Great. What was it? Was it just from bumps or did you fall or No, it happened like second, third play of the game. I like got a steal and felt a little weird and didn’t feel comfortable on it, but I I’ll be fine. I’m great. Uh, what did you make of Jared yesterday? And I know you’ve kind of been, you know, pushing him to just be himself, but yesterday kind of looked like he was able to break out. No, he was great. He was really good. Got to the rim, went left, um, hit a couple threes, I think. um played good defensively solid. I think he was really good for you. Um and just I I know how many minutes you’ve played has been a topic this season, but just what are the ways that you have learned because I know you’re such a gym rat as well on your off days and getting your individual work in. How have you learned how to best um account for all of that and and sort of take the breaks when you need, work on the stuff that you need? How have you learned to do that over the course? Just routine. Routine. I just try to keep the same routine every single day. Um, you know, shoot around. I get my work in before shoot around. I get my work in before practice. Sometimes it’s not always just running around doing a whole bunch of stuff. It’s just quick things, you know what I mean? Just touch shots, make sure you feel the basketball. That’s pretty much it. What are some of those like quick drills that maybe are efficient but not as um working on my touch layups? left hand, right hand, working on my floers, work on my midies, work on my threes. Um, not as much like handling combinations and running, kind of just getting to a spot, shooting, you know what I’m saying? It’s like the stuff you do after you do the move and all that. Making sure like, you know, it feels good. My passing, I always make sure I get my pass in there, too. On the subject of the floaters, it seems like you’ve leaned on them a lot more this year than you have in a little while, I guess. When did you identify that as something that might be beneficial for you to sort of reintroduce into your game or at least use more often than you have over the last few years? I think now I think I said it the other day. It’s like basketball is about getting baskets at the end of the day. The ball goes through the net whether you shoot it from half court, you shoot it from 15 or 17 feet. And uh I think the defenses have uh kind of put an emphasis on like not letting me get all the way to the rim. So, like the closer you can get, Rico always says you you can only get so close. So, it’s like sometimes it’s floers, sometimes it’s midi, sometimes it’s um you know, all the way to the rim, it just whatever I can do to get a, you know, a shot attempt, whatever I feel comfortable in, and I’ve worked on it a lot my entire life. So, it’s like it’s a shot that I’m I’m comfortable in taking. There was a stat going around after the Milwaukee game that you had seven lefty layups or floaters in that game, and I think it was the most a player the most shots a player made with their offh hand in a game this season. How much work do you put in on on specifically being able to score going to your left? And I guess in your view, like how does it how much does that benefit you as a scorer? It definitely benefits me. Definitely does. Um I just I like going both ways. Like I like going left. I like going right. I like getting to the cup. Like shooting left. I’ve been doing a lot better shooting right. Um I think it just I worked a lot. I work on it a lot, especially this summer because I just feel like it can open up my game to to like a different heights if I get all the way to the rim left and make left hand layups and make decisions going left like passing and doing different things like that. Yesterday was a game where you guys didn’t have three of your opening starters. What has that process been like this year adjusting to those absences? And I wonder how it compares to last year. You guys had to do that much every night. It’s a little different I guess, but it’s I mean like we just have a a good mentality this year on it. Just like whoever’s playing is playing, whoever’s not is not and they’re going to cheer their teammates on. And um kind of just like flow right into a spot, flow right into the system of what we’re doing of trying to, you know, move the ball. everybody, you know, be able to touch the ball, everybody make plays, everybody shoot the ball, do different things like that. So, uh, we want everybody to be healthy. We want everybody to play every single game if that it was up to me. We will all play 82 games, but um, you know, we know that’s that’s probably not going to happen and that’s not possible, but you just have next man up mentality and we we move on from there. Obviously, we know how close you are with Joel. I guess is it frustrating for you to see him like he comes back, he’s beginning to get a rhythm, but then all of a sudden he’s out again with yet another injury. Like how tough is that to see like even as a friend even? Uh as a friend you just want him to be healthy, able to play. We want him to be happy. Long as he’s happy, then I’m happy. You know what I mean? Like that’s at the end of the day. Yes, basketball is our career, but life is is life. You know what I’m saying? You only get one life. So, you got to live life to the fullest. And as long as people are happy, his family’s good, he’s good, and uh you know, he can get on the basketball court as much as possible, then I’m happy. You know, it’s early and you’re very much about the team. with the season you’re having. I’m I’m curious. Is is MVP has that ever been a goal of yours? Um I just want us to win. If we win and that comes with it, then I’m happy. But I don’t really care. Like last night we lost and when I when I played well and we lose, it just not doesn’t make me happy at all. Um but when I play, you know, and I play bad and we win, I’m extremely happy because at the end of the day, like no one really The wins mean more to me, if that makes sense. They mean a lot more. Uh that record, our record is nine and whatever we are right now. We have nine wins. I think that means the most to me is keep stacking days, keep winning, keep getting better every single day, and keep leading this team. What stands out to you about Orlando? I mean, I know uh Pablo may not play, but at the same time, the other five starters are guys starting all averaging double figures. Yeah, they do a good job of like, you know, sharing the ball. Like they’ve been together for a little minute. They’re um their main guys. And they add Desmond Bane to the mix. Desmond Bane is a a known scoreer in this league. He shoot the ball really well. He’s a a big time player as far as like he’s played some big time games in Memphis. So, we know what he’s capable of. And then, you know, the other guys around, they play hard, they play tough, they’re they’re big, they’re strong, they’re athletic, and they like to win. you know, they they are a team that has, you know, had their years of being lower and then now they’re in a in a in a space where they’re trying to win, you know, immediately. So, you know, they’re going to be a tough match up every single time we play them. And it’s always fun playing against those guys. You know, I know some of those guys just from back in the day and then just, you know, seeing them through the great run offseason, you know, different things like that. So, it’ll be
