I think we all agree with Ruben frank. However what are the realistic odds of howie or lurie actually doing anything? Probably close to zero.

  1. Good. Media pressure is what will make a change happen. I don’t want to hear about the hurts and Aj brown shit this week. All of that was only ever coming out because of KP being awful

  2. Don’t think they’ll fire him after this what they learnt from 2023. Also, a small part of me thinks the org would never fire a coach during a holiday week. Just doesn’t seem like their style.

  3. While I would be fine with firing KP, I’m also not super worried just yet.

The reason is that fucky stuff ALWAYS happens when we play in Jerry World, almost every season.

Second half, basically everything that could have gone bad for us did. Fumbles, over a dozen penalties including the really bad dpi call, etc etc.

The first quarter showed the offense can dominate. I assume that we’re keeping KP around, and in that scenario I’m hoping he learned not to let his foot off the gas. I think we all remember that being overly conservative after taking a big lead has been a problem for this team WELL before KP became OC.

  4. I would actually say at the beginning of the game yesterday that there was some improvement. They were attacking the middle of the field. They ran a jet sweep.

But the bar is so low because the offense was so beyond terrible at the beginning of the year. I haven’t rewatched the game or seen an analysis but if you told me that the offense didn’t run a play under center, that every one of Barkley’s runs went to one of the B gaps, and that we didn’t run a crossing route all game, I’d probably believe all of that.

  5. That’s the problem with any new OC, regardless of the scheme. What do you do when the scheme doesn’t work? Make adjustments and most newbies suck at it because they haven’t graduated from the school of hard knocks.

  6. There’s no reason they can’t hand playcalling over to someone else, unless they honestly believe they have no one better. This guy is useless.

  7. We’ve had great discussion about a lot of next year candidates but Mike Kafka might be an interesting dark horse. He was absolutely screwed by Daboll, he is looking at least baseline competent with a not very talented Giants offense (their issue this year has been defense and they just fired their DC), and even if he’s one and done after a successful season(because he becomes HC) he’s a Rooney hire so we get draft picks

  8. In the middle of the season when they’re probably gonna make the playoffs, I highly doubt they will fire him. If we were 3-8 they probably would.

They’ll hopefully replace him after the season is over. Preferably with a great coordinator that has already tried and failed to be a head coach.

  9. The unfortunate reality is that they actually do have a choice. They can choose not to replace him.

  10. AJ should just give an interview and say it’s 100% on coaching and to ask patulo. That way it shows even the players blame it on him and the media can grill him for it

  11. I think if they literally got a madden player to call plays it would be better. Not install the offense and all that, just the play calling part.

  12. In 2012 the Ravens fired their OC in December. How’d that work out for them?

    Oh really?

  13. He’s just saving the good offense for the post season, what’s so hard for people to understand about that?

  14. We are stuck with him for the rest of the season unless Sirianni takes over play calling it I doubt it. I guess we’re just going to ride the wave

  15. If not fired, at least demoted from playcalling after the Friday game this week? But then who takes over playcalling?

  16. I’m generally of the opinion you don’t get better by changing coaches mid-season. But it seems hard to believe that you could get worse at this point.

  17. It really is funny that we have a head coach who literally cannot intervene when one of his direct reports is incompetent.

If Nick Sirianni managed a Wawa and the guy who makes the coffee is out sick, and Sirianni just shrugged and said, “Sorry, I don’t know how to make coffee, so I guess we won’t sell any coffee today,” then Nick Sirianni is a shit manager.

  18. He can not be allowed to continue calling plays. He has zero feel for it and it isn’t getting better. Maybe he is good at the other aspects of being an OC but he’s a total failure at calling a game

  19. The post when KP finally gets fired is going to be the most upvoted in this sub’s history

  20. I’m about to get on a plane, when I take my phone off airplane mode I better immediately be given an article that says Patullo got fired.

  21. I’ve never seen a more negligent misuse of offensive weapons in my life, and I’m a Bears fan.

  22. The thing is, a different OC can only do so much with Sirianni’s awful play design.

There was a 3rd down play yesterday where we had Devonta, AJ, and Dotson all end up in the same area towards the sideline on the field side. Already a low percentage and difficult throw, but then you put a lot of defenders in that area by having 3 guys there.

We have an offensive head coach who is absolutely horrible at designing an offense.
