The Pelicans Will Regret This!!! #shorts #pelicans #nba #basketball #nbadraft #tyresehaliburton

Forget the Luca trade. This might be the biggest trade in NBA history ever. All right, so let’s check it out. The Pacers traded the number 23 pick in the 2025 draft to the Pelicans. And the Pelicans traded the Pacers back their own 2026 first round pick. What’s the big deal? And look up there. It says June 17th, 2025. That sounds familiar. Oh yeah, that was a day after game five of the NBA finals that the Pacers were literally playing in and 5 days before game seven. Yeah. And yeah, what happened in game seven? Tyresese Halleurn got hurt. And what does that mean? The Pacers suck this year. They’re terrible. So yeah, that means that that small unimportant random trade during the NBA finals might give the Pacers a top three pick, possibly the number one pick. That’s it, right? Nope. You remember on draft night when the Pelicans traded the number 23 pick, a 2026 unprotected first round pick for Derrick Queen? You remember that the Pacers shipped the number 23 pick to the Pelicans? That’s that pick. Wait, does that say 2026 unprotected first round pick from the Pelicans who suck? Yeah, that’s going to be a top three pick. Yeah. So that means that in just this offseason, the Pelicans possibly traded away two top three picks.

  1. Queen could end up top two rookie in this class. Fears is legit. Already have Herb and Trey. Trade deadline Zion and Poole are gone. Get some good fits and this will be a squad next year.
