Saddiq Bey Interview | Pelicans-Hawks Postgame 11/22/25
James B talk a lot about the defensive aggression in forcing turnover 20 in the last two games not as so much tonight. What was kind of the difference you think tonight? They was capitalizing off some of our turnovers and bad shots and um and then you know for us we try to you got to get back in transition. You know, I think they killed us in that end of the floor that helped them stretch the lead out and like the sometimes NBA schedule just falls this way, but how tough is it when you got five games and seven nights and guys in and out the lineup and dealing with stuff like that? Yeah, it’s definitely tough, but you know, it’s what we asked for. You know, we it’s what I can speak for myself. This what I dreamed of doing my whole life. So, uh I ain’t playing too much, but obviously it’s tough, you know, five and seven, but uh you know, that’s next up in mentality and everyone has to be ready to go. I just seeing, you know, three three rookies in the starting lineup just has allowing those guys to get that opportunity. How big has that been the past couple weeks with those guys just get kind of getting thrown in the fire and, you know, getting a chance to mature? It’s good, man. The best, uh, teachers experience in my opinion. So, I think them having a chance to go play a lot of a lot of minutes, heavy minutes as rookies, um, you know, is is great. You know, not not all rookies get get a chance to do that. U, so it’s definitely, uh, going to be good for them for the future. Mr. Do you have to worry at all about the young guys having them play so many minutes but yet they’re enduring a lot of losing something they’re probably not used to in their careers until getting to the NBA. Do you guys have to take particular focus to that? Talk to them things like that. Um interesting question. I would say I think they getting experience obviously we all want to win um but I think them getting that experience is going to be real valuable for them for the future. Obviously you know we we all come in from winning programs majority in college right? So, uh, but I think just clearly as a unit, uh, we’re coming together and got to continue to help each other.
