To all of you who spent the entire game thread complaining about Caleb.

This win goes to Dennis Allen and the D line.
Casuals can contextualize anything outside the final score or who the ball was held by or went to last. My only really issue with him was that last 3rd down, go down, fuck.
He threw for 239 yards and three touchdown passes. What’s there to complain about?
He had some inexcusable mental lapses that were uncharacteristic of him… and we still won. I see that as an overall plus for the team tbh
Or Rome’s drop that wasn’t a drop. Or Sweat. Or punting from their own 40. Or running the ball at the end of the game.
The low football IQ on display in r/ChiBears game threads should be studied.
You can be happy with the win and general play but also criticize areas where he can improve. I dont understand why this sub makes both mutually exclusive?
He is still wildly inaccurate and makes boneheaded decisions like the incomplete pass on 4th versus taking a sack.

Roaches back under the fridge another week. He had some bad ones but if I see one more Tebow comment ima flip my shit lol
He had some misses, but I’ve watched Goff and Mahomes miss some layups today too. Nobody is perfect
He had an odd game today. Terrible turnover and missed a lot of wide open intermediate throws again. But also had 3 TDs and had the offense largely in the flow state until late in the 4th
Mixed bag from Caleb today. He had bad plays and good plays.
I was super impressed with this win, our defense is banged up and we beat a contender. Let’s face it, Rodgers isn’t close to himself anymore and not playing him doesn’t tarnish this at all for me. 🐻
Once you realize every teams game thread is a doomer cesspit when mistakes happen, you learn to not go in that said cesspit
Only this franchise has their 2nd year QB throw 3 touchdowns and it’s all about the negative. Yall think he’s gonna get worse? I see 16 tds and 4 picks, the details will improve down the road.
I watch the Bears at a bar where you’d think Caleb is the worst QB in the league and we are 0-11. It is very tiring
Tbf some of those wide open misses could have made this one easier today. Not to mention the sack fumble TD he had

I want to love Caleb, I really do, but he struggles with the easy stuff. He’s amazing when shit hits the fan, but 3rd and 4, someone wide open right in front of him, he puts it in the dirt. We’re winning, and at the end of the day that’s what matters. But damn it’d be nice if he’d just start hitting the easy stuff.
I thought Caleb played well today, but even I was wondering about the play clock penalty and that 3rd down throw on last possession. He’s allowed to make mistakes though, I guarantee he’s harder on himself than any couch potato in this Reddit.
He was good today, much better than last week. Ofcourse some terrible mistakes here and there, if we would’ve lost I wouldn’t put too much blame onto caleb
The talent is there and in spades, and I think the gap between what he consistently does vs. his talent invites the critique. He’s improved considerably since year one but they’d be pretty dominant if he could be more accurate (like average or a bit above average) and hit receivers in stride consistently.
A win is a win though. 8-3!

The funnier thing I saw was people bitching about the D like we weren’t on our Backups’ Backups’ Backups lmao
they’re so mad he helped pull off the win. ignore his 3TDs (and 31 points) it was all DA and the defense that won this
I liked the red zone touchdown passes

of the field have been rather good lately
The way they complain you would think we had JJ McCarthy out there
I thought it was one of his better games. Completion percentage wasn’t ideal. But he looked more in command and control.
One of the dumbest fan bases in the country.
He’s a 2nd year QB with 16 td’s and FOUR interceptions. He has TWO lost fumbles. ALL season. Did you see the bad pick 6 MAye threw today? The bad interception from Mahomes inside his 10? He has a top 5 arm in the league and is top 3 in athleticism for a QB. He’s a play maker and sometimes shit happens. But anyone complaining about him is a meatball. And what’s crazy is how many of them are “top 1 % posters”. Instead of continually posting their idiotic nonsense on here, they really should watch the tape and educate themselves about what a difference making QB actually looks like.
Yes, he can be more accurate and I’m positive he will be but if you’re bitching about him after a game where he just threw 3 TDs and no interceptions, I think you are pretty miserable and should take a break from posting online.
I don’t get the logic of being overly harsh on Caleb. It would make sense if we were like the browns with an elite defense but can’t score more than 16 points again but our offense scores 31 points while our running game struggled and Caleb is what we’re worried about?
Baffles me. People acting like we have a long tradition of great QBs
its crazy how there are still weirdos here in the comments complaining and acting like he was awful lol say what you want but that TD drive that came after the fumble was the perfect way to respond and that is an extremely positive sign
