Unfortunately a lot of hornets fans felt this way. Personally I remember Kon not being my first choice, but I never once felt strongly about it and didn’t care at all if we picked him.
There were some wild narratives about Kon lol.
This reminds me of the guy who was nearly in tears when Hornets drafted Brandon Miller. A year later they found him and he said he was wrong and even owned a Miller jersey.
Reminds me of how we were foolish to take Miller over Scoot.

You were still wrong on your ace evaluation tho. He not a “inefficient shot chucker” or “toxic” like your comment said. Both rookies have looked good for they respective roles in totality different situations. We 15 games in on two rookies careers lets relax.
Obviously everyone here is feeling great about the pick right now. I’ll just always have flashbacks to feeling certain we got the best player in the draft in 2020 when Lamelo outplayed Ant Edwards their rookie year.
Happy that we have Kon and was never a fan of Ace but calling people out like that is weird — could’ve hidden the guy with the “stupid” take. Fans are entitled to have super strong opinions and be completely wrong about it.

(ETA I’m mostly a jazz fan who’s thrilled with ace but would be similarly thrilled if it went the other way – both guys are really showing out)
