STOVE STOVE STOVE
Wait who left the stove on
Wtf we traded our child of God
🙁
PASSAN BOMB
This is either going to go really well for the Mets or it will blow up beautifully in their faces
Dang I don’t recognize my WS team no more 😔
PRAISE STOVE
One man’s trash is another man’s trash
What the fuck I always thought he’s a Met for life. I dont understand this
This is crazy Nimmo has been a Met as long as I remember
Welcome distraction from this cowboys game lol. (Edit: not a distraction anymore lol).
Will always remember that home run in Arizona in game 5, though. Was great to have Marcus as a Ranger.
Oh now thats interesting, replacement for adolis for texas and an everyday 2B for the mets
Gonna be honest: Idk how I feel about this one.
Well that’s weird
Cool. Love Semien and his leadership, but this is fine with me.
Am I just hating or is this an extremely lateral move
WTF I both hate and don’t hate this

Wow! The entire 2023 WS team is almost completely gone. Seager, Jung, Carter (if he’s healthy) are the only batters left, right?
Rangers. Enjoy a child of god
This one of those moments I’m so greatful we won it all in 2023, because unless you are the Dodgers, your window can close so quickly.
What the fuck….
As rough as Nimmo was this year I’m gonna miss him
What a weird trade for the Mets. Semien is making more money than Nimmo, is older, and had a below-average OPS+ last year (and at age 35 odds are it won’t get better). Plus, the Mets have a glut of IF with Acuna, Baty, Vientos, Lindor, McNeil.
This one hurts. Thanks for everything Brandon
Interesting trade. I guess McNeil is gone for the Mets?
Was it too much to get deGrom back? /s
Mets improve their run prevention, save 45 million across 2028-2030, free up space in their OF for a better player AND get less LHB heavy.
They moved from a position of strength (run scoring) to improve a position of need (run prevention) by acquiring Semien’s glove.
And I loved Nimmo and wanted him to be a lifer but it’s not nearly as simple as “Mets got older and worse.”
The Mets simply could not keep running out this slow (and getting slower) outfield for the next few years. I bet they don’t care much about getting Semien – if they get one decent year out of him it’s a win. I think it’s all about freeing up the OF spots to get more athletic.
