The only thing I disagreed with was not running the ball on 2nd down. But the throw was there, if Winston hits him we get the win. We were aggressive and going for the win, he didn’t want to leave it up to the defense to give up another game winning drive TD**.
It’s easy to look back and say we win with that field goal, but Detroit would’ve been playing for a TD and starting from the ~30. I would bet the house Detroit gets a TD there.
I feel like Kafka passed because it would be tough to run and get a TD. End result is relying on defense. Passing gave us a higher chance for the TD. Even if lions burned all their timeouts, i still think the defense would’ve burned Bowens defense.
The field goal wasn’t attempted because of the complete lack of confidence in the defense. This was the right call as the defense proved.
