Cooper Kupp: “Jaxon Makes The Most Of His Opportunities” | Seattle Seahawks

Great. Figure Mike answered everything. This is just this is just all uh you I’m just doing this. You guys are you guys are good, right? You guys you guys even think about whether the game’s on the at home or on the road at this point. Do we think about it? Yeah. No, we try not try not to think about it. Um I know it was a big big emphasis um going into the year about the importance of being able to you know protect Lumen. Um but I think at the end of the day it’s like man you you got to go out there and just you got to play the game. You don’t put anything else. You don’t bring any other external things into this. Just go out there and play the game. Prepare as if it was any other game. Um and and leave it all out there. Um yeah. So good job. I glad we walked off with the W today. Oh yeah. That was pretty cool. Uh today, I mean, you’ve been side by side with him during this breakout years. What have you seen from him? What what stands out about the way? Yeah, I mean, shoot, he’s at the end of the day, he’s done an incredible job making the most of the opportunities. Um over and over again, um you know, there’s there’s been games where it’s like, man, we’re not throwing the ball a ton. Um but every opportunity he has to make a play, he’s he’s doing it. And um and that’s that’s hard to do in this league. Um you know uh everyone knows that you know the passing game is a lot of it’s going to be going through him and he just continues to make plays and um yeah it’s it’s pretty impressive to watch. Coach McDonald just talking about how difficult it is for defenders when when he’s got a ball maybe that isn’t thrown to him stride. He seems like he boxing somebody out like a basketball player. Seems like very few guys are able to do that consistently. But what what do you see from him in that regard and just how much pressure that puts on DBs? Yeah. Um yeah, I think he does a great job tracking the football. Um great body control and and he just he catches the ball. He puts his hands on the ball, he’s going to catch it. And um definitely as a DB when you’re turned and running and you don’t get to see the ball and as a receiver we do. um you know we have the advantage and um Sam’s done a great job too just giving him opportunity balls too um to make those plays and um and like I said Jackson has done it over and over again and um you know opportunities multiply as they are sees and he’s done a great job of that Mike said reaction to that first big touchdown got everybody fired up good to see him just have moment like that after a tough game yeah but I said he’s going to be that’s going to be Sam Darnold um he’s going to do his little fist pump thing back there um and yeah It was great to see. I mean, just to I I I’m no one’s surprised that he came out firing um you know um you know, being aggressively smart, but um you know, regardless of what whatever last week was, I mean, come out here and play football and and we knew Sam was going to do that. Yeah, that’s huge. Uh we’ve we’ve obviously um can’t continue to do what we’ve been doing. um we know that’s not a sustainable um it’s not a sustainable process. It’s not a sustainable um model for us and um definitely have to be better than that. So um it’s good to see. Awesome. Thank you guys.
