Excerpt:

Instead of finding Wilson or tight end Trey McBride, two players who made up 197 of Brissett’s 317 passing yards on a combined 19 catches, it was wide receiver Xavier Weaver getting the last look of the night.

Originally getting a one-on-one look against cornerback Christian Braswell after the safety bit on McBride on the underneath route, Brissett uncorked it for the young wideout.

But as the ball was in the air, Jaguars safety Andrew Wingard came flying in from the backside for double coverage. That favorable one-on-one matchup suddenly morphed into a dead-to-rights overmatch.

“They played double-double. So, he threw it to the one-on-one,” Gannon said. “Love the decision. Go win the game.”

  1. I wonder how Michael Bidwill loves being the worst owner in sports! Definitely worst one in football! But we just keep feeding his pockets so he probably don’t care

  2. I know head coaches aren’t supposed to throw their OC under the bus to the media,  but saying he loved the call: bullsh*t. Gannon must have gone to a Jeff Fisher coaching camp or something similarly stupid and worthless. Gotta blow it up and start over. Again.

  3. What if? What if… the reason these offensive calls are made is to lose on purpose? What if they already know that there is no winnable games for the rest of the season so they’re playing for draft picks.

  4. You want frustrating? The Cards have lost 6 games by a combined total of 16 points. 6 games. 16 points. That is incredible. Surely has to be some kind of NFL WTF ?stat. There are only 2 things that determine which team wins. 1- good luck and 2-bad luck. We are drowning in #2. You can analyze a million scenarios, situations and stats. But nothing can determine luck. It just is. So who did we P.O. and how do we get rid of this curse?

  5. not sure why anyone cares at this point..we were elmimnated from the playoffs a while ago..let the rookies get their reps…let the vets get their touches and lets look foward to next year lol
