When Son scored the tying goal vs Whitecaps, thought it was the most Canucks thing ever
Haha. Nice video. Been feeling this way since 2011, I have no sympathy for the Canucks anymore. They’ve had many chances to win and keep and grow a loyal and passionate fan base. And yes, with popularity we had rooted for them even as they raise ticket prices, food prices, while lowering quality of food, fan experience and quite frankly, other than Quinn Hughes, have lowered team expectations to lower than what it has been since the 80s. I’m done. Seek the other local and more affordable sport choices. They have more passion, a growing fan base. Especially a growing and winning culture. Canucks just doing nothing but keeping the corporate stakeholders and their big dollars happy now. #newownerplease
One of these days the decades of pain is going to all pay off …… right guys? Right?
Pain
Well done!
I’m so glad I didn’t renew my sportsnet subscription this year! Let’s go whitecaps!!!!
Rourke and the Lions had a season too
Great clip.
It is sad to me, to be honest, that the works and dreams that forged a proud fandom and a previously great franchise through the likes of Stan Smyl, Arthur Griffiths, Pat Quinn, Trevor Linden, Markus Naslund, Roberto Luongo, and the Sedin brothers has all come to this… corporate ghouls. Ghouls with no care for the dreams of millions, with no respect to the context of professional hockey on the west coast spanning back to the days of Cyclone Taylor and the Vancouver Millionaires.
Wake up, fellow fans, for there are other dreams which Vancouver’s fellow teams care to chase, and the dream of the Stanley Cup is dead.
Stop buying tickets
There was a period of time in the early to mid 90s (when Pat Quinn took over) that the Canucks were good.
There was a period of time in the 2000s and early 2010s (Burke to Gillis) that the team was good.
But they’ve been a dumpster fire the rest of the time, as in the vast majority of their existence. Heck, the only reason the 80s Canucks weren’t the most embarrassing team in sports was because Harold Ballard owned the Leafs.
Anyway being a shit show is what Canucks hockey is all about. The WCE and Sedin eras were the exception to that rule.
I’m 45. I’ve learned to not become so emotionally invested in a sports team that I have zero control over.
*looks into mirror*
I don’t need to buy tickets.
I don’t need to watch every game.
I don’t need the Canucks to make me happy.
Sure it’s great when they are winning and it’s very hard to not get caught up, (beating Nashville 2yrs ago), but once they are eliminated from the playoffs or like this year…not making the playoffs, I move on quickly.
I’ll probably just stick to watching teams with players I want to see, Macklin, Bedard, MacKinnon, McDavid.
I’m still a fan of the “Canucks” and want them to win but I’m not going to be spending my hard earned money on them or giving up my time that’s best spent on other things.

Benny Hill Theme could have been fun as well for our resident Orca-nts
If there’s one saving grace of this dumpster fire of a team, it’s the memes that come from the community.
And they probably don’t make as much combined
Let’s keep buying tickets though…. That’ll fix everything
