Lamar Jackson: ‘We Just Gotta Keep It Going’ | Baltimore Ravens

So, after a one in five start, five straight wins, and now you’re the Ravens are tied with the Steelers at top the AFC first place. Just how does that feel to go from one one extreme to now be in first place? Uh feel great, you know. Um wish we was in a better situation, you know, but uh five five and0 keep we got to just keep it going, man. Uh it’s a tough division, tough league. Um, like I said, we just got to keep going. Marble, why why couldn’t you guys get it rolling in the first half? Need to execute better. Um, a lot of things, you know, I feel just got to put points on the board, man. Our defense playing lights out for the last few weeks. Um, started played good in Miami, you know, uh, but the last few weeks, I feel like we need to put more points on the board and execute drives. Does it get frustrating to see what the defense has done from the start they had, especially the last five or six games and then special teams as well to not get that complete dominant team win from your side of the ball? Uh, yeah, a little bit because, you know, this it’s our job, you know, I’m offensive guy. You know, I’m not playing defense. It’s great to see our defense playing great, but it it’ll also feel great and look great when we playing as well, you know, to match their energy. And we just need to do that, you know, week in week out because those guys stepping up, we need to do the same thing. Has there been a game yet since you’ve come back from injury where you kind of feel like, okay, I’m fully myself. I’m fully healthy. I’m fully ready to compete the way, you know, we’ve seen you compete over the last few years. Uh, I can’t call it, you know, but I’m out there, so I feel like I should still be able to do what I do. How much did the ankle bother you at all today? I mean, it was obviously taped up a good bit, but did it hinder you at all? No, it it was it was pretty solid. You know, for the most part, it was pretty solid. So, Lamar, do do you feel injuries are holding you back or holding this offense back in a way because you’re not able No, no, I don’t think that at all. You know, I feel like we just need to execute, you know, uh, a lot better. Um, we get in great field position, but we’re not putting points on the board. You know, that have nothing to do with no injury. We just need to put points on the board right there. when when you guys kind of struggled from the outset. Was you obviously went to Z a bunch after that? Was did that help you find a rhythm throwing the ball? Um I feel like we found a rhythm running the ball as well. You know, Darren her hitting gaps. Katon had one even though it got called back later in the game. Um but I feel like when we playing how we play on our level, everything looks good. You know, why why do you think you you guys have what’s like what’s held you back from executing on offense, do you think? At least for today. What do you think held you guys back? Uh some missed opportunities sometime, you know, uh weaknesses in the defense. I feel like we should take advantage of that. We we just did. Okay. Thanks,

Quarterback Lamar Jackson on building offensive consistency, bouncing back from a 1-5 start and more.

  1. Lamar doesn't look right in the pocket or even rushing outside the pocket. I'm not saying the OLine is 100% at fault but Lamar seems slower this year on his reads.

  2. What’s holding us back? The whole fan base knows, reporters know, analysts know. The only one who does not know, is our head Coach. It’s our O Line John Harbough! Jesus, will you wake up and put your ego away, and make the necessary changes on the line to give Lamar some time. Lamar never has any time. He is constantly having to scramble and run for his life. Fix it or , again we will that goes nowhere in the playoffs.

  3. Thankful for the W, but this team won’t go far if Monken is not going to use LJs running ability properly. He’s supposed to use LJs running ability to create space in the run and pass game. Especially short yardage, teams are keying DH and setting a wall and Monken has not adjusted ALL year. This is a MAJOR PROBLEM. He has to force teams to respect LJ as a runner. Right now, teams are not respecting that aspect and it’s making defense against us easier. But in general, the O is bland and predictable. Very little movement of the pocket on passing plays, no LJ involvement in the DESIGNED run game, no pre-snap movement, very little misdirection post snap. It’s difficult to watch. And the fix is relatively simple. Smh.

  4. Yo, we went from p10 to p4 today. Ugly win but W’s all count the same. 3 straight division games, we can end Cincy’s season Thursday and the dagger in 3 weeks. With Shittsburgh in between 😡
