In 14 total games for Cincinnati, Burton compiled 4 receptions for 107 scoreless yards. On January 3, 2025, it was announced that Burton would not be traveling with the team to Pittsburgh to play in their season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a coach’s decision.
We had two 3rd round picks and used one on a 1st round talent that fell due to character concerns. On paper the Bengals are the perfect environment for him. He has a superstar QB to catch passes from, and two superstar WRs to learn from. Him refusing to put in the effort to grow up and be a mature productive player two years later doesn’t mean it was a bad pick on draft day, and it’s peak reddit Dunning-Kruger that we keep seeing these posts.
Jesus it’s one third round pick lol. Zac sucks for a lot of reasons as does the org, but picking a first round talent after he slides isn’t one of those reason. I’m not gonna blame them for Burton’s inability to take football seriously
