The Utah Jazz would want Ausar Thompson in a Lauri Markkanen trade #laurimarkkanen #ausarthompson

So, the Utah Jazz would want Assar Thompson in a possible Lori Markin trade. I feel like he’s been a player that a lot of Pistons fans have really been pounding the table. They want the Pistons to go get Lorie Markin. And I get it from a style standpoint. I get it from a fit standpoint. Having a stretch forward with Kate Cunningham and pick and pops would just be perfect. It really would. But when we kind of just contextualize what a possible trade for Lorie Markin could be, we now know that Utah would want Assar. They probably want draft picks. The Pistons have draft picks that they can include in trades. Now, you’re dealing with Danny A. This is the same general manager that wouldn’t trade Walker Kesler to the Lakers because he wanted two first round picks for a rotational center. I could only imagine what he would want for the Utah Jazz best player. And Lori Markin, mind you, the guy’s almost averaging 30 points a game. He’s averaging 29 as I’m recording this video today on 20 shot attempts. He had just signed a brand new contract extension with Utah. Contract situation is very expensive. 46 this year, 46 the following year, then 49 and 53. Much like Anthony Davis, he’s locked up and it’s a lot of money. If you’re the Pistons, you’re going to have to throw a player like Assar, draft picks, and possibly salary dump, some expiring money or some bets on your team to even get Utah to consider trading their best player. I think of them, the Pistons. We now know what the price is and we can move on from the situation.

  1. We dont want him, we dont need him, garuntee we lose too much…let's just see what happens this year maybe go in to next season as well see what is what and by the trade deadline next season maybe then

  2. Just made this video to report the news on the Lauri talk. I’m against making big splashy trades this season makes no sense right now . The team chemistry is at an all time high

  3. Zero interest at that cost! Ausar is our Dennis Rodman, Our Draymond Green, but with more upside than either guy You need guys like Ausar to compete for titles and there is only like 5 players in the league I would consider Moving Ausar for and it ain't Lauri…

  4. I think the fact that we're playing so well, relieved a lot of pressure on us to make this trade.

Revisit this trade in February 2027. I think the Jazz will be desperate to get something for Lauri at that point.
