This is insane. The Knicks will check in with the Mavericks on Anthony Davis’s trade availability. We’re going to break down all of these latest reports today. This episode is presented by FanDuel. The Knicks are interested in an Anthony Davis trade. Why? Why? Why add another injuryprone player to this roster? Why trade for a player like that? Well, whether we like it or not, it seems like the Knicks are interested in making a blockbuster trade for Anthony Davis. Let’s break down these latest reports. Shout out to NBA insider with SNY Ian Begley for giving us this following information. On the latest edition of his mailbag, he answered the following question about the Knicks and what their trade plans are come the trade deadline. And according to Begley, so if the Knicks are healthy, I’d guess today that they’d prioritize point guard over front court in the trade market. This is stating the obvious, but I’m sure the Knicks would at least check in with Dallas if slash when Anthony Davis becomes available. Many may scoff at that idea, but the Knicks want to win a title this season. And if Dallas is offering Davis at a below market cost, I’m sure the Knicks will at least give the move some thought. But this again is stating the obvious. The Mavs will get calls from nearly all NBA teams if and when they make Davis available. Anyway, the trade market will materialize in earnest over the next 3 to four weeks. It will be interesting to see which teams sell and which players become available between now and early February. once again on Anthony Davis. Even though minority owner Mark Cuban told the Athletic that they are not looking to trade Anthony Davis, recent reports and rumors suggest that the Dallas Mavericks will indeed trade center Anthony Davis in the near future. And if you’re wondering how Anthony Davis is right now, where is he as all of these discussions are coming up? Well, you probably know where he is. because he’s the king of street clothes, he’s probably injured. And if that was your guess, ding ding ding, you’re correct. Take it away, Bleacher Report. According to Bleacher Report, Anthony Davis is currently sidelined with a calf injury and has only played five games this season. Since being acquired by the Mavs last season as part of the franchise altering trade that sent star guard Luca Donic to the LA Lakers, Davis has only played in 14 out of a possible 46 games. He’s missed significant time last year after suffering an abductor strain in his Dallas Mavericks debut. The Knicks have a stacked roster led by star duo of point guard Jaylen Brunson and power forward Carl Anthony Towns. Adding Davis to that mix would surely put New York over the top as a title contender as he’s still one of the best two-way players in the league when healthy. You know, a lot of Nick fans understand that tagline when healthy. Why do we know it so well? Well, if you look at Mitchell Robinson, that’s essentially the definition of his Knicks career. When healthy, he could be this player. So good, so dominant, defensive minded inside. He’s a monster. All of that is true when he’s healthy. The same thing goes for Anthony Davis. not taking anything away from Davis as a player because when he is healthy and he’s active and available and on the floor and in good shape, which he’s not right now in Dallas, he is a monster for any team that he’s playing for. You want to talk about block shots, rebounds, offense inside and outside, the fact that he can go up against so many differentiz players and still be able to get his shot off. This is the type of player that Anthony Davis is when he is healthy. That’s why it doesn’t surprise me to hear when Ian Begley says that multiple teams around the league will contact the Dallas Mavericks if and when Anthony Davis becomes available for trade. But here’s the thing. Even if the Knicks wanted to go after Anthony Davis and they thought they had a shot at him, let’s think about this logically. The Mavericks gave up Luca in order to get AD. That trade is already horrendous. Are you telling me they’re gonna make another horrendous trade to get rid of this problem and try to rebuild around Cooper flag? And the way they’re going to do that is sell him at a discount to any team willing to pay. I don’t think that makes sense. I don’t think the Knicks have enough money or enough players that they want to move in order to make that Anthony Davis trade. And Bleacher Report, as much as they want to say the Knicks right now could be adding AD to Towns and Jaylen Brunson, that just doesn’t make sense on paper in terms of the money. If you want AD on this team, you’re going to need to match that salary. And the easiest way to do that is with Carl Anthony Towns. So, if New York does end up making a trade for Anthony Davis, best believe Carl Anthony Towns will be the player you’re moving. Some people, you’re okay with moving Carl Anthony Towns, especially after seeing what he’s doing during this season, almost averaging career lows across the board. I understand that. But when you look at Carl Anthony Towns and Anthony Davis, and you just look at availability, that’s all you need to look at. And that’s really all you should care about. Carl Anthony Towns, especially this season, has been more active, healthy, and available. You want to criticize his play, please go ahead and do so. But at least he’s giving you something to criticize. Anthony Davis, he is barely playing any basketball for the Dallas Mavericks. I understand that New York, anytime a star player or superstar player becomes available, they want to do their due diligence and contact certain teams and ask about those star players. And if that’s the case here where they just want to do their due diligence, I have no problem with them making that call and reaching out to the Mavericks. However, Ian Begley does not make it seem like that’s all they’d be doing. It sounds like if they reached out to the Mavericks, they would be doing so with the intention of making a trade to get Anthony Davis on this team. And if they were gonna make that trade, it would be one of the worst trades New York has ever made. Anthony Davis, for everything he does, well, how can you see it if he does not play? The man is injuryprone. He does not play. He hasn’t played that many games for Dallas. And I don’t understand why some Nick fans for some reason always believe that a certain player who has not done well notoriously for his career, who has been injuryp-prone notoriously for his career, I’m not talking about specifically Anthony Davis. I’m talking about other players all around the league that sometimes Nick fans want New York to go after because they believe these players can be saved or they believe things that happen on other teams will not happen in New York. Let me make something clear. Anthony Davis is injuryprone no matter where he plays. Dallas, LA, New York, it doesn’t matter. He’s injuryprone everywhere. He is the king of street clothes. All the talent that you want to brag about or talk about or even think that you’d be getting if you made a trade like that, you would not be seeing it because the man doesn’t play. He does not play. He is not on the court. Can you find him? Nope. Not over there. Not over there. Is he underneath here? Nope. nowhere to be found unless you look at the bench and he’s in street clothes. And as you can see, the Cavaliers are on top at plus 160. Then you have the Pistons at plus 250. Then right after them, you have the New York Knicks and they’re at plus480. Everyone else after them is a long shot. The Orlando Magic plus,00 plus,600 and the Raptors plus 1,800 and they round out this list. But either way, no matter who’s in front of New York, it’s still early. New York can put together a crazy win streak and get those odds all the way back up and become number one seed. I guarantee you those odds would plummet if Anthony Davis was on this team. If the Knicks made a trade to get AD on this roster, it does not make sense. New York doesn’t even need Anthony Davis. Yes, we have some concerns early on as a team. Do I believe we can fix them with the current personnel that we have? Absolutely. I’m not saying the Knicks won’t make a trade. They probably will make a move at the deadline, but that move will not be for Anthony Davis for a number of reasons, but in my opinion, for three main ones. Number one, New York does not have the assets, nor do they want to give up the assets necessary to make a trade for Anthony Davis. Number two, he’s injuryprone. As we speak right now, he’s currently injured. So, that doesn’t make sense. And flipping your roster and giving up so many pieces and destroying your chemistry in the process is not a recipe to get to the NBA finals and win it all. If it was, more teams would be doing it, but they’re not. Many teams understand it’s about making the right moves, looking for deals that are inexpensive and under the radar, and then making the right draft picks, adding those players, and developing those players into future pieces that you can utilize on this team, whether they be starters or bench pieces. But just remember, making the right move, that first step is the most important. But that’s why I’m thankful that we have Leon Rose in this Knicks front office leading the way and guiding this ship for New York because I know they will never make a move like trading for Anthony Davis. You trade for Anthony Davis effectively you don’t have a future anymore. But what about you guys?   10. This is BS or "cap." So you want a front line of AD "street clothes," and pair him with Mitchell Robinson who's on a minutes restriction? Say hello to instant failure. The media loves including the Knicks in trade talks.

  16. I’m not even taking this tree seriously there’s only one major player to focus on it and that’s Giannis. Other than that. It’s key role players like Jose Alvarado. I would love to come off the bench for the point guard.

  19. Troy have you seen Sacramento? They said they will trade anyone except for 2 players. The Knicks should check on Keon Elis. Also I want the Knicks to trade for Tari Eason. He makes $4 million. You trade Yabusele, since he makes $5+ million.

  20. I am now starting to believe that the Knicks cannot win with KAT. They need more physical players with an edge. When you have two mediocre or bad defensive players like KAT and Brunson, it’s hard to compete with the better teams. As for Davis, I don’t think he’s going to be that much of an upgrade.

  21. You got it look at it this way. Ad is always healthy in the postseason. Regular season he’s out here and there, but postseason matters. Knicks could do it if they want toughness, defense, and is actually a 2nd option. Not someone soft like Kat.

Mitch is not Mitch yet, but when he becomes Monster Mitch again it's gonna be over for the league. And Towns can get the hell out of here. He just stands in the paint and watch players score on him. All Towns wants to do is score and Flex. He never Flex's on Defense because he plays "None". That game against the Magic made me done with Towns.

Stop it Troy, AD played in 149 games in the last two years to Mitch's 31 lmaooo 😭😭😭😭💀💀💀💀💀 it's not the same, look it up, Charles Barkley called AD that when he's more healthy the Kawhi & PG combine(they had a stat for that too). Mitch literally on load management & needs 17 minutes a game like what we doing? How we gon take shots at AD when we got one of the top 5 most injured prone guys in the league, you got Mitch, Kawhi, Zion, PG & Ja.

    As far as a type of player they are, AD would be a massive upgrade over Mitch, KAT too, KAT has way too many negatives, just like Mitch. I don't want neither of those three on this team to be honest with you because neither of those three are dogs like 1A type of players, This whole roster other than the captain is two passive, nobody just takes over then tries to go for 30 consistently when Cap is out, Brunson the only one with that Mamba mentality. Mikal be having great nights shooting but still be passive like how you 7/11 & still passive but Deuce out here shooting 25 shots, he needs those minutes cause at least he going after it & was actually trying to do something.
