Latest New England Patriots Injury Updates On Will Campbell, Jared Wilson & Brenden Schooler
All right, guys. I waited until halftime of the Sunday night football game to at least hope and hope and hope that we got an update on Will Campbell, Brennan Skooler, Kyus Tonga, or Jared Wilson. No updates. No updates. Welcome into Patriots Today by Chat Sports. I am your host Brett Alper. Patriots win the ball game against the Cincinnati Bengals 26 to 20. Patriots are the best team in the NFL. They have the number one record. You are number one in the AFC, but I think everybody on everybody’s minds right now is is our starting left tackle going to be okay? I’m assuming that Jared Wilson is going to be probably placed on IR for short term and could return after four games. He was I’m assuming it’s a high ankle sprain. He left the game in the first half, got carded off and was seen after in a walking boot and crutches. And that’s the same exact thing that we saw with Milton Williams. And Milton Williams had a high ankle sprain. I’m kind of assuming what we saw from uh from what him what we saw from Milton Williams. So, I’m not expecting the worst for him, but hopefully, and I mean hopefully, we get some type of update about Will Kim. I hope so. And this is why you subscribe to the channel. I’m bringing you guys up-to-date knowledge. It is 9:38 as I’m recording this on the East Coast, and I was waiting for an update, hoping to get something. But, I mean, no news is kind of good news. If he had or torn ACL, which is what the worst possible indication could be, then that would be we would probably know by now that we would get some report. Usually when you see a player get injured, you see report team feared that so and so player is go is feared to have a torn ACL and then MRI will confirm it either the next day or whenever they do that. But with Will Campbell, we have heard nothing so far. And um Drake May said after the game that he hopes they come they’ll be back at some point and we’ll be stronger with with them and we’ll be stronger without him. The next man up mentality. We did get some type of update from one specific person and I’m not 100% sure if I can trust this guy or if he has actual sources. And it comes from Daniel Rottman who is the founder of Scoutd NFL which is an NFL draft analyst. He is a big NFL scout on Twitter and he mainly does the Patriots. And he tweeted out at 6 at 7:45 p.m. Subject to further testing tomorrow both Will Campbell and Jared Wilson are believed to have sprains. Neither injury is considered long-term as of now, which would be the best case scenario for both Will Campbell and Jared Wilson. And then right below the tweet, he tweets out the inevitable. Does this guy know what he’s talking about? In quotes, and he tweeted out on um March 8th about tweets that he did, about reports that he made. and it was on Drake May and in 20 2000 to 2024 he tweeted Drake May is expected to uh land in Boston meet with the Patriots. This is all during the draft. Reported that if the Patriots have a shocking Bryce type offer they will make the pick and despite aggressive pursuits from them, Drake May will will be the pick for the Patriots if he’s available. So maybe he has sources, maybe not. He is very in tap with the Patriots as we saw during the draft, but he says that uh both Campbell and Jared Wilson’s injuries are considered to be not long-term, which is a great thing. And um I’m going to do this on every video for until we get a fullon update. Spam your 66s. Spam your 50 uh 58s. Spam your 41s for Braden School Brandon Schooler because he also went down with an ankle injury and he was showing up in a boot. But to also kind of help kind of bring the optimism to the Patriots. And sorry my hair is all messed up after the uh watch party. Pro Football Doc. And if you guys don’t know who he is, he’s a former NFL doctor. He worked with the Chargers. He’s worked with a lot of teams and he always kind of gives analysis on what he thought an injury was. And what he said, what he saw from Will Campbell and the video did come out. He got rolled up on and pro football doc, which I mean this is just speculation from video. He said that it looks like it’s a sprained MCL for him. And with a sprained MCL, that’s not the end of the world. It is an injury and it’s going to take some time to come back. But if that is the case, then that is the best case scenario. And I was looking up, shout out to Pat’s Planet. I’m sure you’re watching this video like you watch most of my videos and I watch all your content because you are one of the best content creators on Twitter. He tweeted out that uh typical MCL spring timelines in the NFL, a grade one is 1 to two weeks, a grade two is 3 to five, a grade three is 6 to 8 weeks plus. So if it’s a grade three, six to eight weeks, let’s say it’s a sprained MCL and he has uh to miss 6 to 8 weeks. Right now we are in week 12. That would put Will Campbell six weeks from now at the final week of the regular season and then eight weeks would be divisional matchup. If the Patriots can get that, if the Patriots can have a grade two sprain, and once again, we have not gotten an update on Will Campbell, but I’m hoping that we can get an update. That would be the best case scenario. The best case scenario is an is a mild MCL sprain that’s going to be four to six weeks, but you don’t want it to be season ending. And if it’s season ending, it’s going to be tough. It’s really going to be tough because Ben Brown for however Jared Wilson is out for, I have trust in Ben Brown. We saw him already this season. He’s he played decent. He played good enough to be a backup and to help us. But if Will Campbell is out, that would be a gigantic blow for New England because you have to deal with Vidarian Low. And I don’t know if I can deal with watching Vidian Low. After all, last year I I almost crashed out at every single point. I can’t deal with Vidarian Low. And we’re going to go over some replacements when we get the update for Will Campbell. If it’s long, if it’s short, if it’s a long-term injury, we got you covered here. But right now, I just wanted to give you uh any update that we possibly had. We do not have any sort of update. I’m waiting and waiting and waiting. I got Twitter up. I I keep refreshing it over and over and over, but the injuries are starting to pile up. You already lost Milton Williams for the for the foreseeable future, for the next four weeks. One game down, three to go for Milton Williams to be eligible to come off IR. And you saw how much the Patriots missed him. Joe Flacco was not getting much pressure until the end of the game. Thank you, Kavon Chason. Thank you, Marcus Jones. But Chase Brown was all over the field and he ran for a 100 yards. It was the first time this season the Patriots have let up a hundred yard rusher and I wonder why because your best player on defense is uh missing. Tyrus Tonga, I hope you’re okay. The injuries are piling up. But the one thing we’re worried about more more than anything more than anything is if Will Campbell is okay. I hope he’s okay. Still waiting on an update. Hopefully we get one. If we get one at 11 o’clock, I’m making it a video for you guys no matter what. But, uh, we need need some positive vibes here. Need some positive vibes. It was a rough game. Rough game, but she came out with the W and that’s all that matters. Once again, when we get an update on Will Campbell, if it’s in the morning, I’m going to show up to Chat Sports at 7 a.m. tomorrow. So, when we get the update, we will get you covered. So, make sure you hit that sub button. And as always, let’s go pets.
New England Patriots injury news: Will Campbell suffered a knee injury during the Patriots win over the Cincinnati Bengals 26-20 and had to be carted off the field. The Patriots have not given any update as of yet, but the fear is it could be season ending. Will Campbell was rolled up on and left the game without returning. Pro Football Doc on Twitter suggests it is an MCL injury and should not be season ending. scoutdnfl.com founder Daniel Rothman also is reporting that Jared Wilson & Campbell’s injury are not considered serious, but we’ll have to wait for the MRI to confirm anything. Doug Kyed on Will Campbell:
“Patriots rookie LT Will Campbell is being carted to the locker room.”
Jesse Morse MD on Will Campbell Injury:
“Will Campbell – Patriots LT Right knee injury
Based on updated video (see in comments), the most likely diagnosis is an MCL sprain. There are two possible supplemental injuries here: meniscus, which is often injured in moderate MCL sprains, and sometimes the ACL is injured as well. Best case scenario he returns after the bye, in 3 weeks. If moderate will take 4-6 weeks (early playoff return). Severe (which are uncommon), require surgery, and would be season-ending.”
Drake Maye on LT Will Campbell and LG Jared Willson:
“I love those guys. Will and Jared, they’ve meant a lot to me… They’ll bounce back and help us out down the road.”

Between HS and semipro i played 13 seasons, went thru something similar, trust me it dont have to be a tear for him to miss significant time.

It's going to be a big blow on the team but I think we going to be okay with Darren low and Josh McDaniels he going to skim it up for the rest of the season
Chase brown had 107 rushing yards not good man 😮
Just found your account. Love you passion brother. Will share with my Patriots friends
Just enjoy the run for Pete’s sake. Been a while since we were this good dude!
Losing will is a huge blow to our offensive line DAMMIT i still got faith but the road only gets tuffer from here
LfG pats Nation let's go pats keep the winning streak going 💪 to 10 next week 11-2
Thanks for the update Alper
Ben Brown is pretty good but, V. Lowe is still on this team after last season’s results? 2 of those 11 picks better be for developing a guard and tackle.

It's an ACL. Abandon hope. MRI tomorrow. Campbell out 10 months.
Put me on suicide watch if I hear the letters ACL
On Twitter, granted, diagnosing from afar, but Dr Jesse Morse, MD says it’s likely a sprain. He does say there may be meniscus or ACL “involvement”, but he’s talking sprain… no tear. Obviously, he hasn’t examined Campbell. Still, as a doctor I trust him over any of us to be able to judge based on the video of the injury. Also…
In your last video on this I pointed out Vrabel’s post-game press conference comments talking about how they’ll be back. Maybe he meant “eventually”, career-wise, and it was kind of a throw away line. But it SOUNDED like he meant relatively soon. Like weeks. So, with our bye coming up…
Let’s try to survive the Giants and then take it from there. I’m not overly concerned. A little, of course. They may well miss a FEW weeks. So, they may not be ready for the critical Bills matchup. Even the Giants could be a test. They’re feisty and always play us well… with all of our injuries, that’s no guaranteed win. So, yes, I’m a LiTTLE concerned, but not petrified. I think all of these guys will be back in a few weeks. And, frankly… one game down… so will Williams. Barring even MORE injuries, God forbid, we should be nearing full health heading into the playoffs.
We need to stay positive,we have 10 wins and will have more coming. Let's go Pats!!

Whom Evers god did this let’s keep ur up because man this is a relief with it being a chance it’s a sprain
Jedrick Wills needs to be called or Shaq mason and move Moses to LT and Marcus Bryant RT worst case mike onwenu back at RT
This would be devastating for a huge Pats and Big Will fan.
Insider Ricky Spanish says everything will be fine. Its all good. Pro Dr used to come on outkick sports he is pretty good
If our backup tackle is that bad why is he on the roster? Coaches Have to have faith in the guy.
It baffles me as to why the NFL allows teams to continue to use turf in their stadiums. ALL of the injuries yesterday were due to that shit turf.
