🚨 Unexpected JETS Signing! What They’re Not Telling You…
The New York Jets made an interesting addition to their roster yesterday, signing a brand new free agent. So, in this video, I want to break down the brand new player that is joining the New York Jets and also go deep into all the things around the New York Jets that you need to know heading into the next game against the Baltimore Ravens. Make sure you guys let me know your thoughts in the comments. As always, hit the thumbs up button, subscribe to the channel if you’re new. We just hit 31,000 subscribers. We’re growing, baby. We appreciate the support here on the channel. Let’s get straight into it. So, as you guys saw yesterday, there was other news that I’m not going to dive deep into much in this video because I already broke it down with detail. Is the Jets benching Justin Fields for Tyrod Taylor. This is an obvious big shift to the overall philosophy of the offense moving forward. If you want to get my thoughts about the benching, what it means for this offense schematically, and what you can expect from the wide receivers and the tight ends and the playmakers around the quarterback position more in depth, go check out that video we uploaded yesterday. Now, when it comes to the other news that happened yesterday, I was unable to make a video about it, but that’s why we’re doing it right here today, folks. The New York Jets add a unique player, a defensive tackle, a veteran, 29 years old Kalin Saunders. Now, this is a guy that is coming from the Kansas City Chiefs. Went to the Saints and then he was with the Jaguars. They released him. He was a free agent. He could have picked any team, but he decided to go to the 2 and8 New York Jets. And I think a reason for that is he saw an opportunity with the Jets. We obviously are rebuilding the interior of the defensive tackle room because of trading away Quinnon Williams. As we saw, Quinnon made his Dallas Cowboy debut last night and he was an absolute stud. had a sack and a half, like four something quarterback hits. Did more in that game than he did all season with the Jets. I mean, that’s what happens when you get traded and you have a lot of new energy in you. So, shout out to Quinnon Williams. I’ll be rooting for you. Big fan of Big Q. Always have been, always will be. But since we traded him away, the Jets have a problem on the interior of the defensive line. And the Jets are trying to find pieces that they can build with for the 2026 season and beyond. That’s what this season is about. Aaron Glenn and Darren Muji are going to try to find people even in free agency and other areas to add to this roster even past the trade deadline like Saunders to try to evaluate is this someone we want to bring in for a 2026 contract and have him part of this defensive line. We brought in Mazy Smith with the trade for Quinnon Williams. So now all of a sudden you look at the defensive line, there’s two brand new players on that interior and Smith and Saunders. Smith is that young guy, former first round pick, bust for the Cowboys, looking to hopefully revive his career with the Jets. And then Saunders is a guy that is completely one of those guys that had a flashy play that everyone remembers him for. He had an interception with the Saints on the Kansas City Chiefs and like return it big boy alert. Uh so he definitely has a lot of energy and has a lot of juice here. This is your typical nose tackle that can really stuff the run. not your really your prototypical pass rusher at that interior of the defensive tackle position like Quinnon Williams was. And now that we don’t have Quinn anymore, I hope we realize that the defensive tackle position, it’s really hard to find defensive tackles that specialize in pass rush and run. That’s how great Quinnon Williams is. Therefore, it’s not going to be easy to replace him unless the Jets use a premium pick on a defensive tackle in these next few drafts or go out there in the free agency class and pay a big market type of defensive tackle because now you look at the defensive line, it’s definitely a big issue. You got Harrison Phillips and the one guy I love on this defensive line honestly that is a sleeper is Joan Briggs. The Jets brought him in in August right before the season. A really good trade, man. And I mean, you look at the defensive tackle room before the season started and look at where it is right now. Shipping away Quinn, but the additions of Harrison Phillips and Joan Briggs, I loved. Harrison Phillips is a veteran. Not really sure if he’s going to be here beyond the season, but Jawan Briggs is young and I think that he provides a lot of upside. I’ve been really pleased with his development. So, now you add in Saunders, a guy that’s trying to find his footing with the team at the back end of his career, 29 years old, two-time Super Bowl champion, by the way, was with the Chiefs when they won two Super Bowls. So, it’s another veteran in the locker room that’s going to help, you know, hopefully establish some type of mindset with this organization because right now Aaron Glenn needs veterans on this team. It’s really young now. There’s not a lot of leaders on the roster after shipping off Quinn, especially on defense. He was the leader and it’s not like Saunders is going to come here and just all of a sudden be a captain or anything, but I think that adding a guy like him is only going to do good for this football team. And there’s not a lot to play for. You know, the Jets are two and eight. They make a quarterback change. The playoffs are completely out of the picture. I mean, it felt that way through in the beginning of the season. It’s not like now we’re out of the playoffs because we lost to the Patriots. I get that. But this team, and I said it in yesterday’s video, they’re in deep evaluation mode. And that’s really what it comes down to. Every single position is critical right now to see who is going to be here for the 2026 season and beyond because guess what? You thought the trade deadline was crazy of trading away Sauce and Quinn. This offseason, there’s going to be a purge. There’s going to be a lot of players on this roster that’s not going to be here. players that we all fell in love with as Jets fans. We all loved Sauce. Maybe not all of us, but majority of Jets fans love Sauce Gardner. And raise your hand right now if you expected Sauce Gardner to get traded at the deadline. I definitely did not expect that. I expected Quinnon to get traded, but not Sauce. And the reason why I bring that up is because I think this off seasonason is going to be the same thing. I think there’s guys that could potentially get traded like, you know, some guys that you can bring up is Germaine Johnson. He did not get traded at the deadline, but there were some people calling the Jets about Germaine Johnson. You never know how they feel about Damen Sherwood’s contract. Maybe there’s some calls on him. That’s not me saying I want to trade any of these guys. I’m just looking at it from a Darren Muji and an Aaron Glenn perspective because they’re evaluating the type of players these guys are. And Jamon Sherwood was benched during the season once because of some type of thing that happened in house that we’re not aware of. Quincy Williams is a free agent, so I don’t think he’s going to return. I’m expecting him to probably reunite with his brother Quinnon over there in Dallas. And I think that on the offensive side of the ball, there’s not really a lot to get rid of because there’s not a lot there, right? Like it’s not like, oh, that guy we can trade away. Garrett Wilson is the only guy that has any value and we’re not trading him away. At least I hope not. And then Bree Hall is a pending free agent as well, so it’s not like you can trade him unless you slap a franchise tag on him and do a tag and trade option. But I’m hopeful the Jets give Bree Hall a contract extension or give him a franchise tag because we need him on the 2026 season and beyond. So I think that the addition of Saunders is definitely a unique one. I think that it could be something to look at and this defensive line outside of the interior of the Dline on the edge, you know, it’s really interesting when you look at the drop off of talent from Germaine Johnson, Will McDonald, then you got Michael Clemens and Tyler Baron as off the edge and Braden McGregor. So, the Jets are going to have to add a lot of pieces on this defensive line in the offseason because us Jets fans, I think we can all agree, we’re used to having a really good defensive line. That’s one of the positions that historically in the last 15 years has been consistently good. Hasn’t translated to any wins, of course, but we went from, you know, drafting Leonard Williams, going back to Sheldon Richardson in the first round, of course, Quinnon Williams, and having really good guys on this defensive line for a long time. Now on that defensive tackle position, there’s not a star anymore. So, it’s definitely going to be interesting to see how the Jets go out there in this off seasonason. Do they get that big piece in free agency or in the draft inside? And I think the addition of Saunders and you got Mazy Smith trying to try out, trying to find his footing here. And remember, Leonard Taylor III, a guy that was released in the middle of the season, he did not fit the Aaron Glenn culture obviously. So, there’s a lot of guys that’s going to be moving pieces for this Jets football team. Now, moving into next week, some guys that could be making their return is rookie quarterback Azar Thomas. I’m hopeful that he’s going to return. He is still in concussion protocol. There’s no reports yet, but I’m hopeful that, you know, resting for two weeks, he’s going to let the rookie quarterback go back out there. And this is the guy that I was really excited about uh to get his opportunity. Aaron Glenn talked to his Thomas right when they traded away Aaron Glenn and he told him, “I believe in you. We’re trading sauce because we believe in you, Thomas.” And that I mean if you’re a Zarya, this is the best thing you can imagine for a rookie to hear your head coach come up to you, trade away a star that’s ahead of you and say we believe in you so much that we’re going to get these draft picks. We’re going to get AD Mitchell and you’re going to be the starter and you’re going to keep this job and now it’s up to Ay Thomas to stay healthy number one and number two go out there and prove that he is the starting quarterback for this season and next season and beyond because I love the Zarya Thomas out of the draft. you guys know that. And I remember doing a lot of research on him and before he got drafted, he said, “I’m a staler in this league. I’m not going into this rookie season off the bench. Like, that’s not my mindset. I’ll never come off the bench.” Well, little did he know, yeah, he got drafted to the Jets where he was behind Sauce and new veteran acquisition Brandon Stevens. So, he started off on the bench, but now he has the starting job. And I think that the secondary missed him these last few games. Brownley, I think he’s way better in the nickel and he’s been struggling lately. Quantis Stiggers has been filling in a little bit. Brandon Stevens has been up and down. There’s a lot of issues in the secondary. And Aaria Thomas is the one piece to the secondary that I really feel like has so much upside and can take a lot off the stress of Darren Muji to go out there and land a big-time name in free agency or draft a quarterback high in the draft next year. If Ay Thomas can prove to be someone to be excited about long term at the end of this season, that is going to be massive. So hopefully he can return against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday because that will be absolutely massive. And then that’s really all you have to know about the Jets early on in this week. The Tyrod Taylor shift is going to make things different for guys like AD Mitchell, Mason Taylor, John Mechy, Bree Hall. The whole offense is going to look different. Doesn’t mean it’s going to be better. It may be worse. But I will say this, I’m excited to see the productivity through the air with Tyrod Taylor sling on the rock all over the place. Darren Muji 2 and eight as a general manager. The one thing I want to say about these two guys real quick is I can tell they are in lock step with each other and the fact that they are sharing the same vision gives me somewhat of reasons of hope for next season. This is going to be a big offseason for them because with them benching Justin Fields and by the way they did not bench Fields once. This is their second time benching him in case you forgot. But the quarterback position is going to be everything for this regime. Whether they go after a bridge or they draft one or they land hopefully a franchise quarterback in in free agency or the trade market. There’s so many different outlets you can go whether it’s bringing in a bridge and punting on this draft class as a quarterback position then go into the 2027 class. I mean, there’s a lot of scenarios that we’re going to talk about all throughout the offseason. Not going to focus on that right now. But my point is like this team is all about finding a quarterback. And now this roster is going to be figuring out a way to build a culture, build that identity. So whatever quarterback we do bring in next year, they’re coming into at least somewhat of an established system because Tener Angstrand is a rookie offensive coordinator. He’s learning how to build a system from scratch. And I feel like Justin Fields has held back Tener Angstrand as a play caller just because of the limitations that Justin Fields provides as a quarterback through the air. And that’s not a knock on Justin Fields. I know some people get really offended when I say those things about Justin, but the reality is his strengths is not to throw the ball. It never was. His strengths is always RPOS’s, keeping the ball on the floor, and just being an athletic beast. He can’t throw, can’t really do it consistently. So now with Tyrod out there, I am excited to see the offense open up a little bit. I do think there’s going to be more plays to be made through the air with guys like Mechy and AD with Garrett Wilson still sideline. So, a lot to break down this week heading into that Baltimore Ravens game, but we’re not going to preview that game yet in this video. We’ll save that for this week. If you guys stayed until the end of the video, hit that plain emoji in the comments. Hit the thumbs up button as well. And this was everything you needed to know about the New York Jets entering this week against the Baltimore Ravens. I’m out. Peace.

🚨 The New York Jets have officially signed defensive tackle Khalen Saunders — a two-time Super Bowl champion who brings veteran experience from the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints. With the Jets sitting at 2-7 and needing to turn things around, Saunders’ arrival could signal a shift on the defensive front. We dive into what this means for the roster, how Saunders fits the scheme, and why this might be one of the biggest moves the Jets make this season.

Petition for Richie starting at Qb
2-8 lock stepped into losing. AG and GM will send 4 1st for Murry or something dumb like that. Sadly. 0 faith in this only because we was told we are here to win and then L after L. Same ol Jets

Breaking news: Aaron Glen traded himself. 8:04 Obviously he meant Sauce. I'm still allowed to giggle like a kid.
Great breakdown Richie 💪🏽💪🏽
✈ I think we are going to get Mendoza. Definitely keeping an eye at Mougey at Indiana games.
We need to draft Fernando….✈️✈️✈️✈️
I don't really root for former players. I don't root against either. I just mainly worry about my team and current players.
Ya for QB benching, also need to activate QB Cook for Taylor backup.
Gota make it look good😊
This news packs all the excitement of a mouse fart in a whirlwind!
Get rid of 21 and 72
The biggest name that you didn't mention & I want to see gone is Steve Wilks ! Also draft 2 new rookie guards to the Oline, that's what other successful teams have done. Detroit Minnesota Houston. Draft receivers & tightend is a must. And say good bye to Josh Reynolds & Allen Lazard !
I love how upbeat and positive you typically are Richie. Some Podcaster (who shall remain nameless) have become so negative that its hard to listen to. Whatever AG says they nitpick and put a negative spin on his words. I like what the Jets have done. We have lots of draft capital, lots of money for FA to add a few players. The difference between now and '21 when we had lots of draft capital is that we have alot of really important pieces in place, OL, #1 receiver, good young DE's, #1 RB, a promising TE, potentially two solid CB's. Back in '21 we had Quinnen and not much else…….Anyway, keep up the good work.

I Remember Khalen Saunders from Parkway Central High School We Graduated in the Same High School Class "Class of 2014 – I First Knew Khalen Saunders in 6th Grade in Parkway Central High School He Had Dreadlock's From 6th Grade – We Were Acquaintances NOT Friends but He Was Someone I Wanted to Be Friends I remember in 6th Grade we were waiting for the bell to go to Class and he smelled a Fart and He Said Who Farted – From 6th Grade – 9th Grade He Had Dreadlocks – Starting in 10th Grade He Had NO Dreadlocks – The Dreadlocks Looked Good – I Think He Should Apply for Survivor TV Series because Survivor is Tougher than Football According to Former NFL Head Coach Jimmy Johnson who was on Survivor Nicaragua (Season 21)
Hey Jake, take off ur hat and show us the fake hairline you just bought. How many superchats does something like that cost?
