Roob’s thoughts after the game

  1. Does Lurie respect Reuben? I’m praying to God someone will get through to him. He shouldn’t care about the fucking optics of changing a godawful OC. Go poach the most promising college coordinator right now.

  2. the complicating factor here is KP and Nick are best friends

Howie should’ve never let this happen after 2023

  3. Roob is usually positive.

“if Patullo keeps calling plays, this team is not going to win the Super Bowl” is not something he’d say lightly.

  4. I think I agree. This team has the talent to win a Super Bowl for sure. But Patullo and Sirianni’s offensive philosophy is so pathetic and conservative that we are guaranteed to lose a playoff game to any team that plays aggressive on offense.

Bring in an offensive consultant to call plays or the ceiling is an ignominious divisional round exit against a team with a real playcaller.

  5. >”In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the *right* thing, the next best thing is the *wrong* thing, and the worst thing you can do is *nothing*.”

    – Theodore Roosevelt

  6. They had 42 minutes to score 6 points and couldn’t. They honestly probably win if they have more sustained drives instead of three and outs

    Just inexcusable

  7. Everything he said is spot on. At this point give the ex Bowling Green coach a shot at calling plays. Just like Roob said they can’t be that worse, and imo Nick has to do SOMETHING. A real OC would’ve iced that game away ages before it got that far.

If we don’t repeat KP and the offence will be looked back at as the sole reason why.

  8. Yea these route concepts and offense is just so uninspiring. At times Hurts had forever to throw the ball and no one was open, you mean to tell me Brown, Smith, and Goddert can’t get open against one of the worst defenses in the league. They scored on 25 plays and after that it was shit. Dude has go to go.

  9. 1000% true. And no matter what they say in public, everyone in the organization knows it. Including Nick. So what’s he gonna do about it?

  10. Win the Super Bowl? This team isn’t going to get out of the first round of the playoffs if they don’t figure it out.

This is a wasted year for no reason.

  11. 1. We deserve all the criticism we’re about to get all week. The only silver lining is that it’s Thanksgiving week. 2. There’s NO WAY Eagles go to the SB with this lackluster offense.

    3. Why can’t our offense design plays with YAC? All our pass plays are curls or out routes where additional yards are impossible. Just saw KC highlights, that offense throws in stride, tons of YAC.

    4. We’re a terrible offense.

  12. Doug won the superbowl and brought in Mike Groh and Press Taylor.

Nick made the Super Bowl and brought in Brian Johnson, then wins and brings in Patullo.

Feels like the thing most likely to stop the Eagles is the Eagles

  13. I think we need to turn our focus and hate towards Kellen Moore. Why did you leave us baby

  14. The media needs to stop hounding AJ this week and start hounding the ever living shit out of Nick about installing a new play caller. For fucks sake the worst part about the AJ thing is it took heat off of Patullo

  15. i agree for the most part.

but we have to admit that the saquon and gipson fumbles as well as the plethora of false start calls is what killed us.

patullo is the biggest gripe for all of us but there’s a lot of blame to go around today.

  16. Been saying it since like week 3. That goddamn clown has no idea what he’s doing and he needs to get **gone**. NOW. Before the idiot costs us the playoffs and another potential SB run.

  17. The thing is that this is just what our offense is. Scheme and all ur formations is implemented in the offseason. We are cooked

  18. The biggest question is, how is Kevin Patullo fucking shamelessly waking up everyday, despite reading the room and continuing to coach without any adjustments?

Have some awareness and self respect dumbass.

  19. Can I upvote more than once? Reub has definitely turned on KP. He’s been teetering and I expect we’ll see more of the same on Friday. If we lose then; that’s the earliest I expect a change. But not before. The offense is terrible. Barkley is in his own head, the O Line can’t get any push, we get flagged for dumb shit on special teams and the dumbest plays that set up 1st and 20, and we have no identity anywhere. I’d like to know the dynamic that Sirianni has with Vic and with Patullo. I’d doubt Sirianni has much input to what Vic does and he has more autonomy than we know.

  20. I doubt they’re going to fire the OC when they’re 8-3, but I agree—with the state of the offense, they’re be lucky to win a playoff game, let alone a Super Bowl.

Bring in a consultant. There are plenty of people out there they could bring in to help the coaches figure this out.

They’d have to be insane to waste this roster, and I don’t think the present coaching staff will be finding the answers on their own.

  21. I remember in the last podcast comparing this season to 2023 is kinda misguided, since we have Vic. Fix the offense and we have a chance, I really truly believe it. Get some courage, Jeff and Howie. If Sirianni gets pissy about his guy being demoted, kick him out too.

  22. Third and two on the Eagles final possession, and everyone runs a 10+ yard route, resulting in a drive ending sack. It’s football malpractice. And we see it over and over, week after week. What’s the definition of insanity again?

  23. I feel like someone tried to push the narrative to it’s a Hurts issue but like that fiddle is old. We know his limitations and his potential. This is majority a play design/calling issue. First half we had AJ running slants etc we were humming. Second half. Back to the old conservative BS. This isn’t 2023 bad but the amount of talent on this team cannot overcome everything holding it back

  24. It was obvious week 1 just like the failed Brian Johnson year. Be ballsy and do the right thing. Our offense is a joke, but it should be elite.

  25. I would expect Lurie to be furious over this loss. We need our rage to be his rage, because that tends to only be good for the team.

  26. There is no excuse for having the most expensive offense in the league, getting the turnovers, s 3 score lead, and not closing it out.

There is zero adjustment from this offensive coaching staff.

  27. It’s crazy we keep dancing around the same thing. KP being the problem doesn’t mean that it would be flawless without him. All offenses have problems, players fuck up plays every game, flags kill drives around the league. We can talk about O line fall off, Saquon regression, Jalen’s resistance to pulling the trigger in tight windows, AJ losing a step, disharmony, whatever. KP is still the biggest problem. Fix that before you pull at every other thread

  28. Hire Daboll.

Make a back room deal with the Dolphins to fire McDaniels and hire him.

    Hire Doug Pederson.

Fuck it, just remove the batteries from Jalen’s ear piece and let him do it.

I don’t care. Just not more of the same.
