[Marquee] Colston Loveland’s three TD receptions are tied with Tyler Warren for the most among rookie tight ends

  1. Can only be happy with the team’s rookie development on the offensive side. Burden, Loveland, and Monangai are doing great; Trapilo (!) looked like a starter out there today; Newman stepped up when needed. On the other hand it’s amazing how little we’ve gotten out of our defensive rookies, but what can you do

  2. His size, speed, catching, route running, and even blocking are all elite. He’s got superstar written all over him.

  3. But I heard it was settled that Poles made the wrong choice three weeks into the season because Warren had more yards. No rookie can ever overcome not being in the HOF after an entire three games in the league.

  4. Colts fans were jerking each other off through the first few games about Warren and thanking Ben for passing on him. 😆

  5. I had a feeling he’d come on strong in the second half of th year, and I have a feeling he’s going to *explode* next season. Really feel good about him as a major building block going forward, he seems like a home run

  6. Seems like the slow start was mostly because of the offseason injury rehab. You can already tell he’s a problem for defenders with the ball in his hands though. Can’t wait to see what he turns into

  7. The fact that Ben has brought him along so steadily and is getting meaningful contribution out of our first round pick is such a breath of fresh air

  8. I was very wrong about him early on but man they’ve made a great adjustment getting him going.

  9. If not for the injury which caused him to miss most of training camp and then be limited to start the season he’d be more comparable to Warren. Now that Colts are using other receivers Warren’s numbers have gone down some. Both seem like great TEs worth a first round pick.

That said I’m hoping we go defensive line/edge in the 1st round next year lol. I get that we’ll probably go best player available, but we really need to improve the pass rush.

  10. It’s almost like the entire team needed time to learn and adjust to a complex offensive system or something like that. Who would’ve thunk?
