Boogie & Lou on Can’t SUGARCOAT Sacramento Kings Rebuild! WORST Sports Franchise?? – PANIC BUTTON

All right, we’re sticking with the panic, but it’s kind of crazy how time flies, right? We’re just talking about Jaw two, three years ago, face of the league potentially. Sacramento Kings, we’re lighting the beam. Felt like 20 minutes ago, and now here we are. It’s three and eight start. You got the light switch. Lighting the beam. You steal the beam. Uh bottom five defense in the league. Chant fans are chanting we want Keon Ellis due to his lack of playing time. We got Russell Westbrook out there, which is always fun. He’s got triple doubles as a starter. Move to the bench. Like, it’s kind of chaotic. Um, are we smashing the panic button on the Kings? I think they’ve done it theirelves. I mean, obviously they’re now reporting that they’re looking to, you know, trade key pieces or, you know, the main guys on the team right now. So, I think they hit the panic button before us. So, so we don’t we just Okay, we’ll reiterate it. Yeah. By the way, we’re talking Zack Lavine, Devarna Rosen trading again. Like, this is not cool. But I’m also cool with it for them to get out. Yeah. them my personal partners and and at this stage in their careers, I want them to be happy and I want them to have a real opportunity to compete at a high level being in the third and fourth quarters of their careers and and so if the Sacramento Kings are looking to trade them, that tells me they’ve panicked. Why shouldn’t I panic? Fair enough. You dig? I mean, what about Sabonis? Like I feel like you could have done that last year. Like this this could have been a trade that has already I mean when you got rid of Fox, I feel like you know that was a time to start the rebuild. at least get something back for both of them. But, you know, they tried to keep it afloat. They thought they had a good team, could, you know, add a couple more pieces and keep, you know, moving forward. But, it’s just not the case. Um, I don’t even like speaking on the Kings cuz some reason whatever I say is taken as if I’m bitter or whatever. I Hey, I’mma just keep the facts. The facts. It’s It’s bad. It’s been bad. It’s probably going to continue to be bad unless some things change at the top. DC, that’s See, that’s your prop. See, that’s I mean, I don’t know what else to say. I I can’t I can’t sugarcoat it. Hey, it’s The Kings have a great fan base. I like that. Yes, that’s a plus. That’s a plus. I think that’s important for you to make that distinction. Oh, I love the I love the Kings fan base because the fan that’s a real fan base to me. Whenever you team, the fans think you talking about them. No, never. Great fans. They stick with you through thick and thin. Obviously, they’re good fans. It’s been 20 years of losing and they’re still filling the building up. So, it shows you how much support these fans are have for this team. All they’re looking for is a winning product. And, you know, I still follow a lot of, you know, Kings pages and things like that. And it’s a lot of outrage and and deservingly so. But, like I said, I can’t say too much because I’m the bitter ex, but the facts are the facts. Facts are facts. Whether you like them or not, 18 years it’s been since they’ve won a playoff series. They’ve had these guys go through those doors. Darren Fox, Tyresese Hallebert, and DaVon Mitchell, and they’re all quite well. They’re doing well in this league, uh, as of now, which doesn’t make things look better. Um, and looking across the sports world, like as far as poorly run organizations, I I look, I hate to do a top five, that seems really macob, but they’re up there. I mean, that is that is a long run without a playoff win. And, as you said, a fan base that continues to stick by them. I don’t know what changes that you allude to other than I don’t know. Obviously, the changes are at the top. I mean, every good organization, it starts at the top. It It doesn’t ownership or Yes. It doesn’t start with play. No matter how much y’all want to try to push that nerve, it starts at the top. And the top don’t have it together, so the bottom’s not going to be together. Simple as that. There was that run. We were lighting a beam, you guys. We lit a beam. What happened? We lit a few. We did. We lit a few. And I like I like what Doug Christie was was doing when he when he initially got that job. He tried to bring some morale, tried to bring some new and excitement, some new energy, and tried to build community by by creating, you know, light the beam thing and got the guys on the roof of the building and all of that. You’re trying to build culture. I I respect that, but we hadn’t heard a lot about lighting beams lately. And so, at that point, to Boogie to Boogie’s point, you got to start looking at the top because the talent’s been there. I just feel like when they had their opportunity to to turn, they made the playoffs that year, like the beam. That next season or going into that next season, nothing was done to improve the team. Everybody in the West improved except the Kings. They they stayed the same and then things started to go backwards. So, I’m not sure. I I I don’t know what the the vision is. I I I don’t think they should have ever fired Mike Brown. Should have never got rid of De’Aran Fox. It’s just some things you got to tweak. it was a team that was that wasn’t performing like they were the year before. So, you tweak it, you add better pieces, you do things of that nature to to continue to improve. They went the opposite direction. They got rid of Fox, they got rid of the coach, and these are the results. It’s so frustrating as a fan when you can like, oh, it’s we’re getting somewhere and then all of a sudden it’s just yanked away. It’s almost like they they settled. It was like, all right, we you know, we’re we’re happy just making the play. Yeah. Nobody’s happy. And then it was nothing else after that. That’s that’s not how it works. You continue to build. All right, taking a quick break. Wrapping things up on the other side. I almost did it too early. That was

  1. I have been a kings for about three weeks and Kings fans are without a doubt the worst fan base I have ever experienced. I just thank the lord above that I live in Gainesville, Florida and not within arms reach of a “kings fan”

  2. talent is not there, they cant guard chairs, at the moment Russ is 1 of their most consistent players, thats sayin a lot. They made every wrong choice, worst of all choosing fox over Tyrese, even worse trading for Sabonis.. every move they made was wrong, even when they manage to luck into something they F-it up. Theyre definitely top 3 worst franchise in the NBA, maybe even number 1. Cause even Wizards had a bit of success with beal and wall, Nets with KD and rest.. Kings hadnt done anything since Peja and Divac played there. I was a youngster back then.

  3. Let’s not pretend we were 1 piece away from success. Let’s help the young guys and demand change. Keep Christie and let him find the toughness and grit he knows

  4. I've been a Kings fan all my life. They don't try to win, they sell us merch. We buy it, we fill the building. Thats the "win" for them. You're not salty Boogie, they did you the dirtiest. We still love you bro!

  5. Kings fan here…. I think they should have never included Chicago in the fox trade and just bring in the expiring jones and Collins contracts. Including Chicago in the deal just to bring in Lavine to make a play in appearance, with the hope of getting an 8th seed to get swept by the champs was the worst idea Anjali… I mean Monte… I mean Vivek ever came up with

  6. This may honestly go down as the Kings worst season ever, and that's insane considering they have been losing for 40+ years. Its not fun to watch their games this year, there is no excitement this season and theres nothing to look forward to except Keon, whos barely getting minutes. This year's team is straight awful too, its a bunch of vets refusing to play defense and not melding well, with Malik and Keon somehow carrying these guys every damn game but then barely getting minutes. I turn on the TV every other night to watch us lose by 50 to the Grizzlies without 6 of their starters, then every post game interview is our coach actually wilting away. Ownership set Coach DC up to fail with this roster and it seems like they are instructing him who needs to get minutes. I hate being a fan of this franchise sometimes

  7. Cousins fighting with his kings coaches because HE'S PASSIONATE AND….. MISUNDERSTOOD 😂😂😂 "Misunderstood" cr@p excuses.

Cousins was the franchise player. Fox was the franchise player.

Maybe you FRANCHISE players needs to take MORE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE "WORST FRANCHISE" TAG😂

The nba refs hated Cousins. Maybe try to be a PROFESSIONAL. Know that the nba coaching staffs across the league TALKS to the refs. All the coaches has to do is TELL the refs to eff with Cousins. Why. Because Cousins was an a-hole to his kings coaches.

Of course, you FRAUD FAILURE FRANCHISE PLAYERS won't 😂😂😂

  8. I think Cousins made his former kings coaches Keith Smart, Wespaul and Bobby Jackson cry. Cousins is probably the only player in nba history that made his coaches cry, becuase they had to put up with his crybaby immaturity (or his passion😂)

Because, he was just PASSIONATE AND MISUNDERSTOOD in the locker room, practice and on the court during the game 🤡
