jackson I know that Harrison’s passed it where’s Cashman right just you’re waiting for someone to step up to be a hero And it hasn’t happened. I mean, you know, Murphy had six quarterback interceptions last year, tied to the league lead. He’s got zero this year. I don’t even I don’t even think that Murf has flirted with a pick. I don’t know. It’s just honestly, this is therapeutic, by the way. It was very good because in a in a spot where there’s really not much to say. And you you look back on the season, the Falcons was a no call, no show. The the Chargers was a no call, no show. Second half of the Packers game, no call, no show. Might even say the first half, but and then there was a lot of would a could have, should have. Should have beat Philly. Should have beat Baltimore. Should have beat Chicago. Should have beat the Steelers. Yeah. Yeah. Jake Loftess five bucks. Al Lewis implies the vibes have been off uh since spring yet he waits till now to bring this up. I I remember him saying that in the fall early in the fall though. So, you know, give credit to Alec Claus. Like it I don’t know. Like it’s got to be more than just Beey, right? But I don’t know. Maybe the mixture of homegrown talent versus mercenary free agents hasn’t been there. But I don’t know, like you know, the Vikings are four and seven. You can find a pathway for the Vikings to get a win in four of these games, four of the losses, but three were just inexcusable. Like 0% chance of winning. Why even bother showing up sort of deals? You know, the the Falcons game, even though that was a one-sore game in the fourth quarter, the Chargers game, and then this and now you’re on the road in Seattle. Cool. So, what initially started off as a November to remember, you know, beating Detroit on the road seems like years ago, right? But, you know, three straight losses, potentially looking at four. Sort of is what it is, right? But, you know, positive take away from this season. Well, we got six games and they’ll go a long way to determine if JJ McCarthy is going to be the guy or not or if the Vikings have to go fish. I don’t think that they would draft a quarterback high, but I guess never say never. I mean, chosen Rosen, Josh Rosen was a number 10 overall pick. He got replaced after a year after the Cardinals got Kyler. Apparently, they’re wrong on both counts. Oh, sorry. Vikings legend Josh Vau or Josh Rosen. Chris Wy FBucks. McCarthy has to learn NFL game speed. Happy to let a quarterback develop, but we can’t do that if we only run. He has to learn fast. One more game than Bros. Uh Ewoki five bucks. Uh we’re going to lose against the commies and the Cowboys. Then put N9 uh put out N9 with the 14th overall pick. I don’t know, man. like at at a certain point, you know, the draft pick is what it is, and obviously the players and the coaches aren’t intentionally going to lose games, but it’ll work itself out how it works out. But I thought Quy sucks at drafting anyway, so what’s the point of having a higher draft pick, man, just what a mess and a debacle and just a disappointment. Like most Vikings fans, like they just want 17 regular season games and some playoffs. Maybe make a run one time to just entertain them in the fall and winter. Bring a little bring a little joy to their life. But wait, Addison didn’t have a catch today, did he? Addison had one target. Addison had one target. Hawinson had like this offense. I don’t know what it is. Is it is Okonnell babying McCarthy? Is Okonnell putting too much on McCarthy’s plate? It’s hard to find that balance. But yeah, this is not a functional NFL offense right now. And it’s more than just McCarthy. A lot of it’s McCarthy, but it’s more than just McCarthy right now. And there’s a lot of blame to go around. And I’m sure it’s going to be dished out. Like this is not going to be a fun week uh for the discourse of this team, but it’s deserved, right? Uh it was a big time week for the haters and losers, man. Uh Broccolini roll two bucks. Uh you feel lack of preseason play has killed us? [Music] No, because you can always look to find like confirmation bias one way or the other or uh like the Rams. Sean Mcan the Rams like they rarely if ever play their starters in preseason. They’re doing all right. So I I don’t think it’s specifically that but something that you know people can latch on to. Oh, he didn’t do good. He didn’t play in preseason. There it is. Who could it be five Bucks? Uh this team needs identity. I don’t know what they are besides disappointing. It’s kind of fair. Honestly, pick up Jeremiah Love and let’s run the piss out of the football. Right. And I don’t know. Do we go back to the 4-3? I don’t know. There’s a lot of uh they’re just reaching for answers right now. I don’t know if there’s any answers. And I’ll say this. So, I thought that Quy and Kevin McConnell are safe no matter what because, you know, 14 win season, you know, Okonnell has a 13 to 14 win season on his resume, won the division, but at a certain point, the the lack of development of players has to bother ownership, right? Because you look at Bradberry, Ed Ingram, you look at Mai Blackman, you look at Nan Wright who just had another interception. At a certain point, like, hey, you have to get the right players in here. Yes. But you have to develop them. And so many former Vikings are finding quick success early and elsewhere. That makes you wonder about coaching and development. All right. And even though Quay and Kevin do have those extensions, there’s a lot of offset language in them. And I’m not sure 100% that they’re safe because if you go from a 14- win season to whatever this one’s going to end up as, you know, lost five out of your last six, just complete and utter embarrassment against a division rival. I don’t think anyone’s safe. I think all bets are off and you don’t know what’s going to happen. Uh Derek W two bucks. What up? Butterbean five bucks. Dan Campbell couldn’t call plays. There was Ben. Is it time for Kevin Khan? Give it up. They got to figure out something. Oh yeah, they got to figure out something because at a certain point you’re just standing on the deck of the Titanic. They got to do something. Lions potentially forcing overtime. Actually, Jameus got 28 seconds and three timeouts. So, I guess you never know. Oo, Steelers trying to get something done. I don’t know.
