Hal Steinbrenner outlines Yankees OFFSEASON priorities
We’re looking at every area of need and we will deem which needs are most significant and which aren’t. Uh we still need another outfielder. We have options. Um you know, we need to improve the bullpen for sure. I I really love our starting rotation next year. We got to get through April uh and get Cole back and Rodon back, but it’s it’s going to be an incredible rotation if if everybody comes back as planned. And uh I think we’re pretty good on the infield as well. Um, but we’re going to look at all options like we always do, uh, as I just said, and see what, uh, what’s possible and, what’s not. When you talk to players and coaches around this team and about things that you need to do better, uh, what what are some of the things that they say to you and do you agree with it? Um, just, you know, ways this team can improve uh, for 26. Yeah, look, uh, mental mistakes, um, base running for sure, which is why we made a change there, uh, has has been a thorn in our side most of the season last year or this year. Um, so yes, I I whatever whatever concerns that they have, you know, it’s not just them. Obviously, Cash is involved too, intimately involved. You know, we’re going to make a change and we’re going to do better at it. But if you’re asking specific about this year, the the base running mistakes was was not good. not good. So, we’ve we’ve made a change there coaching wise and uh you know, we’re going to expect better results this year. We want to field a team we know can win a championship or we believe could win a championship. We don’t know anything um in that regards as far as the future, but yeah. So, we’re we’re it just hasn’t changed, John, which is why, you know, payrolls have gone up probably every year. Doesn’t mean they won’t go slightly down one year and then up the year after that. I mean, it all depends on what’s out there and what the possibilities are and how much I feel, you know, we’re able or we need to pull the trigger on those possibilities.
Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner addressed the media to discuss offseason plans, talking about what changes the team wants to make and how they will attack the offseason.

I like Benninger but he not worth $30 million a year.
Tattis yeah yeah
SELL THE TEAM!!!!! Or give it to your sister who seems to be at every game!!
Good on the infield ? Hes kidding after the production they got from SS and 3rd.
They have to improve at least one of those spots
If you cared about your fans and legacy you'd fire cashman and his entire staff and hire real baseball men. All you care about is your money. You don't care about the Yankees brand, the fans, nor winning.
Its not a lie Hal if you believe it- George Costanza
Worst owner in baseball
I wish the dad was still alive. We wouldn’t be wasting Aaron Judge, Stanton career. We wouldn’t have a little league manager in Aaron Boone. We wouldn’t have a paranoid GM. We wouldn’t be soft, and we wouldn’t be losers every year. We would actually be the New York Yankees and win championships. Sell the team Hal. You have no clue what Yankees pride and tradition is. We wanna win championships not care about selling tickets!
Sell the team, Hal.
